Just a bunch of average dudes who love football talking about what they love. If you like sitting around, drinking, and talking football, you're in the right place. ©2018-19 All Rights Reserved.
We're back! New name, some new faces, but same old buffoonery. We touch on coaching rumors, MSU's stock, and somehow the Atlanta Braves, who ended up losing anyway.
Hola, welcome back to our weekly fiesta where we laugh at the expense of real humans and also Charlie. This week, we take a look into why Boston College might or might not be garbage, and we also discuss actual interesting things too, don't worry.
The boys are back with another clown fiesta filled with hot takes, spelling, and Box's fears of piggies.
We are back for yet another week of examining last week's offensive clown fiestas across the college football realm, and we look ahead to discuss if Chokelahoma can bounce back against Iowa State, whether Bronco Mendenhall has a snowball's chance in hell against Clemson, and more. The gang is back...kind of. Introducing a new host, new name game, and...new...news? New news. College football is back, Larry Scott still has managed to keep his job, and Notre Dame is still Notre Lame. Also, if anybody has seen Isaac, we are pretty sure he is still attempting to circumnavigate the globe in a hot air balloon, and he left his cell phone here when he left, so we'd appreciate any update. We are back! Well, three of us are, for now. After a pandemic-induced hiatus, we can resume bringing you the latest and greatest from the world of college football! Listen to Episode 74 to hear all about almonds, pineapples, Jim Harbaugh's bad habits, and the color orange! Welcome back folks, we've got some special guests this week! Bub and Spencer join us to talk about HBCUs, SEC football, and much more!
Hello and welcome back to your irregularly scheduled programming! We've got some great croot chat and draft talk for you this week, and a return visitor in Mr. Brandon Cavanaugh (@eightlaces)! Sorry for the delay folks, with the general lack of anything happening in the sports world, we've been having a hard time staying on schedule. We hope you'll bear with us as we do our best to continue putting out quality content in these unprecedented times. Did I use that word right? I keep hearing it everywhere. Anyway, enjoy!
The Rona can't keep us down! We're back and grasping at anything we can find in the world of college football! Come join us as we talk about what to expect in the fall, who the winningest programs in the last couple of decades are, and why you don't mess with Purdue Pete.
It's the one you've all been waiting for. The nicest episode we've made yet. Join us as we fight off death and disease to talk about almost no news, and all our favorite "69"s in college football!
We're back (and by we, I mean 2 of us) to tell you about some of the stuff going on in the desert wasteland of mid-march college football. In an effort to avoid complete insanity, we also try to build the longest chain of college football rivalries we can, using "rivalry" as loosely as some popular schools do!
Welcome back folks! This week, we talk about a little (and I mean a little) coaching news, and a whole lot of Auburn football!
Well, there can be no doubt that we're in the offseason now. Join us as we explain geography to Box, talk about how much a bayou full of gumbo would cost, and laugh at our silly pre-season P5 predictions!
Welcome to another week of the offseason. Slog through it with us as we talk about what happened this week and how wrong some of us were about the final rankings of all the G5 conferences!
Welcome back, folks! Join us once again as we go in depth on this season's coaching carousel!
Hello, and welcome...to the offseason. There's lukewarm beer and stale pretzels in the corner, and you should've received your complimentary "BTN Bucks" from OBJ on the way in. You can't spend them on anything, and they'll somehow get you in trouble later. Despite the lack of football this week, we're back to talk about the surprising volume of news! Buckle up folks, it's a long ride to August!
Hey folks! We're still a little off schedule and that'll likely continue into next week, but we plan to do a full regular episode next time! For now, here's some of us nerds talking about nothing but the best game of football that happened this week!
Happy new year! We're back at it after the holidays with a full bowl recap, news hot off the coaching carousel, and no predictions at all for the single most exciting bowl game of the season, the one that pits the Louisiana school against the most historic school in Ohio! And we talk about the national title game too.
It's a slim crew this week, but we wouldn't leave you without quality content this holiday season. Come listen to how wrong we were about the bowls that have already happened, the ones that are coming up, and why USC is just tanking for the draft!
Hello again, folks! I know I said last week that there may not be an episode this week, but...surprise! We did it anyway because there was plenty worth mentioning. Come hear Tim and Charlie be incredbly wrong again and again as we discuss all the hardware distributed last week and the upcoming bowl slate!
Well, we're a day late and a dollar short, again. Sorry for the delay folks. This week, we bring you all the conference championships you can handle! All 9 of them! We also discuss some of the most promising bowl match-ups and obviously, some playoff talk. There is a very good chance that we won't be putting an episode out either next weekend or the weekend after as most of us are traveling for the holidays, but we'll do our best!
Our deepest apologies for the delay. As promised, we're late for the first (and probably not last) time this holiday season. Buckle in as we talk about some crazy games that happened during rivalry week, why Nick Saban is washed up, and what we expect to see in the conference championship games or as I like to think of them, Round 1 of the Playoffs (for certain schools only, not the G5 ones or most of the P5 ones)!
Hey there folks, welcome back! We're getting so close to the end of the season that it hurts. And this week is RIVALRY WEEK, so there's gonna be plenty of hurt to go around! Just a reminder, the episode next week will be late. Hopefully we'll get it out Tuesday, but there's a chance it will slide to Wednesday.
Welcome back again! It's been another 7/365ths of a year, and we're here to talk about coaches, croots, and crazy catches. Join us as we discuss mostly just Arkansas for a while, and then all the crazy football from last weekend and a lot of less promising football next weekend!
We did it! We are one week closer to being outraged about the choices of a dozen people in a small room! Join us again as we discuss the ever-spinning coaching carousel, scheduling news, croots, and obviously, football games. I know this is a day behind our normal schedule and I want to preemptively apologize for the rest of the year. Monday will likely become our normal release day again going forward with the Holidays and all and there is a good chance that we'll have some delayed releases in the coming weeks.
We're back on schedule with our regular programming! Join as we marvel at how the season has developed so far, talk about some surprisingly good match ups from the past weekend, and the games we're looking forward to! Oh, and of course, THE COACHING CAROUSEL HAS BEGUN TO TURN.
Hey everyone, apologies in advance for a much shorter episode than usual. We were all pretty sad (except for Alexander) after all of our teams lost such heartbreaking games on Saturday, so we opted to record later than usual. We'll be back on schedule next week! Join us this time around for a quick recap of the games we watched, and a preview of a few exciting games coming up next weekend!
We're back on schedule (for now)! Join us this week as we talk about the most chaotic week of football yet, lament what was so close and could have been, and rejoice in what was! I apologize in advance for a few audio glitches in this one, sometimes the service we use to record does weird things to the tone of our voices. Despite Tim's insistence on this, we're not actually going live at any point next week, but our next episode will likely be a little more "raw" than normal, since we're going to figure out some way to record together in Colorado. Expect the next one to be a little later than usual as well, since I'll be flying home Sunday and probably won't put things together until Monday.
Hello again, friends. Join us this week as we discuss how to profit off your players, names built for football, the absurdity of Wisconsin football, the Baylor Meme Train, and more!
Here we go again with football! Games were won, games were lost, and we're here for all of it. Join us as we talk about poor Tennessee, more players bailing on their teams (and their teams bailing on them), how many more losses Buffalo can sustain, and some great G5 matchups!
Hello again, and welcome back! Join us this week as we talk about Portal drama, Buffalo's ruined playoff dreams, the odds of Army winning out, and more on how much milk and steak slow you down!
Hello and welcome back! Join us once again as we discuss the Pac-12's desire to fail, the only thing that looked good for Michigan, the best G5 teams, and which Big 12 team will stumble past Texas!
Oh, hi, I didn't see you there. Thanks for joining us once more around the podcast campfire as we talk about what was and what will be in college football!
We interrupt your regularly scheduled Friday for a special announcement! Take a quick break and listen in as Tim and Christian sit down with Adam Carriker, famed Husker Blackshirt. We talk with Adam on Nebraska football, programs in transition, some defensive technique, and more! You can catch Adam on The Carriker Chronicles, Tuesday through Friday at 8 a.m., and every Sunday night as he goes live with Husker fans across the nation!
Hello again, fellow fans! Join us once again to hear our thoughts on the games that were, Hugh Freeze's logical progression, the remarkable ineptitude of Willie Taggart, all of us missing an incredibly incorrect stat by Charlie, and so much more. Also, we have news! A few weeks ago, the guys over at Pypeline asked us if we'd like to advertise our show on their network! In addition to doing that, a few of us have also started doing some writing for them, which you can find over on their site. So far, Christian has started a weekly Nebraska recap called Empty Husks, and Box has begun handing out the weekly Horniman award. We also have a few other things coming soon, so make sure to check out Pypeline for more!
IT'S HERE! College football is truly here at last, and it feels like this weekend lasted an eternity. With so many games and so little time, we get right down to business! Listen in this week as we discuss the games that were, the games that will be, how many Georgia teams there are, Heaven's Gate 2.0, #11WINBAYLORWATCH, and more.
Come one, come all, to hear Box's splendid takes! We've got news, nonsense, and actual football to talk about this week, and we preview what looks like one hell of a week starting next Thursday! Welcome back, college football. We've missed you.
Hello, and I'm sorry. I apologize in advance for this one, because it's our longest episode yet. We decided on some things we were going to change in order to get our episode lengths under control, and then promptly ignored them all so we could yell at each other more. This week, we talk about QBs, fun scheduling news, how the Alabama Machine keeps rolling, the silly numbers schools are spending on "recruiting", and we finish our conference previews with our two remaining P6 conferences, the AAC and the Big 12!
Hello again, friends! We're back with a pretty packed week...there was so much news and tomfoolery that we ran pretty long this week, sorry about that. As we inch closer to the season, we're here to talk about incorrect celebrations, the worst news out of camps, typography, and how Les Miles' staff is blooming with new buds! Sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Hello again! Join us this week as we talk about real, genuine football news! The season is so close we can taste it, and we work our way through the very first Coaches poll, A&M finally beating Tennessee at something, SMU cheating some more, our incredibly unbiased thoughts on the Big Ten and our actually unbiased thoughts on the MAC West, and some crazy names Box dug up! I apologize for some of the audio issues in this one, Tim's mic was a little uncooperative a few times.
Hello again and welcome back for another week of football goofs and camaraderie! The long, sad winter has finally ended and football is upon us. Join us as we discuss our love/hate affair with the upcoming Miami-Florida game, new and exciting head coaching opportunities, all these CROOTS, existing conferences, and a new conference!
Hey and welcome back folks, I've given up any pretense of releasing on Sunday nights like we promised. I'm too weak to both record and edit on the same day, so this is looking like the new normal. Sorry if I let you down, I'll make it up to you by keeping all the hosts' ramblings to a minimum! Join as once more as we talk about all our favorite quotes from the various media days (and totally buy into the P6 and pretend the rest of the G5 doesn't exist, sorry about that), a competitor to our favorite show, the sad state of affairs in Louisville, and what might (or might not) happen in the SEC this year!
Hear ye, hear ye, a group of morons has once again decided to discuss football! Come join us (and Dustin) as we talk about how we're really a LCU fancast some more, how legs are the true weakness of a QB, running backs and their poor choices, and the Pac-12: 2019 Edition!
Hello and welcome back, folks! It's a light news week, but we didn't let that hold us down, tune in this week for uniform talk, wild opinions, questionable statistics, and rampant speculation as we kick off conferences previews and realignment discussions!
Come on in and have a seat at the podcast feast, friends! This week we have Dustin, a friend of Box and a rare Pac-12 fan, on the show with us, and we discuss a surprising amount of news, including Sam Ehlinger, Tua's fear of competition, how we can get UCLA into the ACC, and a veritable whirlwind of crootin' news. Also, news everyone! We now have an Instagram and a Merch Store! Check out our Insta for Box's sweet graphics, and our store for sweet graphics of Box!
Ha, caught you by surprise didn't I? I'm early this week (and by early, I mean on schedule) and we've got another great guest with us this week, Brandon Cavanaugh! Brandon is a writer for Athlon Sports and spent the evening with us, talking about UConn football, why Auburn is bad, some speculation on Nebraska football, and more! If you want to see more of Brandon's work, you can catch him on Twitter @eightlaces, or find him over at www.eightlaces.com.
Hello again, and sorry again, events just keep getting in the way of us getting this schedule ship upright and on time. This week, we have a very exciting gift for you, we got to interview a real, live coach! Listen in as we talk about alcohol (just a little), how the NFL is pretending to care, spying, and a day in the life of a quality control coach!
Welcome back folks, and my apologies for being late once again. Join us as we discuss alcohol (again), how to be a good commissioner, weed and also grass, and more!
Hello friends, welcome back and sorry for doing exactly what I suggested I might last week. I'm late, but here's a new episode on a new schedule! I will try to get these out Sunday night going forward, unless I'm on a plane again. Have a listen as we talk Herm's firm new plan, Lane Kiffin's next gig, divisional silliness, and impermissible benefits.
News, everyone! This week is gonna be a little odd, due to a change in our recording schedule. We've got a quick one with Tim, Charlie, and Christian just to discuss Nick Saban's future plans and our future plans. For anyone who just wants the update and doesn't need 3 dudes to tell them about it, we will be switching to a Sunday recording schedule going forward, rather than our current Tuesday recording and Wednesday editing schedule. This will give me (Christian) time to edit things Sunday night and have a fresh new episode ready for your Monday commute each week (though sometimes maybe your Tuesday commute). We hope this provides more timely content, especially once we get into the season and have games to talk about! It'd be a shame to make you wait until Thursday to hear what us bozos thought about what happened, so now you can hear about it first thing Monday morning (or Tuesday, since pobody's nerfect).
