Send us a textAre the people, habits, and perspectives in your life fueling your flourishing—or quietly draining it? In this candid conversation, Ruth and Tom unpack a deceptively simple filter that can transform every choice: beneficial vs. detrimental. From there, they reveal the Five P's that either propel us toward thriving or pull us back into mere survival:People – Why the company you keep (including you) shapes every other dimension of health.Purpose – How clarifying “why I'm here” guards you from living everyone else's agenda.Perspective – Expanding (or shrinking) your worldview and its ripple effects on resilience.Perception – The sensory lens—SOS, anyone?—that colors your emotions and decisions.Passion – Turning reclaimed energy into a laser-focused, life-giving drive. You'll hear practical exercises—like the “People List” audit—to diagnose hidden drains, plus stories of extrovert overwhelm, introvert isolation, and the surprising boost of cross-cultural friendships. Whether you're recalibrating mid-year goals or just feeling “funky,” this episode hands you a roadmap to evaluate every input through a wellness lens.Listen in and learn how to trade survival mode for sustainable, whole-person thriving—one beneficial choice at a time.Support the showThanks for listening! You can follow us onFacebook Instagram Leave us a review on Apple Podcasts Check out the Autonomic Healing Website & InnerWorkings WebsiteEmail Tom thomasjpals@innerworkings.orgEmail Ruth ruth@bridgeandrhino.comSupport usWe appreciate you!

Believe it or not, communication is about far more than just the words one speaks. This week's guest on The Unbeatable Mind, communication expert Michael Hoeppner, argues that much like dance or martial arts, communication is a full-body act. As a world-recognized expert on public speaking, Michael, along with Mark, sheds light on the Navy SEALS' powerful spirit shout “Hoo Ya”, and how it embodies the physical essence of communication. Together they explore the intricacies of vocal variety, focusing on the significance of pace, pitch, pause, power, and placement, in the delivery of dynamic speech. Michael digs into practical exercises one can use to overcome some common pitfalls in effective communication. He details how these exercises can transform one's communication skills to ensure that their messages will be impactful and memorable. Lastly, he and Mark touch upon the art of storytelling and the use of poetic devices in crafting narratives that stick with those that listen. Whether speaking in front of the public, or catching up with an old friend, Michael invites listeners to join him on the journey towards becoming a compelling communicator. Key Topics Include: Communication as a Physical Act: Listen to Michael explain how communication is embodied physically—-it's more than just the words you speak, more akin to yoga or dance. Eliminating “Um's”: Explore the various exercises Michael presents to eliminate what he calls “filler words”, and choose what you say with precision. The “Five P's” of Vocal Variety: Discover how the voice is much like an instrument in how it implements pace, pitch, pause, placement, and power. Mastering these “Five P's” can radically transform how your message is received. Leveraging Poetic Devices: Learn how to harness techniques from the art of storytelling in order to enhance the power of your message. In this Throwback Thursday episode of Mindset Matters hosted by Patrick Francey and Steffany-Hanlen Francey, the couple dives into the foundational principles of motivation, using what they call "The Five P's" framework. This episode centers on exploring what drives human performance and motivation. Patrick and Steffany begin by explaining how people are motivated in different ways, whether by impact, challenge, or purpose. Steffany reflects on her work with athletes at the Ice Academy in Montreal, where she participated in a workshop about motivation. They discuss how understanding what motivates an individual can help coaches unlock higher performance, and they highlight that everyone is driven by different factors. The core of the episode revolves around the "Five P's": People, Purpose, Pursuit, Pressure, and Profit. The couple discusses how some people are motivated by social interactions (People), others by a sense of higher calling (Purpose), some by competition and achievement (Pursuit), while others thrive under deadlines or high-stakes situations (Pressure). Finally, they emphasize that passion, or love for what one does, can tie all these motivational drivers together. Profit, while important, should not be the only driver, as fulfillment often comes from aligning passion with purpose. Throughout the conversation, Patrick and Steffany examine how they personally relate to these motivators, offering insights from both their own lives and the lives of the people they coach. They also touch on the importance of understanding one's motivations to create a fulfilling and successful life, whether in personal relationships, professional goals, or personal development. The episode encourages listeners to reflect on what drives them and offers practical tools for creating environments where they can thrive, no matter what their primary motivator might be.

The second episode of our new specialist series, Explore: How To Plan An Expedition, focuses on The Five P's - Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance. In this episode, Matt speaks with Nigel Winser, Felicity Aston, and Stephen Jones about the importance of proper planning. The vast majority of the time, expeditions are won or lost in the planning stage, and often, the moment you step into the field isn't the start of your expedition, it's half way. Matt, Nigel, Felicity and Steve discuss common pitfalls in planning, methods of team selection, and advice and resources out there.Nigel Winser needs little introduction; his career directing interdisciplinary research and learning programmes in Africa, the Middle East and Asia spans decades. He was Deputy Director of the RGS, responsible for developing and managing 11 major field programmes, and Executive Director at Earthwatch leading its ‘citizen science' programmes to support conservation and sustainable development priorities worldwide.Felicity Aston MBE is a British polar explorer, author, speaker and student research scientist. In 2012 she became the first woman to ski alone across Antarctica. Starting out as a Meteorologist with the British Antarctic Survey, Felicity has since been involved in many ground-breaking expeditions. She is currently undertaking research investigating airborne microplastic deposited on Arctic Ocean sea ice. Steve Jones is an Expeditions Manager for Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions. He also works as a speaker, and advises on safety management and crisis management to projects around the world. The 5 P's For Podcast Success My 1st Solo Episode Welcome to a milestone episode, number 200, of our podcast! Today marks my first solo episode, and I'm thrilled to share valuable insights on the five P's for podcast success. But before we dive in, I want to express my deep gratitude to all our listeners. As a token of appreciation, you can send a WhatsApp message to +44 7394 863587 for a chance to get a shout-out on our next episode. Now, let's get into the essence of today's show. This episode is crafted for business owners looking to leverage podcasting as a dynamic tool to boost sales in coaching or consulting. Reflecting on my own journey in podcasting, I recognized the struggles many passionate and skilled coaches faced in translating their expertise into tangible leads and clients. This led me to develop the five P's for podcast success, a strategy to help others achieve the results they desire. The first P, the "Pre Frame," sets the stage for each episode, creating a clear introduction and building anticipation for the content. The second P, the "Promise," involves aligning the podcast's big promise with your signature online program, making it crystal clear to listeners what you offer. The third P, the "Process," allows you to showcase how your approach helps clients achieve specific results. I share our simple process of running implementation days to set up podcasts and automate sales and marketing systems. Moving on to the fourth P, the "Paradigm Shift," this segment addresses internal limiting beliefs that listeners might need to overcome. Sharing personal experiences, such as imposter syndrome, connects with the audience and sets the stage for transformation. Finally, the fifth P, "Proceed," guides listeners on the next logical step after the episode, creating a seamless transition into your sales funnel. The podcast serves as a powerful tool to attract, educate, and inspire potential clients without the fatigue of traditional social media methods. By following this formula, you can move listeners from a state of neutrality to certainty about your solutions. This process runs on autopilot, offering an evergreen and gentle approach to attracting and converting leads. To simplify and expedite this journey, we've developed a streamlined process through implementation days. These days cover everything from podcast design to setting up sales and marketing infrastructure. We even offer to co-host your first episode, ensuring a smooth start. The investment required for this entire system is surprisingly low, with the CRM cost covered for the first month. No contracts bind you, providing flexibility and control over your podcasting journey. If you're ready to take the next step and launch your podcast successfully, visit our website and book a call to explore how the five P's for podcast success can work for you. Join me next week for an exciting episode featuring a guest, where we'll delve into the intriguing topic of frequency and healing. If you want a shout-out on the next episode, send a WhatsApp message to +44 7394 863587 Go to https://podcastprofitsunleashed.com/implementation-day and book a call, and explore how the Five P's for podcast success can work wonders for you.
