Andy CurtissCCA Season 2 Episode 11: Andy CurtissSunday March 15 7:00 PM CST Andy CurtissAbout Andrew CurtissAndrew Curtiss;(1978-present) was born in Rome, New York, and grew up in the mountains and hills of upstate New York’s Tug Hill area. He spent his youth engaged training in several martial arts from Wrestling to Tae-Kwan-Do and Muay Thai Kickboxing. By his 17th Birthday he had attained the Men’s National Karate Championship title for all 3 divisions in the A.I.K.A. (American Independent Karate Association and was an amateur World Runner-up kickboxer. He joined the U.S. Army upon his graduation from high school. While serving in the Army in 1998 Andrew became involved No Holds Barred Fighting or with what is now called the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. After turning professional in the sport in 1998 Andrew was forced by the military to no longer compete, due to the hazards of the sport and it’s potential effects on his military career. While in the Army Andrew had served in the elite F. Company 51st Infantry (Long Range Surveillance) unit as an Infantry Paratrooper scout and was later specially selected and trained as a Green Beret. Andrew is a decorated veteran of the Global War on Terror who was nominated for one of the nations highest awards for valor; the Silver Star. Andrew was awarded the Bronze Star with a “V” device. His first book, “Combat Application Techniques: Principles of Destruction,” was written based on the military combatives program he had developed for his Special Forces “A” Team. Andrew left service in the Army in 2007 and later rejoined the professional sport of Mixed Martial Arts in 2008 under the nick name of “The Rabid Wolverine,” a name he earned from his boxing training partners because of his aggressiveness and his pork chop side burned beard; akin to the Marvel Comic’s character “Wolverine”.In 2010 his book 1984 Redux Say Hello to Big Brother was published by Authorhouse. This book is a political commentary done in an op ed style. It was during his research and writing of 1984 Redux that Mr. Curtiss found his calling as a Libertarian leaning American Constitutionalist. 1984 Redux highlights America’s descent into tyranny and the spiral to a police state. In 2011 he published an Amazon Kindle Only work titled “Economic Collapse: The warning signs, impact on America, 42 things you should buy before it’s too late; and how to develop a survival plan”. This work was based on the hypothetical theory of an American Economic collapse, what would likely occur and how to prepare for the worst.Andrew Curtiss went on to write two syndicated columns on Examiner.com The Fort Worth Martial Arts and Libertarian Examiners. He has written for the Counter Terrorist Magazine and is a regular contributor to The Journal of Tactics and Preparedness Magazine. He is a tactical training consultant for the US government and free lance police trainer specializing in firearms, small unit tactics, close quarters combat, combatives and defensive tactics. He also offers civilian seminars in combatives, defensive tactics and the use and application of nerve and vital target attacks on the human anatomy. He is available for speaking engagements and seminars across the globe. We will be discussing Combat Application Techniques, Mixed Martial Arts training, Wrestling, and how to be prepared when an emergency strikes. You can listen live via the following links:Facebook live:YouTube live:Spreaker live:We have over 30 hour of podcast shows, you can listen on a variety of formats.Apple Podcastshttps://podcasts.apple.com/…/coaching-culture…/id1470480333…SpotifyGoogle Podcastshttps://www.google.com/podcasts…Castboxhttps://castbox.fm/channel/id2182350Deezerhttps://www.deezer.com/show/421102Podcast Addicthttps://podplayer.net/?podId=2494949

For the past four years Matthew DiBiase has been expanding the boundaries of sports literature with his ground-breaking works. In 2015 he published his first book Bench Bosses: the NHL’s Coaching Elite, the first ever book of hockey literature that rated and ranked the 50 greatest head coaches in NHL history using a metrical system to analyze coaches. In 2017 he released his second book The Art of the Dealers: the NHL’s Greatest General Managers, the first book in not only hockey literature but sports literature as a whole that rated and ranked the 50 greatest general managers in any of the four major North American sports (baseball, football, basketball, and hockey) using a metrical system of analysis. He continues the trend with this book Lords of the Gridiron: College Football’s Greatest Coaches. This groundbreaking book boldly goes where no other college football book has ever gone before: revealing and ranking the 50 greatest college football coaches of all time using an analytical rating system. This book profiles past college football coaching immortals Bear Bryant, Bud Wilkinson, Joe Paterno, Knute Rockne, and Darrell Royal alongside present day coaching greats Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, and Dabo Swinney.Celebrating 150 years of college football Lords of the Gridiron: College Football’s Greatest Coaches contains memories and insights from college coaching legends Urban Meyer, Tom Osborne, Bobby Bowden, Lou Holtz, Mack Brown, Bob Stoops, Steve Spurrier, Phillip Fulmer, Vince Dooley, and Jim Tressel who discuss their influences, their offensive and defensive tactics, their motivational approaches to coaching and the highlights of their glorious coaching careers.Lords of the Gridiron: College Football’s Greatest Coaches also reveals the tactical innovations created by the coaches featured in this book. The great games in college football history are discussed in detail: the 1957 Oklahoma vs. Notre Dame Game; Nebraska vs. Miami in the 1984 Orange Bowl; and Texas vs. USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl for example. The great players are featured here as well like Jim Thorpe, George Gipp, Herschel Walker, and Peyton Manning for instance.Lords of the Gridiron: College Football’s Greatest Coaches is a must read for all college football fans throughout America because all the great college football programs are celebrated in this book: Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Penn State, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Florida State, and Ohio State to name a few. This book resolves (or renews) the argument about who were the greatest college football coaches of all time. When he is not working for the National Archives at Philadelphia or writing, Matthew loves reading, high-pointing, photography, visiting State and foreign Capitols, travelling, Facebook, and also podcasting every Thursday Night from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST with his colleagues Mike, Sidekick, Brandon, AP, and Chris on the Frathouse Sports Show on www.blogtalkradio.com
