In a developmental and attachment based approach to sleep, success is as much about the process as where the process gets us. Outcomes matter, but they have to be understood within the context of your individual baby or toddler's unique needs and capabilities. I share some of my key success points with the families I work with – that sleep is easier, more restful, and that they navigate any changes with connection. I also want them to understand their baby's needs and feel more confident in their responsive approach. Beyond that, it's about taking the next step towards their goals and seeing the big picture.Connect with KimInstagram: instagram.com/intuitive_parenting_dcFacebook:  facebook.com/intuitiveparentingdcLearn more about working with Kim: https://intuitiveparentingdc.com/

In this episode of Thriving in Intersectionality, host Lola Adeyemo welcomes Maryam Habashi, a transformational business development coach with nearly three decades of professional experiences across corporate America, sales leadershiphip roles and entrepreneurship. As the founder of INFUSE system, Maryam specializes in implementing systems that drive measurable growth for top producers, team leaders, and executives across the U.S. and Canada. What You'll Learn in This Episode: How diversity creates competitive advantages in business Strategies for career advancement in male-dominated industries The truth about corporate careers versus entrepreneurship Using behavioral profiling to improve professional relationships The four freedoms that define true success The Power of Intersectionality Born in Tehran, Iran, Maryam brings a unique perspective as a Middle Eastern woman who speaks Farsi and Spanish. She explains how diverse teams reach broader markets and solve problems more effectively. While advocating for inclusive recruiting, she emphasizes the importance of hiring qualified candidates rather than filling quotas. Navigating Career Growth in Corporate America In the male-dominated insurance and investment industry, Maryam made history in her company by age 37 and earned her first million by 42. When facing gender-based obstacles, she focused on measurable performance, letting results speak for themselves. Her philosophy: "I accepted that I might need to work harder... and I deserve it." Understanding Yourself Through Behavioral Profiling As a certified DISC assessment coach, Maryam helps professionals understand their natural tendencies and communication styles. She challenges the golden rule, suggesting instead: "Treat people the way they want to be treated, lead people the way they want to be led." This requires self-awareness and adaptability. Corporate vs. Entrepreneurship: Breaking False Dichotomies Maryam counters the myth that entrepreneurship is superior to corporate employment. "I'm tired of hearing that the corporate world is bad," she states. Drawing from experience in both worlds, she emphasizes finding the environment where you'll personally thrive long-term, whether that's corporate stability or entrepreneurial freedom. How Do you Define Success? Maryam shares the definition of success through four essential freedom lens: Freedom of Time - Managing your schedule while prioritizing health and relationships Freedom of Money - Financial flexibility with uncapped earning potential Freedom of Mission - Pursuing your purpose and utilizing your unique gifts Freedom of Relationship - Working with people you want to serve She emphasizes that these freedoms remain inaccessible to those trapped in a victim mentality or self-doubt. "We're in a country where you could be whatever you are and be amazing at it." IRONMAN Master Coach Matt Dixon concludes a four-part series on winning at triathlon in 2025, emphasizing the importance of defining success, embracing the journey, and adopting a high-flex integration mindset. He highlights key strategies such as choosing races that align with strengths and weaknesses, avoiding common pitfalls like under-fueling and over-reliance on FTP, and prioritizing sleep and consistent strength training. Dixon also shares insights from a Purple Patch athlete, Dave Pray, who emphasizes the broader impact of endurance sports on health and longevity. Dixon explains how Pray and his focus on cycling and participation in the Purple Patch program has fueled his success and performance in triathlon and life. He emphasizes the importance of a high VO2 max for longevity and health, and how his training and social life are intertwined.  Matt Dixon explains the importance of defining success and embracing the journey, emphasizing that athletes should not live to race but live through the process. Matt Dixon advises athletes to choose races that align with their strengths and weaknesses, rather than just selecting races based on location or convenience. He lists 10 common pitfalls that athletes make, starting with the check-the-box mindset and the obsession with outcomes. The Success Complex with author Adrian Kelly- don't let anyone define success for you

Success Made to Last

What is the Success Complex? It is what is stopping you! Listen to author Adrian Kelly talking about time, control and performance psychology.  Adrian's greatest gift to us all is his work as the author of The Success Complex. From his home country of Ireland, he shared the journey that led him to write this transformative book. By trade, Adrian is a lawyer, having spent many years as a criminal defense solicitor. But the financial crash in Ireland in 2010 prompted a deep reevaluation of his life. This reflection led him to pivot from law to renewable energy, where he worked alongside an entrepreneur to develop innovative wind and solar energy products. For nearly a decade, Adrian applied his skills to shaping sustainable solutions, only to discover that his true passion lay elsewhere. He transitioned into government work, helping businesses navigate imports and exports. Yet, it was in coaching—helping entrepreneurs and businesses operate more effectively—that Adrian found his most fulfilling calling. It was through this coaching work that Adrian's curiosity about success deepened. Over the course of four years, he researched and wrote The Success Complex, a book designed to probe the barriers that hold people back from truly achieving success. The title itself—The Success Complex—reflects Adrian's central thesis: success is often a paradox. Like a psychological complex that inhibits action, the pursuit of success can sometimes leave even the most accomplished individuals unfulfilled. “I found, working with many entrepreneurs and business people over a number of years, that even people who were materially successful—successful on the outside—didn't feel successful on the inside. They didn't feel fulfilled,” Adrian explained. “In many cases, these individuals lacked something truly precious: time. Time to spend with family. Time to control their own lives. Often, their businesses ended up owning them rather than the other way around.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/success-made-to-last-legends--4302039/support.

There were no gatherings this Sunday, but here is Adam's message for the new year. How do we define success? Why is it difficult to find a person in the Bible whose "success" looked anything like what we define success as today? Adam discusses how if left to our own devices, we typically attach the idea of our being faithful to God as deserving success or recognition. How might God be inviting us to faithfulness even if the outcomes aren't what we had planned for our lives?

Hey Podsters – You've heard of the 12 days of Christmas, but what about 12 WAYS TO THRIVE in 2025? You're ready for YOUR version of success. Here's the truth: success looks different at every stage of life. What fired you up in your 20s might not cut it now. And let's be real; titles, money, or relationships alone will never feel like “enough.” So, let's break it down and figure out how to make sure you THRIVE in '25 -  and how you'll really know when you've made it. Define Success, Your Way Stop measuring success with other people's rulers. Ask yourself: What does success look like for you right now? Build a Solid Support Crew You need real, strategic support—people who challenge you, guide you, and help you hit those big goals. Vision Board? Try a Vision Sketch Grab paper and sketch out your dream life—down to the details. Bonus: Send me your sketches! Write It Down Thinking isn't enough. Write down what success looks like and repeat it daily. Ditch What Drains YouJoy isn't hiding in your endless to-do list. Tackle the tasks, set up systems, and remove what doesn't serve you. Check-In Rituals Accountability is key. Find a partner or coach to track progress and celebrate wins—no self-judgment allowed. Upgrade Your Inner Circle Surround yourself with people who challenge, inspire, and align with your vision. Energy matters. Know Your Values Your values are your North Star. Get clear, write them down, and live them. Cut the Toxic Ties You can't thrive with toxic people in your life. Make the hard choices. Create a Joy List Schedule joy like you schedule work. Prioritize what makes you happy. Forgive (And Let Go)Forgiveness is for YOU. Release the energy they take but stay in control of who stays in your life. Grow Your Network Find people who inspire you to level up, challenge you, and align with your values. Time to make it happen, Podsters.  Your best life is waiting, and it won't create itself! When you think of abundance, do you think of having more—more money, more success, more stuff? What if true abundance isn't just about accumulation, but about appreciation? In this episode, Nicole Kalil is joined by Cathy Heller—transformational coach, spiritual guide, meditation teacher, and host of the Abundant Ever After podcast—to challenge everything we think we know about living a full and prosperous life. Cathy's new book, Abundant Ever After: Tools for Creating a Life of Prosperity and Ease, invites us to shift our mindset, tap into the flow of prosperity, and welcome abundance into every aspect of our lives. Together, Cathy and Nicole explore how abundance is something we tune into, not something we chase, and how trusting in your inherent enoughness can unlock joy and ease in ways you never imagined. So let's TUNE IN. Tune in to the limitless possibilities, to receive what's there for you, tune in to the trust that lies within. Trust that you are already enough and create a life that feels full—not just because of what's in it, but because of who you are in it. Launching a book as an indie author often feels like a make-or-break moment, but there are different approaches depending on your goals, bandwidth, and long-term strategy. Some writers follow an aggressive, high-frequency launch schedule, while others treat their book launches as supplementary to their overall income. The key is finding a method that aligns with your energy and business model.* Adjust Your Launch Expectations: Not every book launch has to be a major event. If your primary income comes from other sources (like conferences or other books), consider treating your launch as a “nice-to-have” instead of an all-out campaign. Sometimes, letting the books exist quietly can still provide steady, passive income without the stress.* Choose the Right Marketing Model: High-output authors often use the “algorithm bump” strategy—constantly launching to stay in Amazon's favor. If you don't want to be on the treadmill of endless launches, explore wide distribution strategies. Focus on building a backlist and strategically using promos for sustained sales over time.* Define Success for You: Every writer's path is different. For some, success may mean hitting Amazon's bestseller list; for others, it could be building a loyal fanbase. Reflect on what “winning” means to you and focus your energy on that goal. Whether it's maximizing passive income or scaling up to bigger projects, clarity will guide your efforts.* Leverage Your Strengths: Think about your personal strengths. Are you a “desert” writer who can churn out books quickly, or are you more of a networker who thrives on partnerships? Aligning your launch and marketing plans with your natural inclinations can help avoid burnout and increase your enjoyment of the process.* Diversify Your Offerings: Beyond books, consider expanding into different formats like comics, podcasts, or foreign translations. Offering different types of content can reach new audiences and breathe life into older works, especially if you have strong brand identity and reader loyalty.Final Thoughts:Launching books successfully isn't about following a single path—it's about finding what works for you and your goals. Whether you're aiming to hit bestseller lists or just maintaining a steady flow of passive income, aligning your launch strategy with your energy and strengths is key. This is a public episode.
