Discussing underappreciated horror movies and brainstorming plots for ones that don't exist (i.e., telling horror stories).
We make up a title and come up with a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Ghost Birds.
We make up a title and come up with a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Bat's in the Addict. Also, the podcast is a year old now.

Is the show unraveling? Yes... but to reveal what?... a penis.
This week, we're talking to Michelle about the 1989 straight-to-VHS Lovecraftian (sorta) horror film, Beyond Dream's Door. This is our 22nd episode, and if it were TV, that would be a full season. This isn't TV, but let's call this the season finale. Michelle was our guest on episode 1, where she talked about a movie she liked, so it's fitting that we have her back to talk about one she hates. Maybe we'll be back in a few weeks or months. - Tom
In lieu of a regular episode, here's one from my other podcast (episode description below). - Tom Over and Done With - Ep. 11 In this one, we talk about the 90s Spawn animated series, and we get a bit into Todd McFarlane's career and comics in the 90s too. Happy Thanksgiving! It's a horror movie brainstorm. We start with a title (Trash Mom) and generate a horror film from there. Enjoy.
It's a horror movie brainstorm. We start with a title and generate a plot from there. This one's called Uranus and my Heart. It's a sci-fi horror love story about a lonely astronomer who receives an unexpected visitor(s?). Check it out.
We have Michelle back on to talk about this early 90s zombie comedy. Michelle was on our first episode, where we discussed another Bob Balaban horror comedy, Parents (1989). We tried something a little different in this episode, in that we didn't do any preparation and I was in a bad mood. Enjoy!
We burned through our backlog. So, in lieu of a regular episode, here's one from my other podcast (episode description below). The audio gets better after a few minutes. Regular show will be back next week. - Tom Over and Done With - Ep. 9 It's a 2006 X-Men story where Dracula fights Apocalypse. We talk about it. Remember 2006? If you do, you weren't there, brother... I was reading this book. Other Over and Done With episodes: https://overanddonewith.libsyn.com/
We start with a title and brainstorm a horror movie plot from there. It's our 1st annual Halloween episode. I mean, "Blood Sausage" was a Halloween episode, and so was the 2nd story in "October Surprise!", but this is the one that comes out before Halloween. Also, in the interest of celebrating the season, we released more than usual this month and may have overextended ourselves, so if the next episode is late, take that opportunity to check out our other episodes. I really liked Blood Sausage.
We were going to release this one next week, but we got one coming out either Thursday or Friday for Halloween listening, and it's good to give them some room the breathe. Anyway, if you haven't listened before, we make up a title and improvise a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Blood Sausage. This one legit almost made me puke.
Around Halloween time, you want to hear spooky stories, right? We make up a title and improvise a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Dark Talk After Dark. Every time you hear me say "Baltic," imagine I'm saying, "Balkan," alright? Also, we're ditching the usual release schedule for October in the interest of trying to get more content out for the month of Halloween. Enjoy.
We're trying to put out some bonus content for the month of Halloween. To space things out right, the regular episode will be out Tuesday, and there will be 2 new episodes for the week leading up to Halloween. Today, we got 2 stories for you. The 1st one, You Can Have My Head, is a re-release of a back-up story we attached to our interview with Fried Barry director, Ryan Kruger. The 2nd one, Deadlight Saving Time, is a Halloween story we recorded months ago and never released.
It's Halloween time, baby! Time to listen to people you don't know talk about horror movies. This week, we're talking to Elma (@spookyphysics) about the fourth installment of the franchise that brought us Freddy Krueger. You'll have to excuse some of the audio in this episode. We recorded on location at the abandoned home of a child murderer, and the acoustics weren't great. Anyway, this is a giant-sized ep, so pace yourself.
Around Halloween time, you want to hear spooky stories, right? We make up a title and improvise a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Rat in the Tree. What could that be about?
It's the Halloween season, and we're starting off the month of October with a discussion of The Exorcist III. We speak to Cody (@aspacecodyssey) about this woefully under appreciated early 90s horror movie. Cody is a really talented graphic designer, so if you're looking for someone to create a logo for your business or something, check out his website: querycreative.com/
We make up a title and improvise a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's Dying to Die. This was supposed to be a minisode that we'd attach to the Ryan Kruger interview, but it went over an hour. Also, check out Jerry's white noise YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTiZDox2XZK6oeQ8qWqoDvw
We make up a title and improvise a horror movie plot from there. This week, it's The Rattle.
I didn't feel good. Nonetheless, I struggled through TWO conversations about the just fine late 90s supernatural horror film, The Devil's Advocate.
We talk to Matthew John Lawrence (writer/director) and Jeff Riddle (actor/musician) about their new film, Uncle Peckerhead. Uncle Peckerhead is a 2020 punk rock horror comedy currently available on VOD and Blu-ray. In the second half, me and Jerry brainstorm a horror story around the title, You Can Have My Head. Fried Barry Trailer - https://youtu.be/lmEzcw7qLHU Fried Barry Short - https://youtu.be/Wna49sFVsMY
We make up a title and flesh out a horror movie from there. This week, it's We Don't Go Down There Anymore. Mama Mia! That's a good title!
We make up a title and flesh out a horror movie from there. This week, it's My Aunt is a Lunatic. Compelling, right?
Michael returns to discuss the 1987 supernatural horror movie, The Gate.
We make up a title and flesh out a horror movie from there. This week, it's Snake Boy. Who could love a snake boy? Who couldn't love a snake boy?!
We tried to brainstorm plots for a bunch of horror movies, but ended up spending the whole time on one, The Nevertouchers.
The third and final part of my brainstorm session with the Goose. It was late and loose. I think I've settled on calling Jerry "The Goose." Also, these first three minisodes were all part of one conversation, so if we're laughing at something that doesn't make sense, it's prob something from one of the prior ones.
Tom concludes his conversation with Matt about the 1994 sci-fi horror film, Brainscan.
Tom continues his conversation with Matt about the 1994 sci-fi horror film, Brainscan. This is the second part of a three-parter. For continuities sake, the Brainscan episodes will be coming out weekly, rather than every other week.
Tom speaks with Matt about the 1994 sci-fi horror film, Brainscan. Michelle sits in as well. This is the first part of a three-parter. For continuities sake, the Brainscan episodes will be coming out weekly, rather than every other week.
Part 2 of the brainstorm session. I come up with (pitch) a horror movie idea with Jerry (The Kid). Get it?
Tom speaks with artist and illustrator, Kaitlin Van Pelt, about the 1984 British fantasy horror film, The Company of Wolves. Check out Kaitlin's instagram @kaitlinvanpelt . She can draw your werewolf. Also joining us is Jerry.
Thought I'd try do something like this between normal episodes. We come up with an idea for a horror movie. Jerry didn't know we were recording an episode, so he kept smacking his mic.
Tom talks to James about the 1986 semi-comedic horror film, House. They're also joined by baby skeleton, Jerry.
Tom talks to a guest, Michael, about the 1988 British horror film, Lair of the White Worm. At some point in the episode, they remember what country this movie actually takes place in.
