Staying open minded and in a constant state of discovery to be exposed to different ways of thinking, lifestyles, and the journeys that people take on the path to their good life is so important to me. It's conversations like these that help me re-solidify the importance of protecting my mind and input so that I can maintain a positive and accountable mindset. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to connect and have a conversation with Claire Brown. Claire and I are both parents, entrepreneurs, and real estate business professionals. One thing I can not relate to Claire on, is being a single mother and living with all of the overwhelming challenges of responsibility, fear, and shame. Despite life's obstacles, today Claire is achieving balance and success in her personal and work life. Claire share's with me her story on overcoming heartbreak, fear, and shame after her divorce, and how she's been able to gain flexibility, freedom, and confidence in her life since then. Claire has now been working and succeeding in real estate with Keller Williams for 6 years, started a podcast, has written a book, has been a real estate and business coach, and has created a Power Women community for single mothers and women to connect, learn, and grow together. I am truly wowed and motivated by Claire's story, mindset, and achievements. It is my hope that you too can be inspired, take on new insights, and learn from her journey. Claire also shares with me more about her background, her journey to where she's at today, and her successes. We break down her book, “Ring or Fling: The Power Woman's Guide to Self-Discovery, Setting Standards, and Dating with Confidence”, as well as the “Power Women” Facebook community that she created as a safe place for single mothers and women to have a voice and support, while learning and growing from each other. We discuss how Claire manages the mindset that's required to be a “power woman”. Claire shares with me some tips on how to overcome the overwhelming feeling of being smothered by obligation and responsibility to become more flexible, and establish more freedom to succeed at a high level. We also cover overcoming your past experiences and fears, being vulnerable, and living from our authentic selves. Claire is truly inspiring. She's a woman who is succeeding and winning in motherhood, her personal life, and her business, despite having a full time partner. I believe other women can gain clarity and establish new found inspiration on overcoming their own obstacles, shame and fear, to ultimately find their voice and purpose in life after listening to our conversation. Creating healthy boundaries with yourself - whether it’s while using an app, in relationships or in everyday life - is essential to knowing the value you carry. You’ll hear some pretty great insight from our friends, Rachel and Caitlin, who have been digging their way through the profiles online dating has to offer for a little while now and have learned a thing or two - or seven. How do you build a profile that hits right? What are the red flags to avoid in your own profile and in the profiles of others? When do you know it’s okay to meet? How do you stay safe? And, sprinkled throughout it all - we’ll hear the good stuff...and by good stuff I mean the terrible dates they had to sit through, obviously. Getting to hear from two successful, healthy, ridiculously fun women and their approach to this world I don’t understand - well, it’s a ride. I’m so excited to introduce you to Your Health is Non-Negotiable Podcast. This is now the Episode # 2 of my brand new series, which I hope to bring to you everyday at 11:00 AM EST live on my Facebook Page.In these motivational moments, it's my goal and my passion to help you make your life and your health nonnegotiable. No matter what is happening in your life, you need to protect yourself. You need to love yourself. In this episode, I would like to talk about Setting Standards that are going to last a lifetime. And it's really important that your standards come from a place of education. It's really the foundation of what the 6 Week Transformation Program is really built upon because so many people, so many of us women have been following fitness plans. Whether it is traditional plans or trendy diets for a certain amount of time. But, we tend to listen to what worked for somebody else. And of course we stay very focused on following the instructions very closely for X amount of weeks. And then, once that challenge or program is over, all of a sudden we stop following the directions of what someone else gave you.And what I love to do in my program is to help you set your own standards that is built on education that focuses heavily on helping you understand:How your body works. How to fuel it.How to move it properly. Then, you can start setting your standards based on something that you believe in. And when you believe it by heart, and when you know it in your mind, you're more likely to follow something based on what's important to you versus what someone is telling you to do. So it's important that you start to create ideas. That's something you know and you believe in. The best way that I can give you an example of this is: You could have decided that it's a good idea not to Rob a bank. If I told you tomorrow you could go to ABC bank on the corner of the street and if you rub it, you will get $100,000. Although the idea of $100,000 sounds pretty darn awesome, the consequence of robbing that bank is far greater than the money, right? Nobody wants to get caught by the police. Nobody wants to be thrown in jail. And at some point you've said that the consequence of going to jail is far outweighs the wants and needs for that hundred thousand dollars. You can be starving, but you're still not going to go and Rob that bank. You're going to find other ways, right? When it comes to your food and your fitness, I like you to try and make that mindset shift. When you start making decisions based on what are the chemicals or lack thereof that you're going to put into your body, you want to understand what would be the consequences because it far outweighs weight loss. The point is not just that, because weight loss is just a side effect of what we receive in this program. We want to focus on healing the body from the inside. We would like to learn the consequences and understand:How some food damages our body. How it can disrupt our entire endocrine system. How it can really, really play with our mental cognition,How does it affect the overall functions of the body. It's not a situation of saying, “Oh, I'm going to gain 10 pounds now if I eat those Doritos. ”No, it's understanding all of the chemical, dyes, MSG, and what they are doing to my brain and how it affects the functions of my body.Or, all of a sudden the idea of eating Doritos anymore is not an option. It's not a matter of seeing something like I don't want to or I’m not allowed Doritos. And then the first thing I do when I’m off the program is run to the store and buy a bag of Doritos. But at some point, when I made a conscious decision that I like, and refuses to put that in my bo
