Despite early penalties and a "sloppy" second half, Coach Hughes highlighted the resilience of his notably young squad.Week 1 Victory Breakdown Aerial Attack: Quarterback Isaac Burgos made a splash in his first start under the Friday night lights, throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Welcome back to the Following Films Podcast. I'm your host, and today we are talking about a show that probably sounds like a strange candidate for a modern streaming reboot, until you actually look at how they made it.When Netflix announced a new take on "Little House on the Prairie," a lot of people reasonably expected a soft, nostalgic retread of the 1970s TV series. Instead, the 2026 reboot starring Alice Halsey, Luke Bracey, and Warren Christie dropped last month, and it is a completely different beast. It pulls much closer to the raw, gritty reality of the original books than the old show ever did. It already got picked up for a second season, and a huge reason the series hits the way it does comes down to how it looks.My guest today is cinematographer C. Kim Miles, ASC, CSC, MYSC. He shot four of the eight episodes this season, and he had to deal with absolute chaos to pull it off. We're talking severe prairie weather, tornadoes, ticks, rough terrain, and keeping heavy camera gear moving around actors wearing full period costumes. It was a brutal shoot, but the visuals speak for themselves.If you follow Kim's work, that adapt-and-survive approach shouldn't surprise you. He lensed "The Brothers Sun" for Netflix, shot the Apple TV+ documentary "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie" which earned him an Emmy nomination, and worked on projects like "Yellowjackets," "Lost Ollie," and Robert Zemeckis's "Project Blue Book." Georgia Tech’s all-time leading scorer, Butker tallied 337 points in his career, including 43 field goals and 210 points-after-touchdown, 50 more than Tech’s No. 2 kicker. He still holds the Tech season mark of 65 PATs in 2014. Kenmerken van jazz-rock Jazz-rock ontstond uit een relatief directe combinatie van jazz en rock. Belangrijke kenmerken zijn: Sterke rockritmes en backbeats. Elektrische gitaren met vervorming of effecten. Elektrische keyboards zoals de Fender Rhodes. Lange improvisaties. Complexere harmonie dan in traditionele rock. Een krachtige, soms bijna agressieve energie. Jazz-rock klinkt vaak ruiger en directer dan latere fusion. De invloed van psychedelische rock en progressieve rock is duidelijk hoorbaar. Kenmerken van fusion Fusion is een bredere en veelzijdigere stijl. Naast rockinvloeden zijn vaak ook elementen uit funk, wereldmuziek, soul en elektronische muziek aanwezig. Typische kenmerken: Virtuoos instrumentaal spel. Complexe maatsoorten en ritmische structuren. Sterk uitgewerkte arrangementen. Combinatie van improvisatie en compositie. Gebruik van synthesizers en moderne studio-effecten. Invloeden uit uiteenlopende muziekculturen. Fusion kent daardoor een grote diversiteit. Sommige groepen klinken zeer funky, terwijl andere juist symfonisch, wereldmuzikaal of bijna futuristisch aandoen. Waarom deze stijlen belangrijk zijn Jazz-rock en fusion hebben de jazz geholpen zich aan te passen aan een veranderend muzikaal landschap. Ze maakten de muziek toegankelijk voor rockliefhebbers zonder de improvisatorische rijkdom van jazz op te geven. Veel hedendaagse artiesten bouwen voort op deze traditie. Bands als Snarky Puppy, The Yellowjackets en verschillende moderne jazzgitaristen en toetsenisten ontlenen nog steeds veel aan de fusionpioniers van de jaren zeventig. Smooth Jazz: toegankelijkheid en sfeer Smooth jazz ontstond eind jaren zeventig en begin jaren tachtig en putte deels uit fusion, maar koos een andere richting.
