When we allow God, our Shepherd, to guide us, we have contentment and refreshment. When we choose to sin, however, we go our own way and cannot blame God for the environment we create for ourselves. Our Shepherd knows the "green pastures" and "quiet waters" that will restore us. We will reach these places only by following him obediently. Rebelling against the Shepherd's leading is actually rebeling against our own best interests. Remember this the next time you are tempted to go your own way rather than the Shepherd's way.

The One Year Devotions For Men ( Page 40 ) 1999, Christian History magazine surveyed its readers and Christian historians.Respondents to the survey were invited to name the five most influential well-knownChristians, By a substantial margin, C.S. Lewis was most often named.Born in Belfast, Ireland, in 1898 to parents who loved books, young "Jack" Lewis became a book lover during childhood, embarked on a scholarly career at Oxford, and became a convinced atheist. Strange beginnings for a man voted the most influential in spiritual growth! In 1929, Lewis discarded his atheism and became a theist-but not happily. He described himself as "a prodigal who is brought in kicking struggling, resentful, and darting his eyes in every direction for a chance of escape."& Jack Lewis was experiencing the love of God drawing him.Two years later, Lewis converted to Christianity. He had been meeting people he admired, only to discover (to his horror) that they were Christians. He had been reading his favorite authors, whom he liked except for their Christianity. But through their influence, his understanding of God grew. He was led to recognize that if God is God, he must be obeyed-not for the sake of reward but simply because he is God. Lewis wrote,"If you ask why we should obey God, in the last resort the answer is, [because God says,]'1 am.'" Lewis insisted that he was no more seeking God than a mouse seeks a cat. But God was seeking him. And he responded, he submitted, and the rest (as they say) is history. We must always remember that the impulse to think about God comes from him, and that the desire to discover truth and beauty and reality is born from him. Jesus said,"People can't come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me" (John 6:44).The Lord said through Isaiah, "People who never before inquired about me are now asking about me. I am being found by people who were not looking for me. To them I have said,'I am here!'" (Isa. 65:1).Through the people Jack Lewis met, the books he read, the beauty he saw on his long country walks, and the longing in his own heart for which he found no satisfaction, Lewis eventually heard the Lord say, "I am here." For years he wasn't looking and listening. But once he did, his life became a vehicle through which the Lord began to speak.Every converted life is supposed to be a pulpit from which the Lord proclaims, clearly, to people who may not be listening, "I am here!" 1. A Visible Testimony – A believer's life should reflect God's character, showing love, patience, kindness, and holiness. When people witness a genuinely transformed life, they see evidence of God's work, even if they are not consciously looking for it. 2. Actions Speak Louder than Words – Sometimes, people may not listen to sermons, read the Bible, or pray, but they will notice how a believer lives. Integrity, joy in suffering, selflessness, and unwavering faith in difficulty can proclaim the reality of God more effectively than words alone. 3. God's Presence in Everyday Life – A Christian does not need a physical pulpit to preach. Every interaction, decision, and relationship is an opportunity to reflect Christ. Whether in the workplace, at home, or in casual conversations, a believer's life should communicate, “God is here, and He changes lives.” 4. A Call to Authenticity – This statement is also a challenge to Christians to live in a way that truly reflects their faith. If someone claims to be changed by God but lives no differently from the world, their “pulpit” sends a confusing message.Ultimately, this idea reinforces that conversion is not just about personal salvation—it is about becoming a vessel through which God reaches others. Every transformed life is an unspoken yet powerful declaration: God is real, He is here, and He is still changing lives today.
Romans 12:2 | be transformed by the renewing of your mind” If you keep feeding your mind junk, it will continue to produce junk. You cannot feed your mind filth and expect a clean life #truth #wisdom #food4soul #podcast
“Not everyone who claims the name of Christ walks in His truth. New believers, stay rooted in God's Word and prayer, and don't be deceived by those who use His name for their own gain. True followers bear the fruit of the Spirit and align their intentions with God's will. Test everything against Scripture, for even wolves can wear sheep's clothing. Stay vigilant, stay discerning, and keep your eyes on Jesus.”
“Don't let pride be your downfall in 2025. Pride can blind us, leading to sin, disobedience, and separation from God. True strength comes from humility—surrendering our need to always be right, proving ourselves, or placing our desires above His will. Choose to die to pride and embrace the freedom found in walking in obedience and faith. Let this be the year we step into God's purpose with humble hearts and unwavering trust in Him.”
We need to start setting up our defenses against lust. We must be discerning so we don't plant another weed of lust which leads to the destruction of our soul There's no such thing as a secret Lust causes us to live a double life. It will really try to assure you that no one will ever know. Lust is conniving and it even says you have covered your tracks. Lust causes us to be secretive and it's the perfect growing material for the weed of lust. Today, you can choose to live lust-free. What choice will you make ? 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV | Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of ChristCommentary from study Bible Paul uses military terminology to describe this warfare against sin and Satan. God must be the commander in chief-even our thoughts must be submitted to his control if we want to survive the spiritual warfare all around us. Spirit-empowered believers must capture every thought and vield it to Christ. When exposed to ideas or opportunities that might lead to wrong desires or harmful beliefs, we have a choice: We can recognize the danger and turn away, or we can allow unhealthy thoughts to take us captive. We capture our fantasies and desires when we honestly admit them to the Lord and ask him to redirect our thinking. Ask God to give you the discernment to keep your thoughts focused on his truth.
Proverbs 29:18 NIV | Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraints, but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction. Commentary from study Bible | "Revelation" refers to words from God received by prophets. Where there is ignorance or rejection of God, crime and sin run wild.Public morality depends on knowing God, but it also depends on keeping God's laws. In order for both nations and individuals to function well, people must know God's ways and keep his rules. Having God's Word means little if you are not obeying it.

Rom 1:21-32 Paul clearly portrays the I inevitable downward spiral into sin. First, people reject God; next, they make up their own ideas of what a god should be and do; then they fall into every kind of wickedness: greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, decep-tion, malicious behavior, and gossip. Finally, they grow to hate God and encourage others to do so. God does not cause this steady progression toward evil. Rather, when people reject him, he allows them to live as they *choose. God gives them over to or permits them to experience the natural consequences of their sin. Once caught in the downward spiral, they cannot pull themselves out. Sinners must trust Christ alone to deliver them from destruction.
God's succes is doing the will of God | according to the ways of God | in the timing of God | for the Glory of God. |||| Man's sucesss is based on materialism, vanity and pride. House, car, clothes, a lot of money in the bank, etc….

Matthew 7:21 — 7:23 || I Never Knew You 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me,
(2 Timothy 3) But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. ||||| (Romans 1) Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
How would you define success? Success looks different to everyone. What's your own version of sucess — not what society tells you what sucesss is?

Proverbs 13:19 | Whether a "longing fulfilled" is good or bad depends on the nature of the dream or desire. It is pleasant to achieve worthwhile goals, but not all goals are worth pursuing to the end. When you set your heart on something, you may lose your ability to assess it objectively. With your desire blinding your judgment, you may proceed with an unwise relationship, a wasteful purchase, or a poorly conceived plan. Faithfulness is a virtue, but stubbornness is not. Screen your dreams and desires and allow the Holy Spirit to help you discern what is right before you carry out your plans.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
