We all have our own plans for how things should go, but God's plan is always better than anything we could have asked for. Shannon experienced this in her own life after becoming a missionary. When reaching out to a student, she repeatedly was ghosted, nothing was going as planned, until a divine encounter with one of the girls that was in her bible study, eventually got her student to join. From there, a life was changed, a family was converted, and a full circle moment came to fruition that only God could have planned.

What do you do when you watch God answer someone else's prayer while you're still waiting on yours?Acts 12 gives us one of the hardest pictures of faith in Scripture. Peter is miraculously rescued from prison—but just before that, James is killed. Why did God rescue Peter but not James? In this message, Pastor Bobby Chandler tackles the difficult question: Is God still good when He doesn't do what we prayed for? We'll discover that God's goodness isn't measured by our circumstances or outcomes. God sees the entire story when we can only see the chapter we're living in.You'll also learn how to break toxic patterns that have been passed down through generations, stop living for people's approval, and trust God even when you don't understand what He's doing.God is still good—even when you don't understand. The sermon emphasizes that God's goodness isn't determined by circumstances but by His character, and later explains that we judge God from our current “chapter” while He sees the entire story.GIVING To support this ministry and help us continue to reach people all around the world click here: https://authenticchurch.com/give GET CONNECTED Ready to check out Authentic Church in person? Send us Fan MailWhat does real humility look like in the life of a Christian man, especially when he has experienced success, influence, leadership, or recognition?Pete Alwinson and Jayson Quiñones continue their conversation with Dr. David Uth, Senior Pastor of First Orlando, about servant leadership, letting go of the past, and continuing to pursue what God has for you in every season of life.David shares practical ways he has learned to practice humility, including entering a room without needing to be the most important person, listening to the stories of others, celebrating other people's victories, and learning to lead without needing recognition. The conversation also explores the temptation for Christian leaders to build their own brands rather than point people toward Jesus. The discussion then turns to Paul's words in Philippians 3 and the Greek word dioko, the call to press on. Whether your past is filled with failures or accomplishments, you cannot live there. God still has work for you to do. David shares how surviving a serious health crisis changed his perspective and why he deliberately rides his bicycle past the place where he once collapsed as a reminder of God's grace. For men who wonder whether their best years are behind them, this conversation offers a powerful reminder: you are not out of the fight. Your position may change, your abilities may change, and your season may change, but God is still at work. Press on. Live your legacy today.

Paul knew what it was to be harmed by one person and abandoned by people he trusted. He did not pretend the hurt was small. He named what happened, left justice with God, kept a wise boundary, and prayed for those who failed to stand beside him.   In Week 2 of Getting Over It, Rich walks through Paul's response in 2 Timothy 4 and the assurance underneath it: “The Lord stood with me and gave me strength.” This is an honest conversation about resentment, prayer, boundaries, and learning to trust God's presence when people have let us down.   Speaker: Rich Greene Series: Getting Over It, Week 2 Date: August 9, 2026 Scripture: Ephesians 4:26-32; 2 Timothy 4:14-18; Luke 6:27-28; Proverbs 19:11   Next steps, prayer, and connection: https://bit.ly/m/lifechurchia Website: https://www.lifechurchnow.org/ Give: https://www.lifechurchnow.org/give

Acts 9 begins with one of the greatest miracles in Scripture, the conversion of Saul, and then turns to Peter, through whom God performs two extraordinary miracles: the healing of a paralysed man and the raising of a woman from the dead. What a powerful Gospel we have! It is the Gospel that not only saves souls but also demonstrates the living power of Jesus Christ. My desire is to live and minister as the early disciples did. Their example is not simply part of history; it is a pattern for how believers should live today: walking in obedience to Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and expecting God to work through them for His glory. One of the most important aspects of my ministry is that I not only preach the Gospel, but I also pray for the sick in the name of Jesus and have seen Him perform miracles. I cannot heal anyone, Jesus alone is the Healer. I am simply called to obey Him, to pray in faith, and to leave the results in His hands. If you are a believer, you too are called to be a witness, just as Peter, John, and the other disciples were. As Acts 10:39 reminds us, we are witnesses to what Jesus has done. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God still transforms lives today, and He invites every believer to testify to His saving grace and His mighty power.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, we continue our tour through Psalms 73–80, where the psalmists wrestle with one of life's hardest questions: Why do the wicked seem to prosper while God's people suffer? Again and again, these psalms remind us to shift our perspective and remember one unchanging truth—God is still King.We begin with Psalm 73, where the psalmist honestly struggles with envy and discouragement before declaring, "But God..." We explore how God's presence becomes our true strength and examine connections between this psalm and the New Testament, including Jesus' words about the "pure in heart" and Paul's language of those who were once "far off" but have been brought near.As we move through Psalms 74–76, we see God revealed as the righteous Judge of both Israel and the nations. Though evil may seem to triumph for a season, these psalms proclaim that God will judge wickedness, remain faithful to His covenant, and ultimately receive worship from all peoples. Along the way, we notice recurring images of shepherds and sheep, reminding us that God continually cares for and leads His people.Psalms 77–80 repeatedly look back to Israel's history, especially the Exodus, to remind God's people of His faithfulness in the past. Even in seasons of doubt, when it feels as though God has forgotten His chesed—His steadfast covenant love—the psalmists choose to remember His mighty acts. We also discover why knowing the stories of Genesis through Samuel enriches our understanding of these songs, as the psalmists continually draw from Israel's history to strengthen hope in the present. Finally, Psalm 78 challenges every generation to pass on the story of God's faithfulness. Parents are called to teach their children God's works and His instruction so that the next generation will place its hope in Him. The section concludes with Psalm 80, where Israel is pictured as God's carefully tended vine and the people cry out for a faithful leader—a hope that ultimately points us forward to the coming Son of Man.Throughout these psalms, we see a consistent message: when life is confusing and evil seems to prevail, God's people remember who He is, what He has done, and confidently place their hope in the God who remains in control. If you want the FREE hand outs that go along with this series, sign up for our newsletter at our website. Our website is The Context and Color of the BibleWe are on Facebook - The Context and Color of the Bible | FacebookWe are on Instagram - @contextandcolorofthebibleWe are on YouTube - The Context and Color of the Bible - YouTubeMusic: Tabuk by Kevin MacLeod Link: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/4453-tabukLicense: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

In this special Reasoning Through the Bible discussion, we step away from the normal verse-by-verse format for an informal conversation on eschatology and end-times systems. This session compares views such as premillennialism, amillennialism, covenant theology, preterism, and postmillennialism, while asking a central question: Does God still have a future plan for Israel? The discussion focuses on the sequence found in the Old Testament prophets: Israel's sin, God's judgment, the nations gathering against Jerusalem, Israel crying out to the Lord, and God restoring His people. We examine passages and themes from Ezekiel, Zechariah, Joel, Daniel, Romans 11, Acts 1, and Revelation 20, showing why we believe the biblical pattern points to a future restoration of Israel and a future kingdom ruled by Christ.A major emphasis in this episode is that there is only one way of salvation. Israel is not saved apart from Christ. Gentiles are not saved apart from Christ. Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. At the same time, God's national promises to Israel, the Abrahamic covenant, and the future kingdom should not be erased or replaced by the church.Topics in this episode include:eschatology and end timespremillennialismamillennialismcovenant theologypreterismpostmillennialismIsrael and the churchAbrahamic covenantRomans 11 and IsraelEzekiel 36 and restorationZechariah and the pierced MessiahRevelation 20 and the millenniumJesus reigning from Jerusalemone salvation through ChristReasoning Through the Bible is a verse-by-verse Bible teaching ministry committed to careful exposition, biblical context, and faithful application.Support the showThank you for listening!!  Please give us a five-star rating to help your podcast provider's algorithm spread RTTB among their listeners. You can find free study and leader resources at the following link - Resource Page - Reasoning Through the BiblePlease prayerfully consider supporting RTTB to help us to continue providing content and free resources. Daniel 7 is not a gentle passage. It is a storm at sea, a parade of beasts, a boastful horn, and a vision so intense that even Daniel, the man known for calm confidence, admits he is anxious and alarmed. That honesty opens a door for anyone who has ever thought, “I'm not myself right now,” and wondered what faith looks like when your usual steadiness disappears. We walk through the imagery with care, starting with why the “great sea” signals chaos in the biblical imagination and why the beasts feel like jump scares on purpose. We talk about how many interpreters connect the four beasts to real empires like Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece under Alexander the Great, and Rome, and why prophecy is not meant to feed panic but to form resilient hope. Then the camera cuts to the throne room: the Ancient of Days takes His seat, the court sits in judgment, and the books are opened. While the world churns, God is not rattled. Send us Fan MailThe hardest seasons of life can make you wonder if God has gone quiet or if you did something wrong. We go straight at that fear by walking through the Book of Job and the idea of the refiner's fire: what if your suffering is not proof of abandonment, but a setting where God is shaping something holier in you? Job is called “perfect and upright,” yet he still loses nearly everything. That alone dismantles the myth that righteousness guarantees comfort, and it opens a better question: what kind of person can we become when life is stripped down to the bone?We talk about covenant faithfulness that is not transactional, the kind of trust that says, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” We explore why God often gives perspective instead of explanations, how discipleship can require trust before understanding, and how trials can remove pride, control, and self-sufficiency so dependence on Jesus Christ can finally take root. Along the way, we connect Job's journey to modern scripture in the Doctrine and Covenants and to Joseph Smith's experience in Liberty Jail, where suffering is met with eternal perspective rather than instant relief. We also look at why Job powerfully points to Jesus Christ: innocent suffering, rejection, grief, silence, and endurance. Because Christ descended below all things, He understands every form of pain and can sanctify what we cannot fix today. You'll leave with five concrete practices for enduring trials without becoming bitter, staying turned toward God, and anchoring your identity in Christ instead of circumstances. Can someone be too far gone for God to hear their prayer? In this episode of Talk'N Truth, Bryan Clark, Dan Whitney (Larry the Cable Guy), and guest Caleb tackle one of the most hope-filled—and challenging—questions in the Bible.Drawing from the story of King Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33, the conversation explores the life of a man who became one of the most evil rulers in Israel's history. After decades of rebellion, idolatry, violence, and defiance against God, Manasseh finally found himself broken, humbled, and desperate. What happened next reveals something remarkable about the character of God and the power of genuine repentance.Along the way, Bryan unpacks the difference between being sorry and being truly repentant—a distinction that can change everything. Dan and Caleb wrestle with why grace can feel so scandalous, using examples like Jeffrey Dahmer's reported prison conversion to explore why many people struggle with the idea of forgiveness for the worst offenders. The discussion also touches on loneliness, technology, community, and why authentic relationships are essential to spiritual growth. At its heart, this episode is a reminder that God's mercy is greater than our failures. No matter your past, your mistakes, or how far you've wandered, the invitation to come honestly before God remains open. Keywords:Prayer and repentance, God's forgiveness, King Manasseh, 2 Chronicles 33, grace and mercy, Jeffrey Dahmer conversion discussions, Christian discipleship, spiritual growth, overcoming shame, and biblical answers to difficult questions.#BibleStudy #ChristianPodcast #TalkNTruth #LarryTheCableGuy #BryanClark #Caleb #Prayer #Repentance #Grace #Forgiveness #KingManasseh #ChristianLiving

Feeling forgotten can change the way we see everything — especially God.In this message, Pastor Bobby explores the tension of walking through difficult seasons and the reminder that God's faithfulness is deeper than our circumstances. Unanswered prayers, disappointment, loneliness, and pain can slowly convince us that God is distant, but Isaiah 49 paints a different picture — one of a God who sees, remembers, and stays faithful to His people.Through the beauty of biblical poetry and the story of Thomas, Pastor Bobby unpacks what it looks like to trust God in uncertain seasons and hold onto His promises even when life feels heavy.

Send me a Text Message! If our story is hard, is God still in it? That's the question I ask and answer, more than once, in this episode. Throughout Nehemiah's story, the opposition grows. From death threats to picket lines to deception and betrayal, Nehemiah's story gets hard. So what we find is that just because God is writing the story doesn't mean there isn't groaning with the glory. So don't be surprised by opposition to the story God is writing in your life. One of the great mistakes we make, comes when we believe that as long as we know what God wants us to do, the rest is easy. If your story is hard, God is still in it!

We're facing a seven-year drought worse than the dust-bowl days of the Great Depression. Is this related to our embrace of homosexual "marriage" and increased support for abortion? When Trump recently read 2 Chronicles 7, he called Americans to humble themselves before God, that he may heal our land. But will anyone heed this call…including Trump himself? And if judgment begins with the household of God, what does this mean for the church?

The weight you're carrying was never meant to subtract from your life. It's time to understand the difference between caring and carrying. Following Sunday's powerful message “God Still Cares,” House leaders Dr. Sabrina Ellis, Pastor Don Johnson, Elder Anthony Olds, and Dr. Oscar Williams unpack what it truly means to trust God's care in the middle of chaos. This panel tackles the hard questions about finding balance between compassion and overcompensation, understanding God's strategic alignment even when life feels chaotic, and recognizing when the weight of caring has turned into carrying burdens that pull you away from your purpose. You'll discover that God's care isn't conditional on your circumstances — His plans to care for you have always been established. Questions Discussed: • How does “God Still Cares” help us in the middle of chaos? • How do I know when I'm caring versus carrying too much? • How do I stop being over-compassionate? Message: “Walk It Out Wednesday: God Still Cares” Speakers: Dr. Sabrina Ellis, Pastor Don Johnson, Elder Anthony Olds, and Dr. Oscar Williams Date: March 18, 2026 ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don't have to walk this journey alone. Have you ever been so deep in the middle of something that you stopped caring about everything else? In this powerful message, Sarah Jakes Roberts unpacks Mark 8:1-6 to remind us that God still cares — even when we no longer have the capacity to care ourselves. This word encourages us to find a way to care without carrying, by bringing our burdens to the One who never grows weary, never runs out of compassion, and never stops making a way. Whether you're facing correction you mistook for rejection, carrying assignments that were never yours, or waiting for Jesus to pass by instead of pursuing Him, this message is for the moments in life that put a demand on everything you have. Thankfully, God has capacity for everything you're holding. And what He provides? It has distance built into it. Message: “God Still Cares” Scripture: Mark 8:1-6 (NKJV) Speaker: Sarah Jakes Roberts Date: March 15, 2026 ✨ Welcome to Your Moment of Transformation You don't have to walk this journey alone.
