so many games... so little time
Jason (and family) are Spooktubers, Geoff's kicking innocent creatures, and we've all feeling Doom, but no gloom. (Apologies for any issues with a/v quality and sync issues--we had to recover the recording from internet backups which were not in great shape)
Travis is back on the show and what's not to love about a good shield bash, am I right? Jason rolled credits on Clair Obscur and Chris got the platinum for it. Then we refresh ourselves with a new coat of paint on Onimusha 2.
Geoff and Jason want to go back to the Dark Ages and know a guy... a Doom Guy. All of them have officially lost their damn minds about Clair Obscur. Jason forgot it wasn't Friday and also that he played Capcom Fighting Collection 2.
Geoff finished up Clair Obscur and jumped right back in, Chris is closing in, but doesn't want it to end. Jason didn't play it this week, but played a beat 'em up instead... typical. We also draw the winner of our Clair Obscur giveaway!
The guys are back and are talking shop. Chris got a new controller, Clair Obscur is dominating our free time, and we've got a game giveaway! Tune in for details!
Just Geoff and Chris this week as they discuss more South of Midnight, Assassin's Creed, Cyberpunk, and they discuss another revisit coming up. In news... high prices suck.
The whole crew goes on an Expedition, Jason has a new listening device, Geoff goes back 20 years, and Chris dances with the shadows once more.
We take a trip down to the Deep South, finish up Shadows, and share a whole ton of your thoughts on the Switch 2.
The whole crew is now slashing away at Shadows and Split Fiction. Of course, more Monster Hunter. And does Jason have a new obsession that he gets into for a week or so?
This week, the crew have ninjas and novels to contend with. The ninjas are in the novel, well, cyber ninjas. There's regular ninjas too, but not in the novel. Ninjas!
Jason's on the hunt for the end game, we get Chris' side of the story, and Geoff fell down a hole (that Jason pushed him in).
Geoff sets the story straight and Jason and Chris use all the parts of the animal.
Geoff calls Jason out on his bullshit about Avowed, Jason gets Furious, and Chris is sneaking around like in the movies. We've also got a little news, an unexpected phone call, and our thoughts on the State of Play.
Let's do one more for '24. What did the InDudes pick for their Game of the Year?
In 3... 2... Geoff beat the real enemy in Ninja Gaiden... the camera , Jason gets a big head, and now Chris is all-powerful in Dragon Age. We've also got some news discussion and we tabulate YOUR GOTY of 2024 using Science and a little bit of love.
The road to 1000 begins... now. Geoff's black, blue, and red all over. Jason spends five minutes in heaven. And Chris brandishes the blade. All this and more. Tune in!
It only took like 17 years, but we finally hit episode 500! That's a long time and a lotta episodes. In this one, Geoff enters the fog in Silent Hill 2, Jason's playing a Metroidvania with guns. and Chris finds himself back in Beat Saber. Also, our backlogs for the year. And lots of listener feedback. Whether you're new or been here since day one, thanks for joining us for Episode 500!
We're down a couple guys, but Glenn comes in all clutch-like. Jason's guilty of existing, Glenn's working on his backlog, and Chris is chuckin' shields all over the place.
We've been distracted by video games and video game adjacent things. But mostly video games. Jason talks Nine Sols (is it a Jason Game?), Geoff has been messing around in the cloud, and Chris beat a backlog game!
Geoff, Glenn, and Chris are on the show today discussing their distractions, their memorable moments of the game awards, as well as another announcement hypemeter.
The gang find themselves discussing life (and its strangeness), Levels of RAD, and collecting old Saturn games.
Chris ain't afraid of no ghost, Geoff is really enjoying Dragon Age, and Jason tries out a few recent remasters.
Geoff beat Metaphor... BUT AT WHAT COST?!? Chris is still plugging along as well. And Jason has Show and Tell!
And we're back! Jason and Chris have been spending some time taming the wilds in Monster Hunter, Geoff is still on that Metaphor grind, and we add another Jason Game to The List of Jason Games.
Jason wades into the deep end of Steam Next Fest demos, Geoff and Chris are still making Metaphor happen. The Xbox Partner Showcase happened and we've got out impressions on what's to come. All this and we announce our next Question of the Week! Show Notes: 00:00 - Start 02:31 - Jason (Steam Demos, Retro Halloween Game) 15:51 - Geoff (Metaphor, Darksiders 2) 21:57 - Chris (Metaphor, Zelda) 45:38 - Xbox Partner Showcase Discussion 56:55 - QOTW Announcement 58:58 - Sign-Off
We're all playing (and loving) Metaphor so far, but will we stick with it? Geoff unleashes his spirit animal with the Diablo expansion, and Jason breezes through the demo for a highly anticipated game. Show Notes: 00:00 - Start 01:04 - Jason 02:38 - Geoff 10:10 - Chris 14:24 - Metaphor: ReFantazio 31:33 - Diablo Expansion 35:13 - Windblown Demo 39:59 - Zelda 40:31 - Halo News 43:40 - Red Dead Redemption Re-Release 49:52 - Nintendo Alarm Clock 59:29 - See Ya
Jason (kind of) conquers his anxiety and plays SF6 online (kind of), Geoff finished the Starfield DLC, and Chris is still playing the new Zelda. We've also got some listener questions to get to--there's some good discussion!
Geoff talks a bit about the latest Starfield DLC: Shattered Space. Jason played that Karate Kid beat 'em-up. And Chris talks about his time with the demo for Metaphor ReFantazio as well as The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
Greetings! Fun show ahead filled with games, news and more! Hope you enjoy and have a great day!
