I often asked myself, "Why isn't financial literacy taught in school?" So many adults today are going through stress and anxiety because of the mistakes that have been in their use of money. So, in today's episode, in hopes to be the change, we will be discussing "financial literacy". This is one of the most important skills to learn because it helps create a great foundation for today's generation. Growing up in Uganda, my mother once bought me and my sister a wooden box. This was our very first savings box where each day we learnt just how a few coins could turn into something more. Later on in life, I released that not every youth gets the opportunity to learn about savings or even about anything involving money management in their childhood. I have also gotten to learn that there is so much more to money management than we think. Today, if you're a youth struggling to pay off your student loans or if you need some money management tips, I highly recommend that you listen to this episode. Grab a notebook as well, and take some notes on how you are going to get better and grow in your money management journey in the new year. Disclaimer: If you are dealing with depression or anxiety, please seek help from a counsellor. Everyone has different struggles, and professional service can go a long way in helping you start your healing journey. This episode can help encourage you but it is not meant to be the only source of help. Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety. Faith is an essential element of prevailing prayer. “He that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” “If we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” Hebrews 11:6; 1 John 5:14, 15. With the persevering faith of Jacob, with the unyielding persistence of Elijah, we may present our petitions to the Father, claiming all that He has promised. The honor of His throne is staked for the fulfillment of His word.—(Prophets and Kings, 157, 158.) Pr 79.3 Often times it's easy to make our prayers so formal that we forget to be vulnerable on our knees. Christ asks us to talk to Him as a friend and there on our knees pour out to Him. There was a study that was made on the price of two products. They put one for a very high price and the other for a very low price. People came in to look at what product to buy and they made their choice. Can you guess which one they choose? If you guessed the expensive one, you're right. Even though most of the people came to buy the cheaper ones, they left with the most expensive ones. This is because of the STANDARDS that it held. You and I are called to be intentional of the standards that we hold. The way we dress, the way we speak, the things we feed our mind and body with. We are called in the Bible to not be fashioned by the world. In today's age and time, it's so easy to be changed by the world. You may ask what I'm I supposed to do about it then? Firstly, think about where you are spending most of your time, is it adding value to your life? , is it benefiting you? and most importantly, are you spending quality time at the feet of Jesus? YES, spending time in devotions is part of setting standards. If you want to know about that and ways to set your standards, listen to this Episode of It is well podcast. Hello, everyone. The Bible tells us that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit and shows us how man is fearfully and wonderfully made. Today, many don't take heed to this and they dishonor the vessels that God created for His glory. Many times these bad times and practices lead to all sorts of diseases. As a result, we run to our doctor for healing or minister for prayer. Unless these bad habits are reversed, the disease won't be conquered. In our presentation, we will answer questions such as, Is God really concerned about my health?, Would I lose my salvation if I disregard God's health principles?. May God impress your heart as you behold wonderful things from His word.
