The lads continue with the franchise, arriving at Part 4 and the MTV version of Freddy. A lot of neon lighting, weird dreams involving invisible Freddy and shark Freddy and Robert Englund in drag make for an interesting film. What they have been watching is covered as well as a quick up or down of the Scream 7 trailer.

We don't need a dog to piss fire on us to wake up to the idea that the 1988 sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master is a good movie, although we may disagree about exactly how good a movie it actually is. You'll hear a disagreement about how and when the cast from the previous film should meet their demise, a discussion if the overall look of the film is more cinematic or made for television and absolutely no disagreement about some of the films set pieces including a time loop dream and the practical effects of trapped souls escaping Freddy's body. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters Matt and Vicki S Kate Lampe Daniel Prudhoe Steve Weiss Matthew Aldrich Edward Lankford Heather Sahami
You could say the franchising is sleepwalking with the 4th entry A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master directed by Renny Harlin. “More often than not, I'm fighting for my life!” - Eric, on his recurring nightmares On this week's episode, our Halloween Spooktacular kicks off and, in the spirit of this year's FOUR-OR MOVIE theme, we're chatting about Renny Harlin's English language debut, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master! How great is this Freddy-assisting dog that pees fire? Did we really need to start the movie with a Bible quote, when a scroll about the lore of the Dream Master would've been much more helpful? How cool is the big Freddy soul escape sequence at the end? And should Joey's parents have bought him that water bed? PLUS: Did Wishbone the Literature Dog flirt with human women on that show? A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master stars Robert Englund, Lisa Wilcox, Tuesday Knight, Brooke Theiss, Toy Newkirk, Andras Jones, Danny Hassel, Ken Sagoes, Rodney Eastman, and Jake as Jason the Dog; directed by Renny Harlin. When I was in high school a book of Batman stories came out called “The Further Adventures of Batman: 14 All New Adventures of the Caped Crusader”. It was filled with short stories by several different authors, and it was different than anything else I'd read from the Dark Knight's exploits, because this wasn't a comic book – there were no pictures, just story after story. Somehow it kept my interest, and I remembered it today from back in 1989 when I read it for the first time – the year it came out. The first story was the one I remembered best, so it's the one I bring to you tonight… it's called “Death of the Dream Master” by Robert Sheckley. I've linked to the book it's from below in the sources/references.SOURCES AND REFERENCES FROM THE EPISODE…“Death of the Dream Master” by Robert Sheckley, from the book “The Further Adventures of Batman: 14 All New Adventures of the Caped Crusader” (edited by Martin H.
