SEASON 2 EPISODE 14 - COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Jack Smith not only has Trump's Twitter DIRECT MESSAGES, he has Trump's Twitter DELETED Direct Messages, and as we posited here last Thursday, he has Trump's Twitter Unsent Direct Message DRAFTS. Court documents were unsealed revealing all this, but CNN and The New York Times saw the headline - and missed it. The Times wrote almost as an afterthought that the judge had authorized Jack Smith to receive quote “all direct messages sent from, received by or stored in draft form by the account.” I speculated also about THIS last Thursday but I have to say seeing it as a reality takes my breath away. I mean DELETED direct messages are enough to fuel several books of Trump Scandal fan-fiction. But the DRAFTS could be far more nefarious. Drafts could be used – and there is no evidence that this is the case – the way terrorists used to use drafts in email 20 years ago -- as what the spies call a “dead-drop” by which you leave messages for anybody else who had the password, and then the messages are deleted. Except - nothing is ever deleted. No wonder Trump was pissed. Back to Atlanta. Trump will present his irrefutable guaranteed 100 percent exonerating report on Presidential Election Fraud in Georgia, starting at 11 next Monday morning at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey - enter by the main gate, proceed towards the 1st Tee, then make a left at Ivana. Not only don't Republicans WANT him to yoke them with another relitigation on 2020 but he has apparently turned the preparation of this report to the woman who might rank 79th on his propagandist depth chart, Liz Harrington. The creepy one. Fani Willis has punctured not just Trump's reality but also the fantasy around him. And we're going to see how bad it is at that press conference. B-Block (23:18) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: And just like that, Herschel Walker is back in Georgia politics. And Tucker Carlson is finished: his biography TANKED. Wait - you don't know who Tucker Carlson WAS, do you? (26:05) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Elon throttles links to the NYT and Facebook. Suddenly DeSantis wants peace with Disney. And a co-anchor of mine leaves ESPN "so I can exercise my First Amendment rights more freely.” She wouldn't know the difference between the First Amendment and ESPN's First Take. “We are naive if we think that we don't have to fight for [our democracy] every single day,” says Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), in this week's WITHpod. Given how imperiled our democracy is, we thought it would be good to talk about the nation's democratic health with someone who has navigated some of the most difficult terrain in American politics. Sen. Warnock, who defeated Republican challenger Herschel Walker, is the author of numerous books, including his latest titled, “A Way Out of No Way: A Memoir of Truth, Transformation, and the New American Story.” He's also the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. He joins WITHpod to discuss his concerns about the state of our democracy, his efforts to renew the fight for voting rights, the most surprising part of being a U.S. senator, what he thinks the worst part of his job is and more.

The Republican Party's disappointing showing in the midterm elections renewed grumbling that former president Donald Trump was a drag on the party. After all, the GOP might have won back the Senate had it not been for the inept campaigns of Trump-preferred candidates such as Herschel Walker. But Mr. Trump's popularity somehow survived. Eight months later, following his second indictment on felony charges, Mr. Trump seems to be again defying the conventional political wisdom, or what remains of it since 2016. No matter what he does or says or is accused of, polls indicate the former president's popularity among Republicans remains steadfast. In this episode, political journalist Damon Linker of "Notes From the Middleground" on Substack revisits the question of whether Trumpism is on the decline. At this point, the answer is clearly no. Why has Trump succeeded where past right-wing populists like Pat Buchanan or George Wallace failed?

Former NFL player and University of Georgia standout David Pollack joins the show today. As a defensive end at Georgia, David was just the second Bulldog to be named a three-time All-American. Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker was the first. In the 2005 NFL Draft, he was taken 17th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals. His NFL career was cut short, however, after he broke a cervical vertebra in a game versus the Cleveland Browns in 2006. The Bengals announced Pollack's retirement before the 2008 season. Pollack joined ESPN in June 2009 as a college football analyst. He has served as an analyst on the Emmy-Award winning "College Gameday" since 2011. Today on the show, Eric and David discuss the injuries that changed their careers, the lessons they learned from them and much more about David's life journey. EPISODE 207: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: If we do not harden our stances and fight now and convince our less adamantine cohorts to do the same, we are going to lose this democracy. “Should the Democrats hold fast (on the debt ceiling) and not negotiate, or should they negotiate spending constraints with the Republicans,” reads the question in the new Harvard Harris Poll. 82 percent of Republicans say the Democrats should negotiate with Republicans. AND 41 PERCENT OF DEMOCRATS SAY DEMOCRATS SHOULD NEGOTIATE WITH THE REPUBLICANS. Are you KIDDING? Are you INSANE? Are you SUICIDAL? NEGOTIATE. You do not negotiate with terrorists. You metaphorically shoot terrorists in the head. “I'm looking at the 14th Amendment. I think we have the authority. The question is, could it be done in time,” said the President from Hiroshima. “We have not come up with unilateral action that could succeed in a matter of two weeks or three weeks. That's the issue. So it's up to lawmakers.” With respect, Mr. President, it is NOT. Stop caving in to these fascists. They are NOT negotiating. They are NOT operating from any position of good faith or coherent philosophy except to try to destroy the economy and blame you and run against you on it and you have stated as much and you are still standing there with another metaphorical gun pointed against YOUR head hoping that you will find some middle road with the people who have spent the last 30 years dynamiting and jack-hammering all the middle roads. I mean this is so obvious even POLITICO noticed it. POLITICO. Official stenographers of the 17th Century. Its LEAD story summarized where the quote “negotiations” unquote are, how Democrats have already caved and Republicans have gotten more intransigent. And even AXIOS noticed how determined Trump is to be elected Dictator, and how he is openly campaigning on eliminating democracy. We need no more negotiations with Republicans. We need leaders who will fight and defeat them. COMIC RELIEF: The boss of CNN's Chris Licht got one of the great thrills of life: the opportunity to give the commencement address at his alma mater. And he was booed and interrupted throughout by Boston University students angry over his Hollywood Studio's stance in the Writers' Strike. Or maybe they weren't booing and were just chanting "Zaz." Back at the ranch, a Trump social post over the weekend confirms my reporting from last week: that CNN is at minimum discussing a 2nd Trump Town Hall. And Anderson Cooper's viewers have left the silo and his show has now settled into 4th Place behind NewsMax - because obviously CNN is tanking to get the first draft choice. B-Block (20:20) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: It is the greatest bad political soundbite of all time: greater than Herschel Walker's "erection," greater than Adlai Stevenson, greater than Sarah Palin's 117 entries. Also: never endorse somebody you can't be certain won't vote to overturn Roe v Wade later. And the Mississippi school forcing a trans girl to dress as a boy for graduation. (25:46) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Texas book banning affects Texas's poet laureate, Marge Greene denies she's a white supremacist so that must be somebody else's Confederate Flag. And George W. Bush makes a comeback. C-Block (31:00) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: One By One Animal Advocates, a group which has saved about 30,000 animals in West Virginia in a decade, itself needs our rescue help (32:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: As we move towards the two-week mark of the CNN crisis, a look back at the worst management decision in TV history, so bad that after a week they told the poor guy he still had the title but he wasn't permitted to actually DO anything.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Atlanta Braves are gearing up for their home opener in a week, and the team is excited for the upcoming season. Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller is thrilled with the team's performance and expects high attendance this year. The stadium has added new features, including new food and beverage options, and digital systems to speed up food service. Some of the new items include The Cleanup Burger, which has four grilled beef patties topped with golden hash browns, hickory smoked bacon, cheese and a sunny side-up fried egg, served on a fresh buttermilk Belgian waffle with maple syrup Another new item is The Closer, an all-beef hot dog wrapped in mozzarella-whipped potatoes, fried golden brown and served with spicy mayo. Fans can also visit new spaces, such as Blooper's Clubhouse, and explore the Digital Truist Park. The Braves have also welcomed new players, and the team is looking forward to an exciting season ahead. The Atlanta Braves have unveiled their Nike City Connect uniform, which they will debut in their game against the San Diego Padres on April 8. The uniform is a modernized version of the iconic 1974 Braves uniform and pays tribute to the enduring character and legacy of Hank Aaron. The uniform features nods to Aaron's impact on the Braves and baseball, including the "715" graphic on the inside collar and his motto, "Keep Swinging #44," above the jocktag. The Braves will wear the City Connect jerseys every Saturday home game for the remainder of the 2023 season. A portion of the proceeds from the Nike Atlanta Braves City Connect Collection will benefit the Henry Louis Aaron Fund, which supports increasing minority participation in baseball and investing in diverse entrepreneurship. The collection will go on sale to fans April 1st. The Braves Clubhouse store at the Battery will allow A-List members early access at 10:00 AM on Saturday to shop the collection, before opening to the general public at 11. Adventure Outdoors, a popular gun store in Smyrna, and its supporters, including four Republican members of Congress, are criticizing an inspection of the store by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, calling it government overreach. The store's management is concerned about the number of agents, 16, and that they came from out of state. The ATF says the store was randomly selected, and that all federal firearm licensees undergo inspections. The inspection will likely end Thursday or Friday, and the store will not be inspected again for a year or two. Adventure Outdoors has previously been involved in a lawsuit with former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who accused the store of creating a public nuisance with illegal sales of firearms that ended up on the streets of New York. The store is a popular campaign stop for Republicans. Last year, Governor Brian Kemp spoke there, announcing his support for a bill, which eventually became state law, allowing people to carry guns in public without a permit. Also last year, Herschel Walker held a campaign rally at the store with Kemp. In 2021, Donald Trump Jr. spoke there in support of gun rights. On Thursday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is widely speculated to run for president in 2024, will hold an event there. First Baptist Church Marietta has welcomed its new pastor, Brandon Owen, from Nashville, Tennessee. He comes to the church with a diverse background, having previously been a basketball coach and a teacher of Bible classes. Owen's transition from the court to the pulpit made things easier for him and his wife as they juggled busy careers and raising two children. As his first role as lead pastor, he wants First Baptist Marietta to be a good friend to Marietta and for the community to see it as a helpful and thriving church. The church chose Owen because of his relational and diverse approach to people of all ages. A motorcyclist died after crashing into a car while being chased by police in Acworth. The Bartow County Sheriff's Office was pursuing two motorcycles for racing when it requested assistance from the State Patrol. A state trooper responded and the pursuit continued into Cobb, where the motorcycle struck a Honda Accord. The motorcyclist died at the scene while the Honda's passenger was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Acworth police said they were not involved in the pursuit. The identities of the motorcyclist and the Honda driver were not released. A 28-year-old man, Willie Elbert Kidd Jr., has been sentenced to 85 years in prison by a Cobb Superior Court judge for assaulting four women at a staffing agency's office in Marietta. Kidd assaulted the women, including stabbing one with a knife and severely damaging the office, in June 2022. He was found guilty by a Cobb County jury on four counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment, one count of possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, and one count of second-degree criminal damage to property. Kidd was also re-sentenced to 20 years for a probation violation. Welcome to the Barstool crossover episode. Today, we are joined by KFC and almost immediately Rory asks about Barstool politics. The guys discuss signing contracts and being cancel proof (if that's possible). Mal and KFC share how they deal with the haters. Then the guys discuss Stephen A Smith's comments about Rihanna vs. Beyonce and somehow bring up Mal going to the Cosby tour. Do you vote? Better yet, should you vote? We discuss who should be allowed to vote. Incoming bleep spree…which leads in to George Santos and his lies. Staying on politics, Herschel Walker's son is killing it on TikTok. It was only a matter of time before Mal brought up LeBron and Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Shaq gets brought into the conversation, but not for the reasons you'd expect. Finally, we react to a bunch of viral videos and eventually turn KFC's ‘Answer The Internet' segment on himself. We make him answer a bunch of difficult would you rather'cs. Tune in as we discuss all of the above + more!
Trump is struggling. At life. At politics. And, of particular note today, he's struggling IN THE POLLS. Multiple new polls have Trump tanking. And for good reason. He was like poison to every major candidate he endorsed in the mid-terms. He was seen as such a liability to Herschel Walker, HIS HAND PICKED CANDIDATE for Georgia, that in the final days, the Walker campaign basically told him to stay far away. The Trump Organization itself was just convicted of multiple crimes. And it's highly possible that he's going to be charged with multiple crimes himself in the months ahead. But if Trump can't win, I just don't think that Joe Biden is the right candidate to go against someone like Ron DeSantis. Biden can absolutely beat Trump, but I think he would struggle against most other candidates. Which puts a lot of candidates, and the Democratic Party itself, in a very weird position. What should they do? Let me unpack and explain it. This week on the Mark Levin Show, we have an increasing police state problem in our country. President Joe Biden has violated immigration laws, his party intends to pack the courts, and if he gets his way they'll destroy the voting system unless the courts and We The People stop him. Yet all the media can discuss is how dangerous Donald Trump is. This is the dismantling of America. Then, what is populism, and who determines who the majority is? While Marx often discussed 'classes" he never defined them. When it comes to unalienable rights does it matter whether it's populist or not? A jury finds the Trump organization guilty on 17 counts in a tax fraud case in Manhattan. It's clear that a jury of your peers in NYC or DC is hostile to any Trump person or Trump entity. Prosecutors know this, so you can't get a fair trial. Why would the Trump family not pay those taxes but pay all other taxes? Later, outside of Florida and NY House Republicans didn't do well in the midterms because of redistricting. That means Republican establishment and legislatures didn't do their job; it has nothing to do with Trump. The racism against Herschel Walker from those in the media was reprehensible. President Biden just traded the world's foremost terrorist arms dealer for Brittney Griner, a female pro basketball player. Some in the media say she was chosen because choosing otherwise would be viewed as bigotry. Viktor Bout, the merchant of Death as he's known, is now free to work with Putin while a U.S Marine remains behind bars in Russia. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
In today's episode, Andy, Ian & DJ discuss Raphael Warnock winning Georgia's Senate runoff race against Herschel Walker, Elon Musk firing Twitter Lawyer Jim Baker who was involved in censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story, and Sam Bankman-Fried hiring the attorney who defended Ghislaine Maxwell in the Epstein case.
On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, the racism against Herschel Walker from those in the media was reprehensible. The pseudo-conservative media and Mitch McConnell all blamed Donald Trump for Walker's loss just like they blamed the Tea Party a dozen years ago. Establishment Republicans act as if they are one election away from making a huge contribution to the nation if it weren't for conservatives getting in their way. None of that is true. Then, the case from North Carolina currently before the U.S Supreme Court (Moore v. Harper) involves the Constitution being suspended by democrats extra constitutionally changing the voting rules in several states. The U.S Constitution is clear that the electoral process is set by each state's legislature doing it according to their constitution. No state court or governor can supersede the federal constitution. Later, the IRS issued a second warning to American taxpayers receiving more than $600 on PayPal, CashApp, Zelle, and Venmo and requires them to file a 1099 form as independent contractors. This has nothing to do with billionaires and is yet another lie from the Biden Administration; these agents are going after low and middle-income Americans earning $600 or more through any of these apps. Afterward Congressmen Jim Jordan and Kevin McCarthy both join the show to announce the rollback of vaccine mandates in the U.S military. Jordan voiced his support for Kevin McCarthy as Speaker. McCarthy reiterated his commitment to conservatives if elected Speaker. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

I don't know if I'm more glad that we won't have Herschel Walker in the Senate or that we will have Raphael Warnock in power! That's just how bad Herschel Walker was. But I see so many lessons that we can take away from what went down yesterday. The one thing I just can't shake, though, is that without the near-unanimous support of Raphael Warnock, and even of Joe Biden for that matter, Democrats wouldn't have any power at all. Black people are the only ethnic group in America that is expected to have almost 100% support for Democrats. It's literally not that way with any other group in the country. And without that support, Democrats could hardly win a race. Considering that, I am just not convinced that Democrats have an AGENDA that matches the effort of its Black voter base. Let me unpack and explain it. I don't remember a single time Herschel Walker opened up his mouth where he didn't embarrass himself. The man is perpetually humiliating. But today is RUNOFF DAY in Georgia - and if you live there and have not voted yet, please stop EVERYTHING and go vote right now. And if you don't live there, but know ANYBODY who does, please contact them immediately, because this race, in my opinion, is the single most important Senate race of 2022. Today I'm going to unpack and explain why it matters so doggone much. On Friday's Mark Levin Show, House Republicans don't like being called boneheads, but working with Democrats simply to defeat Kevin McCarthy's election as Speaker will effectively give all power to a handful of liberal Republicans and the Democrats that support them. Then, while Americans are facing increased costs for everything, President Biden hosted a state dinner for the French President and served lobster. The same lobster industry which Biden wants to shut down. Later, in a bombshell revelation, Elon Musk released the facts on Twitter's role in blocking the Hunter Biden laptop story, which included blocking the White House Press Secretary's account, and the New York Post. It's also been reported that the FBI was meeting weekly with big tech companies in the weeks prior to the 2020 election and was deleting tweets directly at the request of the Biden Administration which has disproportionate influence inside Twitter. Afterward, with days to go before the Georgia runoff election for the U.S Senate, more information about Raphael Warnock's insidious anti-American past surfaces. Georgians have an opportunity to choose Herschel Walker and hopefully, they take advantage of it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Then, Hershel Walker joins to talk about how winning in the Georgia runout doesn't require finding new voters: It just requires loser fewer voters than the Democrats.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
