The WIP Morning Team breaks down the usage of AJ Brown last night. Brown had two targets heading into the fourth quarter. He wasn't utilized to his full potential. Devonta Smith was targeted more than AJ, but does that make him elite? The team talks about the conservative play calling, what they think about the decisions and how they feel about what Sirianni said following the game. They talk about how the Eagles were able to pressure Jordan Love, and although the offense struggled, they were able to secure the win. They debate if the offense can do the same thing they did last season and step up in the post season, or if there is reason to be concerned about the future of this offensive play calling. Is it an issue of a new play caller and offensive coordinator? Or is there a deeper issue going on within the team?

Send us a textWe open with the headline everyone's talking about: Saturday Night Live host Sabrina Carpenter dropping not one but two F-bombs during her performance. Was it an accident—or marketing genius? The crew recalls when saying that word on air could end your career (see: Charles Rocket, 1980) and marvels at how little anyone seems to care now. That morphs into a look back at TV's most shocking live moments, including the Bud Dwyer tragedy, and a reminder that some things on television really can't be unseen. From there the discussion shifts to streaming supremacy. The consensus? Apple TV+ might quietly be the new number one. Between prestige hits like The Lost Bus, Shrinking, and Lessons in Chemistry—and now Brad Pitt's F1 racing movie—Apple keeps outclassing competitors while HBO Max raises prices. Still, the question lingers: will F1 actually make Americans care about Formula One racing? Angelo's doubtful, Rhea's open-minded, and Glenn just wants to avoid another algorithm-driven flop.Naturally, that launches a Philly-centric tangent: the upcoming TV series about the making of Rocky that's currently filming around the city. The gang debates whether Sylvester Stallone's absence from the project is a bold move or a missed opportunity. Either way, they agree the story—and the city—deserve another moment in the spotlight.Jay's standing question of the week then takes over: If you could make a “making-of” series about any movie, what would it be? Glenn picks Caddyshack, calling it the most chaotic comedy production ever. Rhea goes with The Birdcage, imagining the behind-the-scenes magic between Robin Williams, Gene Hackman, and Nathan Lane. The group riffs on how both films were equal parts brilliance and madness, the kind of creative chaos that just doesn't exist anymore. Before signing off, everyone shares their weekly watchlist. Rhea recommends Maigret on PBS Masterpiece—a stylish French detective show that's surprisingly addictive. Glenn throws in And Then There Were None on Prime Video, an elegant Agatha Christie mystery, and The Lowdown on Hulu, a gritty noir starring Ethan Hawke. The 94 WIP Morning Show was shocked and reacted in a variety of ways to Dave Dombrowski and Rob Thomson's press conferences that occurred yesterday afternoon. Joe DeCamara and Devan Kaney are ok with what Dombrowski said- they think it is hard to win in the MLB. Jon Ritchie, James Seltzer, and Rhea Hughes were not happy and found the excuses to be exhausting and 'loser-like.' What did you think of their press conferences? Dombrowski surprisingly called out Bryce Harper, questioning if he would ever be elite again, and fired back at Matt Strahm after Strahm's comments about lack of practice after the Orion Kerkering play went awry. Eliot Shorr-Parks joined the show and was upset with Dombrowski, thinking he made too many excuses and is too comfortable being '2nd best.' Eliot is also unsure how the Eagles will play this Sunday citing that they haven't given him a reason to believe they'll win. Coach Dick Vermeil joined the show, but alternatively believes the Eagles will bounce back in Minnesota. Drop of the Week and Time's Yours will give you some laughs!
The 94 WIP Morning Show reacts heavily to Dave Dombrowski and Rob Thomson's post-season press conferences yesterday. Joe DeCamara and Devan Kaney were ok with what they heard. Jon Ritchie, James Seltzer and Rhea Hughes were not. Rhea got 'major loser vibes' from Dave Dombrowski especially. Were you happy with what you heard?

Jon Ritchie, James Seltzer, and Rhea Hughes were felt it was one step short of a disaster and gave off 'major loser vibes.' Everyone felt Rob Thomson connected more with the fans' grief. Will the Phillies bring back Harrison Bader or Nick Castellanos? Jason Kelce, on the show yesterday, says the Eagles should bring Brandon Graham back amid defensive injuries.
Rhea Hughes does not want to hear any lame excuses that Rob Thompson may use during today's end-of-season press conference.

We dissect the flop of Tron: Ares and Leto's mysterious Hollywood staying power. How does he keep getting cast in roles? Rhea explains Leto's insider connections at Disney, while Angelo draws parallels to other once-golden stars such as De Niro and Will Ferrell. We then get into California's ban on overly loud streaming commercials. Is this actually good for advertisers and is there already a way to fix it with your smart TVs? We then have a conversation about bad TV mixing, over-hyped anchors, and SNL's eternally off-balance soundboard. The spouses join in..... with Christina Black and Gal Cataldi giving their takes on their partner's TV habits. Unofficially announced yesterday, Rob Thomson will be back as the Phillies' Manager next season. The 94 WIP Morning Show is lukewarm on the decision- Joe DeCamara, Jon Ritchie, and James Seltzer are ok with it. Rhea Hughes wanted him out. Could there be a big Phillies contract traded- Ruben Amaro Jr. said over the weekend that he thinks so. Who could be it?
The 94 WIP Morning Show aren't excited but aren't furious with the news, from several national sources, that Rob Thomson will be back managing the Phillies next season. Rhea Hughes, doesn't want him back, however. Should he be back? Ruben Amaro Jr, who joins the show, is happy Topper's back, but thinks the Phillies will make a major trade of one of their high-priced players to shake up the team. Ron Jaworski joins the show and believes the Eagles need help on both sides of the ball- the Giants bullied the Eagles last week and the Eagles need help. Eliot Shorr-Parks joins the show with similar concerns, but also speaks to the fact that AJ Brown seems happy in Philly, but might be worried about his career production here. Nick Sirianni joins the show with confidence about his team and a positive outlook that the Eagles can right the ship. Time's Yours callers are upset with the news that Rob Thomson will be back.
After the Phillies lose in devastating fashion to end their season, the 94 WIP Morning Show wonders if Rob Thomson will end up being fired this offseason. It seems like Joe DeCamara, Jon Ritchie, James Seltzer, and Rhea Hughes would all be ok if the Phillies made a change at manager.
Send us a textWe start the show by breaking down Taylor Swift's box office takeover. Her new concert film pulled in over $33 million this weekend—crushing The Rock's Smashing Machine and proving, once again, that Swifties might just be single-handedly keeping theaters alive. But is this really the path to saving cinema, or is it a one-off Taylor phenomenon? This leads us into a larger discussion on whether event-style experiences—like Barbenheimer—are the only way to get people off the couch and back into theaters. We pivot to Saturday Night Live's season premiere and its five new cast members. Has Lorne Michaels officially hit the creative wall after 50 years? This leads us into a debate on whether SNL's problem is the cast, the writing, or simply a show refusing to admit it's run out of things to say.Angelo then gives his take on 'One Battle After Another'. Does he agree that it is as much of a cinematic masterpiece as Jay thinks it is?THEN: BRITISH CORNER: Rhea reviews season four Apple TV's Slow Horses. Why does Rhea think the show is so "smooth" How does the pacing of the show contribute to her review?Angelo follows up with his review of Netflix's Black Rabbit, starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. Then, in response to Jay's movie recommendation last week, Angelo recommends a old time movie to remember what real storytelling looks like. What makes that older film feel more human, more emotional, and—frankly—more watchable than a $150 million modern epic like ' One Battle After Another'.We wrap up with one big question: Is Jay a cinematic visionary… or just a man who spent $15 to watch elephant poop on the big screen?
