Welcome to new PATREON EXECUTIVE PRODUCER REALTERS CHOICE PHOTOGRAPHY VW WORKERS URGE FASTER EV ROLLOUT "Volkswagen's (VW) main plant in Wolfsburg might face historically low output this year and needs a faster shift toward electric vehicles to remain competitive, according to the German automaker's top labour officials." reports News24.com: "The rollout of electric car, Trinity, due in 2026 may be too late, according to VW officials. Furthermore, a global chip shortage also happens manufacturing at Wolfsburg. Due to the persistent scarcity of semiconductor chips, the output at Wolfsburg this year could even fall below the level of 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic pushed production to just below 500 000 cars, according to VW's works council. VW's initial goal agreed in a labour pact five years ago was to make at least 820 000 vehicles in Wolfsburg last year." https://www.news24.com/fin24/companies/industrial/vw-workers-urge-faster-electric-vehicle-rollout-at-worlds-largest-biggest-car-factory-20211002 MERCEDES-BENZ GIVES SMALLER 60 KWH BATTERY TO EVITO TOURER, EQV "The Mercedes-Benz eVito Tourer (the all-electric variant of the Metris Passenger Van sold in the US) and the more luxurious EQV are getting a new battery pack option. Up until now, both models came with a 100 kWh battery (90 kWh usable), so is Mercedes-Benz giving them an even bigger pack for more range? Well, no. Actually, the new battery option has a 60 kWh net capacity, enabling a range of 217–239 kilometers (135-148 miles) on the eVito Tourer." says InsideEVs: "The standard fast charging function has an output of 50 kW, but an 80 kW option is also possible, in which case the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 35 minutes. Mercedes-Benz argues that the smaller battery will appeal to customers “who cover easy-to-plan routes or who only drive short distances, such as in school transport operations.” Furthermore, it should also be interesting for those buyers looking for a weight saving of 150 kg (330 lbs) and a corresponding payload increase. Last but not least, the 60 kWh battery drives the eVito Tourer's price down by approximately €3,600 ($4,175) compared to the equivalent 90 kWh model (€60,678 versus €64,248)." During the tests, the electric trucks tackled a total of 54,000 metres of altitude. The highest point of the trip was reached during measurement runs at the Kaunertal Glacier, at a height of 2,750 metres. In order to validate the trucks' performance and durability, the testing engineers at Mercedes-Benz Trucks then subjected the electric vehicles, which were loaded to their gross vehicle weight of 27 tonnes, to an extremely gruelling series of tests in the area surrounding Bolzano, South Tyrol. The Alpine terrain enabled the engineers to make particularly extensive use of the vehicles' energy recovery feature, which can be exploited by driving with foresight. Series production of the eActros will start at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth at the beginning of October 2021. The now independent battery division of the South Korean company is called SK On. With the announced spin-off, the Korean company wants to enable the battery division to better focus on the fast-growing market for electric cars and their batteries – independently of the other business lines of the listed company." writes electrive: "The plan is to expand global battery production capacity from the current 40 GWh per year to 85 GWh by 2023, to 220 GWh by 2025 and to over 500 GWh by 2030. In addition, it was announced a few days ago that SK Innovation, together with Ford, will invest in the construction of two new sites with assembly and battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky – with a total capacity of 129 GWh per year." That's according to new research from electric car website Electriying.com, which has ranked the UK's biggest supermarkets in order of EV-friendliness." reports UK Motor1.coM: "Tesco topped the list, with almost half (45 percent) of its UK superstores boasting charging facilities, while Morrisons came second with four in 10 (40 percent) of stores offering EV charging. At the opposite end of the scale, just seven percent of Sainsbury's stores offer at least one EV charging point." The investment means Octopus has attained a valuation of around $4.6 billion."£ says TechCrunch: "Octopus has made a name for itself in energy circles largely because of its “Kraken” technology platform, which it claims is able to reroute energy from renewable sources around a network far more efficiently than competitors. Octopus is now managing 17 million energy accounts in 12 countries in this manner. Octopus has also earlier launched Electric Juice, an electric vehicle “roaming network” of 100,000 charge points across Europe that allows users to charge their personal Octopus Energy account when they charge their EVs. It's also partnered with Tesla to launch Tesla Power in the U.K. and Germany." The first version of the software was created by the Audi Brussels quality management department for testing the Audi e-tron's battery, and then received further work from VW Group Components at Salzgitter, which is the site of VW's new battery laboratories. The device first checks whether a given battery is able to communicate, after plugging in the low-voltage connectors. BattMan then detects and brings up any error messages present, in addition to the insulation resistance, temperatures, cell voltages, and capacity." The numbers included more than 7,500 P7 sports sedans and more than 2,650 G3 and G3i SUVs. XPeng also got a solid start with its P5 family sedans, which launched mid-month and accounted for 244 vehicle deliveries. For the quarter, 25,666 deliveries was a record, also tripling year over year. Year to date, XPeng has delivered more than 56,400 cars and SUVs, more than 300% higher than at the same time in 2020." says Nasdaq.com: "Li Auto had promising numbers compared to last year's results, but the company noted some pressures that weighed on its sequential performance. Monthly deliveries of 7,094 vehicles were more than double what Li delivered in September 2020. "In issue one of T3, we reported on the release of the EV1, a fully electric car from General Motors, one of America largest automobile manufacturers. The sleek two-door, two-seater is generally regarded as the first mass-produced EV available to the public. It had a 0-60 time of around 8.4 seconds and a range of between 70 and 100 miles – and up to 140 miles for the second generation model. (BMW's i3 will only do around 150 and that was released in 2013.)" says T3: "The EV1 launched in 1996, with the improved model II appearing in 1999. But instead of losing interest – or being pressured out of the market – let's imagine GM stuck with it…" Read more: https://www.t3.com/us/news/what-if-the-gm-ev1-electric-car-had-been-a-success NEW QUESTION OF THE WEEK WITH EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM Returns on Sunday 10th October! ID.4 AWD PRO AND PRO S PRICE & RANGE CONFIRMED "Although this version of the ID.4 is marketed under the GTX subbrand in Europe, the U.S. model gets a subtler moniker here but has the same upgraded powertrain. With the 2021 ID.4 AWD Pro and Pro S now ready for sale, Volkswagen has announced the EPA estimates for range and efficiency, along with pricing for the newest member of the ID family." "The Volkswagen ID.4 AWD Pro and Pro S models add an extra motor on the front axle, increasing power by 94 horsepower to 295 and boosting torque by 110 pound-feet to 339. These powertrain upgrades drop the range by around ten miles according to the EPA, with the AWD Pro going 249 miles on a charge while the Pro S can manage 240 miles." "The 2021 ID.4 AWD Pro will start at $44,870 and the the AWD Pro S will cost $49,370, increases of $3680 over the rear-wheel-drive models." https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37608536/vw-id4-awd-details VOLVO CARS GEARS UP FOR $20 BLN IPO "China's Geely Holding (GEELY.UL) is in advanced discussions with banks to list its Volvo Cars unit in the coming weeks, three sources told Reuters, in what is expected to be one of Europe's biggest initial public offerings (IPOs) this year." "Volvo Cars is aiming for a valuation of about $20 billion in the planned Stockholm listing, the sources said, with one saying the launch was pencilled in for the end of September." "Geely, which bought Volvo from Ford Motor(F.N) more than a decade ago in the biggest acquisition by a Chinese firm of a foreign car maker, sought to float shares in the Swedish firm in 2018 but then pulled the deal. A $20 billion valuation for Volvo would be equivalent to six to seven times its earnings, a level some analysts say is high although it would put it in line with rivals Daimler (DAIGn.DE) and BMW (BMWG.DE). Tesla's valuation is more than 70 times." "Rivian, which rolled its first electric pickup truck off the production line this week, will seek a valuation of about $70 billion to $80 billion when it goes public at the end of this year, sources have told Reuters." https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/volvo-cars-gears-up-20-bln-ipo-coming-weeks-sources-say-2021-09-15/ INSTAVOLT TARGETS INSTALLING 10,000 EV CHARGERS BY 2030 "EV charging provider InstaVolt has published a pledge to install 10,000 electric vehicle chargers across the UK by 2030. However, the company has some way to go but points to some powerful partnerships." "So far, InstaVolt has a thousand chargers either active or in development and yet set ambitious intermediate targets. Speaking of the commitment, InstaVolt CEO Adrian Keen said the company was on track to deliver or exceed its earlier pledge of 5,000 rapid chargers by 2025" "InstaVolt points to important partnerships in recent months, including deals with McDonald's and Costa Coffee where it began rolling out new 120-kW charging stations. This is a notch up in an engagement going back to June 2020. At the time, McDonald's had more than 1,300 branches in Great Britain." "InstaVolt relies on BYD technology for the new charging units that deliver up to 125 kW. The charging stations have one CCS and one CHAdeMO connector on each unit allowing two cars to be charged at once." https://www.electrive.com/2021/09/15/uk-instavolt-targets-installing-10000-ev-chargers-by-2030/ CHINA'S XPENG OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES THE MORE AFFORDABLE P5 FASTBACK "Chinese electric vehicle startup XPeng unveiled its latest vehicle on Wednesday named the P5. The fully electric P5 fastback will compete with models like the Tesla Model 3. The P5 is also the world's first production vehicle equipped with automotive-grade lidar technology to support safe autonomous driving." "The more affordable P5 is immediately available for order in China with six different configurations available. The retail price ranges from RMB 157,900 to RMB 223,900 (US$24,484 to $34,717). The P5 comes with either a 55.9 kWh, 66.2 kWh or 71.4 kWh battery option." "The P5 expands XPeng's autonomous driving feature called "Navigation Guided Pilot" (NGP). The feature originally worked on highways but now its being updated to work on secondary roads for point to point navigation. The city version of NGP will allow for high-precision navigation that's specifically tailored to China's challenging city road conditions. NGP will also be upgraded to "NGP-L", which integrates with lidar for even safer automated driving on China's highways and expressways." https://www.futurecar.com/4871/Chinas-XPeng-Officially-launches-the-More-Affordable-P5-Fastback-the-Worlds-First-Production-Vehicle-Equipped-with-Lidar OLA'S 70 MPH ELECTRIC SCOOTERS SELLING TWO EVERY SECOND Ola's S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters are off to a massive start after the first day of sales, with CEO Bhavish Aggarwal claiming that the company is selling two electric scooters every second." "The company boasted 80,000 sales in the first 12 hours. To put that into perspective, that's a daily sales rate that matches the quarterly sales rate of electric scooter industry leader NIU." "The Ola S1 and S1 Pro are powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor. The base-level S1 has a top speed of 90 km/h (56 mph) while the S1 Pro can reach higher speeds of up to 115 km/h (71 mph)." https://electrek.co/2021/09/15/olas-70-mph-electric-scooters-selling-like-hotcakes-two-every-second/ WORLD'S FIRST BATTERY-ELECTRIC FREIGHT TRAIN UNVEILED "The world's first battery-electric freight train was unveiled at an event in Pittsburgh on Friday, amid a fresh attempt by some US lawmakers to slash carbon emissions from rail transport in order to address the climate crisis." It restarted on July 6 – but is already going back on hold ahead of schedule just 10 weeks later. The program has provided an estimated $30 million a year in incentives toward nearly 9,000 EVs over two years, The incentives amount to $25 per mile of a vehicle's all-electric range, as rated by the Environmental Protection Agency. Cars with a manufacturer's suggested retail price under $45,000 can receive up to $5,000 in incentives.Vehicles with an MSRP between $45,000 and $55,000 can receive up to $2,000. https://www.utilitydive.com/news/house-committee-to-mark-up-150b-clean-electricity-performance-program-toda/606422/ GRAVITY IS LAUNCHING AN INDOOR CHARGING HUB IN NYC WITH PLANS TO SCALE Electric vehicle fleet and infrastructure startup Gravity thinks it has cracked the code for urban EV charging infrastructure. The company, which was founded in February this year, announced its construction project to convert an indoor parking garage in the middle of Manhattan into a public EV fast charging hub. When the 29-space garage on 42nd Street, which Gravity is leasing from real estate firm Related Companies, opens within a few weeks, it will be the island's first dedicated EV charging space Finding a place to park your car in New York City is a nightmare in and of itself. Finding a park and a charge for your EV is like finding a unicorn, and probably an expensive unicorn at that. Most of NYC's EV charge points are behind the literal paywalls of parking garages, where you might find one or two Blink or EV Connect chargers nestled into a sea of ICE vehicle parking spaces. With Gravity's hub, parking is free while cars are being charged. The only cost is that of electricity. Gravity's first site will accommodate about 22 fast chargers, three intermediate chargers and a few slow chargers. All of the fast chargers are up to 180 kW, which means that even when two vehicles are plugged into one installation, each plug can do 90 kW of energy. Many of the parking spots will be taken up by Gravity's fleet of Tesla Model Y Yellow Cabs, which will charge overnight. https://techcrunch.com/2021/09/15/gravity-is-launching-an-indoor-charging-hub-in-nyc-with-plans-to-scale/ QUESTION OF THE WEEK WITH EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM Taking a break this week – back on Sunday 19th! HOW LONG DOES THE VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 TAKE TO CHARGE FROM 0% TO 100%? - Although we've already done some DC fast charging tests, we had the opportunity to repeat the test on an ID.4 First Edition, so we drained the battery down to zero and charged it up to 100% on an Electrify America 150 kW DC fast charger. - The ID.4 has an 82 kWh battery, of which 77 kWh is usable. Its peak charging rate is supposed to be 125 kW, but we were able to touch 131 kW. In fact, the ID.4 charged at 123 kW or more all the way up to the 30% state of charge point, and it took only 12 minutes to do so. - 50% state of charge in 20 minutes, and after 40 minutes, the vehicle is at 80% state of charge and has taken in 67 kWh. - While the vehicle was charging from 0% to 80%, the average power it took in was 110 kW, which is nearly 90% (88%, actually) of its stated peak charging rate. - As good a charging EV as the ID.4 is, it may get even better very soon. That's because we have heard that Volkswagen may soon increase the ID.4's maximum charge rate from 125 kW to 175 kW through an OTA software update. The lap, the onboard of which was rather abruptly uploaded to the company's YouTube channel today (10th September) has not been verified by Nürburgring officials would be over 11 seconds faster than the Porsche Taycan Turbo S's previous benchmark. - Telsa appearing to max out at 286km/h (177mph) down the legendary Döttinger Höhe straight. The car appears to be virtually standard, at least to the naked eye, with the only obvious changes being a visible rollcage, accurate racing speedo and small red killswitch on the centre console. Next will be modified Plaid with added aero surfaces, carbon brakes & track tires (all things that can be done without Tesla being in the loop) Original Source : https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-s-plaid-track-pack-details-release-date-elon-musk/ 2022 RIVIAN R1T GEAR TUNNEL HANDS-ON REVIEW - When the 2022 Rivian R1T electric pickup truck made its debut, it impressed us with its design, range, and capability. Besides looking quite different from any pickup truck on the market today, the Rivian R1T has a ton of storage space provided by its 4.5-foot bed, its frunk, its in-bed trunk, and its gear tunnel. - The answer as to what fits in the tunnel is: a bunch of whatever you like. The Rivian R1T's gear-tunnel volume is 11.6 cubic feet, or 0.6 cubic foot more than the R1T's frunk. On our (TAT) adventure, we fit a couple of carry-on sized suitcases, a couple of duffle bags, a backpack, and a briefcase in the tunnel all at the same time. The gear tunnel is deep, and if you're good with Tetris you can fit even more stuff than you think, especially if you have items you can fold, bend, or squeeze. Nio also confirms that the ET7 will be the first model to be launched in Germany in 2022. - Nio had announced the market entry in Norway as the first European country. Starting this month, the first examples of the ES8 E-SUV will be delivered there. - Nio now confirmed that the first vehicles in Germany will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2022 – but unlike in Norway, it will not be the ES8, but the ET7 electric sedan. - The ET7 is a 5.10-metre-long premium sedan with up to 480 kW of power and – measured in the outdated NEDC – up to 1,000 kilometres of range when the largest battery with 150 kWh is installed. (NYSE: NIO) unveiled its all-new ET7 sedan at its Nio Day event in early January, and deliveries of the EV maker's first-ever sedan will likely begin in the first quarter of 2022. - Nio could release a version of the ET7 with low-cost lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, batteries, as opposed to the ternary lithium-ion batteries it now uses, the CnEVPost reported, citing information released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The ET7 was included in MIIT's list of the latest models that will be part of its product announcement, the report said. This suggests the sedan will likely hew to Nio's scheduled delivery timeframe. The ET7's description in the list reportedly suggests batteries for the model will be supplied by Nio's longtime supplier CATL. - LFP batteries are relatively cheaper than ternary lithium-ion batteries. The adoption of LFP batteries could make the ET7 affordable to potential customers. OPEL ROCKS-E TINY EV REVEALED AS REBADGED CITROEN AMI - the Opel Rocks-e is essentially a rebadged Citroën Ami, meaning it's not a car per se, but rather a quadricycle based on the European Union classification. - Speaking of which, it inherits the tiny 5.5-kWh pack from its French equivalent, giving it a maximum WLTP range of 47 miles (75 kilometres). - As it's the case with the Citroën Ami, the doors open in opposite directions and the Rocks-e has several interchangeable body parts. The diminutive two-seater EV gets Opel's Vizor front-end treatment, although it's not much different when compared to the donor car. - Opel Rocks-e is powered by an electric motor producing just eight horsepower (six kilowatts) for a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). It can be legally driven in Europe from the age of 15 - In its home market Deutschland, the little EV will be sold in base, Klub, and TeKno trim levels. TESLA CHINA SHIPMENTS OF LOCALLY MADE CARS PLUNGE IN JULY "Tesla Inc. shipments of China-made cars to the local market fell sharply last month following a run of negative publicity and the recall of almost every vehicle the company has sold in the country." - Tesla's domestic sales were the lowest in the last 15 months, Dan Levy, a Credit Suisse analyst, wrote to clients. In addition Europe, Tesla's China-made cars are being exported to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. The company has said the Shanghai factory has become its primary export hub. · Original Source : https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-10/tesla-china-deliveries-of-locally-made-cars-plunge-69-in-july Tesla sold 32,968 China-made vehicles in July - Tesla Inc sold 32,968 China-made vehicles in July, including 24,347 for export, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said on Tuesday. - Local sales of China-made vehicles plunged 69% to 8,621 cars from 28,138 in June. Tesla's sales in the first month of each quarter are usually lower than the following two months. - China's BYD sold 50,387 electric vehicles last month, while General Motors Co's China joint venture with SAIC Motor delivered 27,347 units. Some of those variants are expected to be exported to other markets that will get the electric SUV for the first time. - There appears to be 2 Model Y Standard Range versions – one with a domestically produced motor and one with an imported motor. - The fact that Tesla is applying to produce two versions of the Model Y Standard Range in China could mean that one of them is going to be exported to other markets. - Among the new Model Y versions that Tesla is applying to produce in China, there are also a new Model Y Long Range RWD, Model Y Long Range Dual Motor, and a new Model Y Performance. The most surprising is the Model Y Long Range RWD since it's not something Tesla is currently offering on the online configurator for the electric SUV in China. The NGP includes features that give a real-time readout of traffic lights across China's urban cities, according to a video circulated on China's social media. - the P5 made two automatic lane changes with voice-over assistance and merged into the left lane. The vehicle was then able to recognise the green light at an intersection, passing through it before the light turned red, in a demonstration of the vehicle's 32 perception sensors in action. - Xpeng priced P5's price at between 160,000 yuan and 230,000 yuan (US$35,460) to attract budget-conscious customers last month, soon after Tesla unveiled a cheaper version of its Model Y sports-utility vehicle that was 20 per cent cheaper than its extended-range version. TESLA LAUNCHES SUBSCRIPTION FOR FULL SELF DRIVING - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) said on Saturday it has introduced an option for some customers to subscribe to its advanced driver assistance software, dubbed "Full Self-Driving capability", for $199 per month, instead of paying $10,000 upfront. - Tesla said the subscription service is available in vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving computer 3.0 or above. - Tesla has been testing its new semi-autonomous driving software for city streets and last week released "FSD Beta v9" to a limited number of customers. Original Source : https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-launches-subscription-service-advanced-driver-assistance-software-2021-07-17/ TESLA LAUNCHES ITS FULL SELF-DRIVING SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE FOR $199 PER MONTH - For those who own a vehicle without the FSD computer (HW3.0), they can still order the monthly subscription, but they are going to have to pay $1,500 for the computer upgrade, which is included in the $10,000 price of a direct purchase. Finally, Tesla is also selling the package for $99 per month for those who already purchased the now-defunct Enhanced Autopilot package, which already included some of the features in the FSD package. Original Source : https://electrek.co/2021/07/16/tesla-launches-full-self-driving-subscription-package-199-per-month/ TESLA DEBUTS 'FSD' SUBSCRIPTION FOR $199 PER MONTH - One eligible owner shared a notice they received from Tesla on Friday with CNBC, which said:“Full Self-Driving capability is now available as a monthly subscription. Upgrade your Model Y ... for $199 (excluding taxes) to experience features like Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Lane Change, Auto Park, Summon and Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control. The currently enabled features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.” - FSD features are “subject to change, limited by region,” and can only be used on Tesla vehicles that have newer hardware and Autopilot technology installed.Drivers are responsible for tolls, parking or other traffic violations that happen in a Tesla that's operating with FSD features engaged.Tesla can increase the price for a subscription any time, but will give drivers a one-month advance notice before billing them at a new rate. Owners can cancel FSD any time but the company won't prorate their monthly payment if they do. Tesla can suspend or cancel a driver's FSD subscription if they use the technology, “for anything unauthorized or inappropriate” or for non-payment. It's got plenty of range, ultra-fast charging, excellent comfort and lots of kit. The interior is vast and packed with the best tech here, plus it has great performance for the cash – a Mach-E with similar speed is on the wrong side of £50,000. The Hyundai is practical, refined and has its own identity, cementing a deserved win. - The Mach-E is a brilliant electric car, although in RWD Standard Range form it loses out when it comes to practicality, charging and range, hence its second-place finish. Yet the Ford offers the best driving experience in an electric car at this kind of price, with enjoyable handling and a responsive powertrain, plus it's packed with tech, and the entry-level model is pretty strong value, especially on PCP finance. - The ID.4 falls to third place, but it's definitely still a great choice. It's the most practical of these three and also the most comfortable. It has a slightly longer range than its rivals Original Source : https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/hyundai/ioniq-5/355583/ioniq-5-vs-volkswagen-id4-vs-ford-mustang-mach-e BMW TESTS VEHICLE-TO-GRID EV CHARGING SCHEME WITH I3 FLEET - A group of 20 customers in Germany have been given BMW i3 electric cars equipped with the new technology, and an additional 30 are set to be delivered to business users over the next few weeks. - BMW hopes it will turn electric cars into ‘mobile energy storage devices' that can supply electricity to the grid when needed. - Those taking part in the pilot scheme will also benefit from a new technology package. This consists of new in-vehicle and backend technology developed by BMW; an intelligent charging wallbox from Kostal; and the networking for interconnecting the electric car, wallbox and electrical installation in the customer's building with the power grid from energy firms Bayernwerk, KEO and Tennet. BMW says the scheme is needed due to the growing need to control energy flows and consumption as the number of electric vehicles increases. The two-seater vehicle charges automatically in sunlight and has the option of swappable batteries if its charge is low. - Even in northern countries the sun gives enough energy for average urban use. The solar panel works in any light, also in the shade. The vehicle is powered by electric motors and batteries so it also works in the night, in winter or indoors . When extra range is needed, the portable batteries can be charged directly from a normal power socket. - Squad Mobility points out that, as the average person in this LEV segment drives 12 km per day, this is enough on most days. They are aimed squarely at the urban mobility space and can reach top speeds of 45 km/h (28 mph). A devoted gearhead, Lunny's passion for cars has led him to swapping gas for electricity with new company Everrati. - The company's working on '89 to '93 Porsche 911s (called the "964" generation) for now, but expansion is on the way. - The team is from the likes of McLaren, Jaguar Land Rover, and more. Each car is extensively tested and set up before anyone outside of the company gets a look at it. - Everrati's Porsche 911 comes with a more tried and tested setup that'll make a certain group of EV fans very happy: a Tesla powertrain - If battery tech moves on, Everrati can upgrade its componentry. Or if you want to put a gas motor back, the conversion is fully reversible — though Lunny said Everrati can turn your Porsche's old engine into a coffee table if you'd like.
