Also: Kopfhörer auf, Zeitmaschine starten – Remix läuft!
For the first time ever on the podcast we're discussing some studio closures and the tenuous position that XBox is in. Tommy's having a great time proving that he's one of the dumbest people on Earth by purchasing the Virtual Boy and Ben''s been having a spookily good time with Reanimal!

In this episode of our weekly gaming podcast, Game Informer's Kyle Hilliard reviews God of War: Sons of Sparta, a new 2D metroidvania that Mega Cat Studios and Sony Santa Monica released during last week's PlayStation State of Play. Unfortunately, it's an underwhelming title. Kyle then explains why he spent $99 USD on Nintendo's Virtual Boy rerelease and what it's like experiencing the headset's strange catalog of games on the Switch 2.Later in the show, Eric Van Allen dives into Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse, a mystery adventure about a cursed Japanese seaside town that has impressed him. Finally, Alex Van Aken shares his thoughts on the rock-climbing simulator Cairn and how it's an excellent example of how games can uniquely tell stories. The Game Informer Show is a weekly podcast covering the video game industry. This game's pretty sick.If you haven't played it, it's a standard sidescrolling shooter/platformer, but with one catch: no jumping. All your platforming is done with a grappling hook. It's a really ambitious concept with a learning curve to be sure, but for the most part I think it works great. Add in a map to explore, a story (kinda) and hitler's exploding head (seriously), and you have yourself a Commando that's Bionic, my friend. My buddy David Rae makes his return to the show this week and we're finally talking the game he's been holding me to play since RTG started. We're getting into the map, the difficulty, the grappling hook adventures, and yes of course, killing Hitler. All par for the course when it comes to the NES.And before we grapple I deliver another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if RTG will ever join the video podcast ranks? What forgotten series needs a revival next? And am I planning to check out the Virtual Boy games on the Switch 2??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 NES Capcom games: Mighty Final Fight, Code Name: Viper, and Yo! Noid.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
