Eternals is a noble misfire for the MCU. Directed by winner of the 2021 Best Director Oscar, Chloe Zhao, it attempts to elevate the superhero movie genre. One problem: It's super boring. Eternals, which rambles on for an excruciating 156 minutes, never finds its footing. Plagued by bland characters and a distinct lack of charm, it is never able to distinguish itself among the sea of Marvel movies. And bad news for the House of Mouse, Eternals tepid reviews were only half the problem. Those were trumped by its lack of box office bucks. The latter has more than likely doomed these immortal warriors to the catalogue of one and dones. Now, sit back, stare into the middle distance with a Nordic Jam Lager from Two Pitchers, and put Pip in the drunk tank! The Thunderous Wizard, Chumpzilla, and Bling Blake are riding Deviants across the monochrome sky! This Week's Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – The end was just the beginning! Lingering Questions – Would we care to see these characters again? (49:21) The "Deviants" Trivia Challenge – Chumpzilla challenges the field to trivia about the movie. Piše Marica Škorjanec Kosterca, bereta Aleksander Golja in Eva Longyka Marušič. Uvaja ga opozorilo, da so osebe, dogajanje in kraji plod bogate avtoričine in bralčeve domišljije. Kraji dogajanja se menjujejo. zapisovalka živi z družino v Ljubljani in občasno obiskuje kraje nekdanje skupne države Jugoslavije. Največkrat potuje v Bosno in Hercegovino, njene začasne postaje so: Sarajevo, Mostar, Čapljina, Zenica, Banjaluka, Tuzla in Brčko. Svoja erotična doživetja in telesna občutenja opisuje nazorno in realistično. O nezaželenosti in zavračanju. Pisateljica Miša Gams spretno prepleta problematiko migracij z ljubezensko zgodbo med alžirskim migrantom in poročeno slovensko intelektualko. Zelo podrobno in realistično opisuje spolne odnose in položaje. Gotovo bo ta povezava tragike in ljubezni, zanimivih predstavitev krajev, oseb in dogodkov pritegnila pozornost bralcev in bralk. Svobodna ljubezen, prikazana v literarnih delih, ne dopušča moralističnega vrednotenja. Slog pisanja občasno spominja na prozo legendarnega Charlesa Bukowskega. Protagonistka je nad ljubimcem globoko razočarana in prizadeta, saj je zanj žrtvovala skoraj vse.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Z nami so bili gostje: - mag. Målningen ingår i Museo del Prados samling.
Listen to 141 Future Now Show This week the film “The Age of Disclosure” is making waves (on Amazon Prime), especially in our home town of Santa Cruz, also home to Danny Sheehan’s New Paradigm Institute, and his push for governmental opening on the alien/ufo/uap question. Bobby Wilder was there at the local sceening of The Age of Disclosure, with a first hand report. Ara, our show’s fav AI, adds much to this discussion as well, connecting many of the ‘dots’ of what’s happening in this arena, and giving us a roadmap for what’s ahead. What’s happening with Bitcoin may have some folks concerned, but not Bobby! It’s his opinion that it’s time to buy now, when it’s low. We explore this topic to some extent this week. In other news, tryptophan was found not just in turkeys this week, but in space, in a pristine return sample from the asteroid Bennu, bringing the tally of protein-building amino acids in the asteroid to 15 out of 20…further supporting the theory that biological life may have been spread by asteroids.. and body fat takes on a new light when considering it as an organ of the body, complete with immune, blood, and neural networks embedded. What does this new take on fat imply? Stem cells from fat may soon repair spinal injuries, a huge breakthrough! And now Ozempic may be helping many combat addictions to unhealthy food and drugs, like chips and opioids. But at what cost? We explore the implications..and don’t miss our update on 3I/ATLAS and its newly discovered swarm of..? Enjoy! This week’s topics

Sorry I'm late to posting this week; I'd actually planned to take the four-day week into the three-day holiday weekend off, but "one big beautiful" legislative disaster has spawned this internal need to stay at it, this week.As did Thom Tillis' floor speech over the weekend, followed by his announcement he'd not seek re-election in 2026. Suddenly, Democrats have an opportunity in North Carolina to pick up a Senate seat in an otherwise bleak Senate cycle for them.As Trump's coveted "one big beautiful bill" makes its way through Congress, we're already seeing even GOP-led states like Georgia brace for and re-allocate funds to stunt its effects. Here, they're racing to "amp up Medicaid hospital funding by $2 billion" in anticipation of this bill's passage.

(40:44) The saga between the Red Sox and Rafael Devers came to an abrupt end with the disgruntled DH getting shipped to San Francisco for two pitchers and prospects. Was this a good move by Boston? Does this make the Giants contenders in the NL? Plus, it was a lost weekend for the New York teams as they were both surprisingly swept. And Shohei Ohtani will make his Dodgers pitching debut vs. San Diego. What should we expect? (57:35) After what was a US Open to forget, one player came up from the rubble to win the tournament. His name is JJ Spaun. I'll recap what turned out to be a slog and a wet one at that as the third golf major of the year is already in the books. It's been about three weeks since the the Legislature adjourned from the 2025 session without completing a state budget.Since then, teams of negotiators have met, mostly in private, to try to chart a path to the end and craft remaining budget bills. Lawmakers will have to complete this task to avoid a partial government shutdown that would interrupt services in state parks, key health programs, driver's licensing exams and more. A one-day special session has been called for 10 a.m. Monday. Will there be enough votes to approve a final compromise? MPR News politics editor Brian Bakst talks with two House leaders about a state budget and what could happen if the budget deal isn't met. Later in the program, a look at the return-to-office for many state employees and a roundtable with Capitol journalists on everything happening in this not-so-quiet start to summer. There's a western flavour to this week's show with the on duty Alan Keane dialling in to discuss the contrasting fortunes of Galway United and Sligo Rovers as the league table begins to take shape. We hear from Tim Clancy about why Cork City's season has gone south, ruminate what Liam Boyce's indiscipline says about issues up north before heading across the sea to discuss Dan's analysis of Packie Bonner. Stephen Bradley hails Jack Byrne's apparent rebirth before the lads discuss the apparent healing powers of Kevin Doherty's Holy Springs where the price of redemption is sometimes as much as €10 per ball. If that doesn't make sense now, it might do by the time you listen to this weekly catch up sponsored by our friends at Rascals Brewing, Collar & Cuff, Sport Cosanta and Future Ticketing. Listen quickly before John Delaney turns up for the publicity photo.
This week my guest is biomechanist Katy Bowman, author of twelve–count ‘em, twelve–books that explore how to improve health and boost well-being through movement, including the best-selling “Move Your DNA,” as well as her newest, “I Know I Should Exercise, But….” Her back catalog includes “My Perfect Movement Plan,” “Rethink Your Position,” “Movement Matters,” “Dynamic Aging,” “Grow Wild,” “Simple Steps to Foot Pain Relief,” “Diastasis Recti,” “Don't Just Sit There,” “Whole Body Barefoot,” and “Alignment Matters.” In fact, Katy has published so many books that she founded her own independent press, Uphill Books. She has also been named one of Maria Shriver's Architects of Change for her work to change the way we move and understand our need for movement, and is the founder of the movement education company Nutritious Movement, based in Washington state, where she lives. (This episode is a re-broadcast, in honor of the release of “I Know I Should Exercise, But…”) We covered: - How writing a book is really an exercise in processing everything she's learned for herself (in addition to being a way to communicate information) - Finding the kind of writing that feels like a downhill flow instead of an uphill slog - Matching your output to your phase of life - How to find the quiet you need to write in a noisy world - Balancing the necessity and allure of technology with a hunger for real-world, in person, nourishing experiences (what she calls “nutrient-dense” experiences) - How she works movement into her writing process - How walking boosts creativity - How she makes the most of her mornings (and why she doesn't have coffee until she's done this one thing each morning) Visit Katy at nutritiousmovement.com or follow her on Instagram @nutritiousmovement. We start off the show by reflecting on an enjoyable day at The Upstairs Pub with IU fans and our friends from across the Back Home Network, before talking about the Michigan loss and the overall vibe in Assembly Hall and Bloomington. We talk through the Woodson news, the things IU needs to immediately address in the hiring process, and reflect on how challenging the next 6-8 weeks may end up being for fans.
A Saturday finish at the Farmers Open allowed for a Sunday morning recording, so Andy and Brendan went live on YouTube to recap Harris English's fifth PGA Tour win. English gets his flowers as a worthy champion and true professional, shooting a 73 with 12 straight pars to secure a win. Most of the Torrey chatter is about slow pace-of-play yet again, as even Dottie Pepper called out the long Saturday rounds on the broadcast. In other notables, Luke Clanton finished t15, gaining another point in the PGA Tour U standings, and two of this gambling podcast's picks for the week finished in the top 15 as well. Andy and Brendan then check in on the Game Within a Game for the DP World Tour's event in the UAE, where Big Shot Bob Karlsson was the only one to make the cut of the three options. In news, Andy and Brendan discuss more quotes from PGA of America CEO Derek Sprague about "hitting the pause button" on the proposed rollback. In an interview with Golf Digest, Sprague reiterated that the PGA of America would not be in support of the rollback and expressed a desire for golf leadership to gather "all around the table," as if that hasn't happened before. Sponsor exemptions were announced for the AT&T Pebble Beach this week and, as expected, Jordan Spieth is on the list. He's joined by Gary Woodland, Keith Mitchell, and Rickie Fowler, which leads to a short look at Rickie's current status in the game. Finally, Andy, Brendan, and PJ look ahead to their trip to Florida for the debut of the Ballfrogs against Kevin Kisner and Jupiter Links on Monday night.

Kwikfish, Lazy Ike, Flat Fish, Mag Lip — these lures can all become day savers and day makers, especially in the winter when numb fingers make casting and reeling not so fun. In this episode, Captain Frank Campbell breaks down his simple, yet highly effective, method for catching anything that swims with these lures (no trolling required). Hosted by OL fishing editor Joe Cermele. Edited by Mike Pederson / Eighty Five Audio.
Of all the offseasons for pro sports, baseball is the worst. Look at the difference between NFL free agency and baseball free agency. There is so much waiting for baseball deals to get done. Gio thinks Steve Cohen does have a limit with what he will spend, especially seeing how well the Mets did with this past season's team. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Jets trading Mike Williams to the Steelers. Aaron Rodgers talked about the Jets making a run to string some wins together. Bill Belichick was asked about teams committing too many penalties. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about Gisele being pregnant already. Ocho talked about ‘post nut clarity'. Brian Cashman talked about the Yankees losing the World Series and said they had a good team they just didn't play their best at the time. In the final segment of the hour, the Giants are actually favored this week against the Panthers. It's the first time since week 2 of last year at Arizona. It's been 24 games since they've been favored.
