Podcast about anime and anything else that comes up.
James and I discuss Umineko, future vacations, and the food from Ulysses
James and I discuss going back to college, currently airing anime, and the utility of poetry in contemporary culture.
James and I talk about disappointing job interviews, his experience watching the new Evangelion movie and my experience watching the Shirobako movie on the silver screen, and my experience at Pizza Hut today
This episode James and I talk about working at Medieval Times, what I should eat next time I'm in Clemson, and how I got the Oregairu Season 3 BDs three weeks before release.
James comes back on for the first time in two months to discuss moving to Latina City (Richmond), having a social life, job searching, and the latest Chris Chan news.
In this episode, Emma, Lily, Eamon, and I talk about the Bioshock series and all try to find jobs.
Eamon, Emma, and Lily join to discuss the new Space Jam movie, starring LeChina, and the bad light novel series "My Friend's Little Sister Has It In For Me!".
Emma, Lily, Eamon, and I talk about how proper gutted we are at England not bringing it home, about how I 1-UPed and got top from my steampunk gf at Nerdcore Prom, and about Halo machinimas.
Emma, Lily, and I talk about movies from the 2000s, why Wonder Egg Priority sucked, what I'm watching this anime season, and the most popular music artists on Spotify
Back after a two-week hiatus, Emma, Lily, and I talk about eBay, James's solo trip to Hooters, and my trip to Cancun.
Emma, Eamon, Lily, and Tyler come on to talk about how they love college
James and I talk about Joe Muggs (the Books-A-Million coffee place), the joy of doing things alone as an adult, and my trip (alone) to the mall. I also unbox a new Yui figure, around a hour in if you want to hear that.
I talk about my recent all-day shopping trip preparing for my trip to Cancun, while James tells me about which places he would like to go and what books I should bring on my trip.
A rather low-energy episode that turns into a high-energy one once we start talking about the Pokemon anime.
James, Eamon, and I read a thread by the guy who did the racist Nagatoro thread last week about turning 30, discuss The Circle more, and talk about the restaurants that are within a quarter-mile of where I work. thread I read from: https://archive.vn/lS4nX
James and I discuss reading at work, my problem with sweet tea, and anime figures. I also do a live unboxing of my Yui nendoroid.
We talk about THAT tweet and our history with 'blowing up' in the past. James tells me about the many shitty light novels he read and his disappointment with how Nagatoro became less physically violent this week.
James and I have a long discussion about the first episode of Nagatoro, and how we think how others will take it. We also talk about what makes Jojo such a great series.
A general inbetween episode since most anime this season is ending and because I don't want the episode to be Tomozaki themed for the third week in a row. By this time next week Nagatoro will have aired so Jame and I will have some new brainworms to spill out.
James and I talk about the ending of Tomozaki, and I tell him about volume 6, spoilers and all since he doesn't care. I also attempt to find another light novel to read.
James and I have another discussion about Tomozaki-kun anime, and then talk about which anime we're going to watch next season.
Eamon, James, and I rank every notable fast food restaurant and talk about our experiences there. Our tier list: https://i.imgur.com/X6345GV.png
James talks about how he, Tyler, and Eamon stumbled upon the 'Bad Ben' series, and his struggles reading the Spice & Wolf light novels. I talk about my continued struggles in finding a new job.
The first solo-pod in a while, where I read and pick apart page one of the five-page and ludicrously long "Explanation for Volume 14 as well as the ending of the story" article from the 'Yahari Analysis' page. Normal podcasting will resume next week. Yahari Analysis: http://yaharianalysis.x10host.com 'Explanation for Volume 14 as well as the ending of the story': http://yaharianalysis.x10host.com/parts/Volume%2014/index.php
Eamon and Tyler come on to talk about the movie of the week, Music, and how it's a uniquely terrible movie.
I talk about the Masamune-kun no Revenge manga, and how I made $89.71 by buying $100 worth of Tilray stock a few days before it got squeezed the hell out of it. James talks about the new Adam Curtis documentary series 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head: An Emotional History of the Modern World', which you have to type out fully. Tyler tells us about 'EX-ARM', which quite possibly could be the worst anime of all time, apparently even worse than Mars of Destruction. If you have any recommendations for any manga series that I should read, tell me by carrier pigeon or by a postcard.
tot comes on for the first (and probably last) interview to discuss their history of cosplaying, the business of doing Onlyfans + Gumroad, their prospects for the future, and if they're ever going to read the copy of Infinite Jest I gifted them. After that, James plays a role a straight white man should play by staying silent while an Italian WOC (lily) and a crazy white boy (technically a POC (me)) talk about the intricacies of Geoguessr and then about the CS:GO and TF2 marketplace for about a hour. Listen to this episode if you want to make money in the Steam Marketplace. tot's Twitter: https://twitter.com/VAMPlREGF tot's Onlyfans: https://onlyfans.com/vampiregf tot's Gumroad: https://gumroad.com/vampiregf
we talk more about geoguessr and tomozaki-kun
I talk about Masamune-kun no Revenge, the anime that I rewatched over the week--that's about all that's worth noting.
I finally finished Infinite Jest! The first half of this episode is dedicated to trying to tell James what I took away from reading it, and what David Foster Wallace was trying to tell us, and if he was right. Moving on from that, we have the same conversation that every other podcast had this week about the current events--don't worry though, I managed to take the centrist line on the Trump ban spree and the whole Capitol Building thing.
After a week and a day off, we return with the story of 'FCG' and 'March Lemon', along with the Westminster, South Carolina Burger King Dine-In Tax, the Seneca, South Carolina Hardees, where a cop demapped an innocent person, and how often I scare my coworkers.
Returning guest and recent 'Endless Eight' survivor, Eamon, comes on to explain what 'Endless Eight' is, and why the hell would someone watch one of the worst Adam Sandler movies eight times within eight days, along with the Nostalgia Critic review of it afterward each time. James talks about his experience reading the what he didn't know was very racist 'The Book of Mormon' and the undecipherable 'Finnegan's Wake'.
happy Hanukkah, fuck KKKristmas some book talk, i forgot about the other stuff
Brief talk about the newest Tomozaki-kun volume (TL;DR: It was good!), James's not so brief talk about Ready Player Two (TL;DR: It was horrible!), talking about the guy that told me to die on Twitter today because I gave Mayo Chiki! a 1.5/10, and several work stories from this week, among other things.
it's us Ready Player 2 talk, Black Friday reporting, which only Eamon can do since I was somehow not scheduled to work, and my experience with watching two terrible things - Employee of the Month, staring Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson, and Mayo Chiki, which is quite possibly the worst anime that I've ever watched.
I bought a new gaming PC. It'll be here sometime this week - so this is the last episode that will be hosted by my school laptop that I've been on for the last three years since I was too lazy to buy a new desktop until now. Eamon and I shoot the shit about holiday retail, and how crazy it's going to be this year, and types of customers.
Not a lot to talk about this episode - mostly our history with playing Minecraft.
Eamon and Emma come on to finally do the long-awaited 'The Challenge' episode. This could have not come at a better time since I was watching the Clemson - Notre Dame game for the first forty minutes, which let them talk without me interrupting.
The 'official' election-themed episode, since it's the last one before the actual election. Some more bottom-of-the-barrel political talk, not as you had enough of that. Also, some good banter about our friend Riro since he was in the process of getting married while this was being recorded.
This one is all over the place--Eamon tells us about how James will have to go to a Hooters by himself as a bet after Biden wins the election by 15 points. Also, jerking off in the UberPool, which is a certain type of post that exists even right now. Me venting about how absurd cover letters are, and everyone else being in awe that I have to drive 10 minutes to dump my garbage. You should download a fast food app, it'll save you a few bucks.
James and I dive into the monstrosity that is The Cheesecake Factory menu. Also more Infinite Jest talk.
I finally read the first 100 pages of Infinite Jest, and I have a lot to say about it. Eamon joins to do his weekly Love Live report live from the pits of hell in D.C.. James talks about the rock climbing anime, and Tyler tells us about the new podcast he is in the works of making. Aggums is going to read the Finnish version of Infinite Jest.
Lily and Emma come on to tell me about their favorite parts of the first 60 pages of Infinite Jest that they've read. James tells me about the Flavor of Love, how he's now Pollardpilled, and about the autobiography by normal actor Klaus Kinski that he read. Eamon joins in half-way to talk to me about the first episode of the new Love Live anime.
Lily comes on to have a discussion about Ulillillia, the books he has written, and about how he is the greatest example of an 'Internet Person'. James and I talk about anime that ended this week (Uzaki-chan and Oregairu) and about what could be next for the Oregairu franchise.
Aggums no longer Hamilpilled! Hallelujah! We talk to him about what led up to him giving up Hamilton forever, which leads up to a discussion on how Homestuck was one of the most important works of the last decade and how the fandom it created will never be reproduced(for better or for worse). While I wouldn't say that Oregairu has a 'fandom', its fanbase on reddit is horrible and misses the point of the whole show. Turning something as good as Oregairu into a 'waifu war' show only shows how bird-brained you are.
This episode WAS supposed to be the 'Nolan-verse' episode, but since Emma and Gwen never got past Interstellar, they committed seppuku and were not able to be on. James talks about his admiration for The Princess Bride, and I tell him about Wendy's rewards scam that I am fully wrapped into.
Eamon comes on to talk fantasy football and tell us about how he almost got mugged. James talks about how ahead of its time Don Quixote was and tells me why he's starting to get agitated by Oregairu. Of course I logically own him epic style.
Gwen Da Cinephile joins us to talk about Zach Snyder and his wonderfully evil movies. James tells us why Chris Angel's Mindfuck should be back in vogue, and gives me a few "that's crazy"'s when I explain to him how Haruno from Oregairu is an empty soul. Speaking of Oregairu, I show James a quick peek into the world of people who have had their brain more chewed up and spit out by Oregairu than I have. The site is actually called "Yahari Analysis" which takes me back to the time where most people called the anime "Yahari". Don't know when the switch to "Oregairu" happened. Oregairu ('Yahari') Analysis Site: http://yaharianalysis.x10host.com/index.php
Aggums talks about the 'Emma Cut' of Hamilfilm he made (which is 5 hours and 20 minutes long). I explain the series 'Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki' to them and talk about the latest volume that came out last week. Afterwards I review mixing pepsi and peanuts together.
Would you guys eat a banana mayo sandwich? I would. Aggums comes back to complain about being up past his bedtime of 6 AM and Tyler pops in after his electric performance at Lavapalooza(I think that's what it's called)
