Breast Pump Ban: It may sound like a headline from another era — but it happened to Dr Elise Turner this week in Melbourne when the mum of twins was told to leave an airport lounge for daring to express milk for her babies. But there’s one crucial detail that most of us missed and which Mia, Jessie and Amelia needed to dig deep into on today's show. And, an update on Bruce Willis’ condition from his wife in her confronting new memoir that hits home for anyone touched by dementia. Jessie shares her personal experience and unpacks the backlash Emma Heming Willis is getting online for the decisions she's making on behalf of her celebrity husband. Plus, Births, Deaths & Marriages. Mia’s got a new segment and a lot to say. From celebrity babies to red carpet chaos, she’s tying it all together… loosely, but entertainingly. Is it an excuse to (scurrilously) gossip about celebrities? Absolutely it is. Does she seamlessly segue into a controversial red carpet analysis? Of course she does. We also cover Trump: The Dibber Dobber and the 17 household habits that will clear mental clutter as much as they will your kitchen bench tops. Light and shade, friends. Light and shade. Inside The Cecil Hotel: Dark Truths Behind Elisa Lam's Elevator Video On a February morning in 2013, guests at the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles complained of brown, foul-tasting water. What the maintenance team discovered on the rooftop would spark a global internet frenzy - the body of 21-year-old Elisa Lam inside the hotel's water tank. In the days leading up to her disappearance, Elisa was captured on the hotel’s elevator CCTV behaving erratically. The now-viral footage has since fuelled endless theories, speculation, and conspiracy. But for those who worked inside the walls of the Cecil, Elisa’s case wasn’t unusual. The hotel had a long, dark history of death, violence, murder and tragedy. This week on True Crime Conversations, host Claire Murphy speaks with the Cecil Hotel's former manager, Amy Price who lived through the sheer horror and chaos. From eerie theories to the realities of running a place with such a dark history, Amy shares what it was like inside the hotel when one of the internet's most enduring mysteries unfolded. From heartbreak to fragrance empire: How PHLUR became the Taylor Swift of scent When Chriselle Lim took over PHLUR in 2021, she was going through a divorce and wanted to bottle up loneliness itself, specifically, the scent of someone's skin that brings warmth when you're alone. What started as emotional therapy became a fragrance phenomenon with 250,000-person waitlists. This week on The Formula, Kelly chats with the woman behind PHLUR about turning personal trauma into business gold, why fragrance wardrobes are replacing signature scents, and how she built a community so devoted they'll blind-buy every release. From the genius behind fragrance names like Father Figure and Missing Person, to why Gen Alpha treats fragrance like fashion, Chriselle reveals how storytelling drives every scent creation. Public speaking. Presentations. Speaking up in meetings. It's the stuff of sweaty palms and racing thoughts, and yet, we're all expected to be good at it. Let's be honest - most of us would rather do literally anything else than stand up and speak in front of people. The pressure to "sound confident" when you're internally screaming can feel paralysing. But here's the thing: you don't have to pretend to be someone you're not to get better at this. This week, Lisa and Em get honest about the fear so many of us feel when it comes to using our voice at work. Whether it's a team meeting, a client pitch, or standing on stage with a microphone, they're sharing their own journeys - from awkward silences to the strategies that actually work. What you'll learn: • The public speaking confidence ladder - how to work your way up from "terrified to speak in meetings" to actual presentations • Why recording yourself (audio only) is genuinely life-changing practice • The "headline, proof, connection" structure that stops you rambling • How to recover when your brain completely abandons you mid-speech • Real talk on the classics: saying "um," blanking, and speaking way too fast Our BIZ hosts are Lisa Lie - a former Head of People & Culture and Organisational Coach - and Mamamia’s Em Vernem. She thought she was speaking to “Brandon,” a teenage American boy. In reality, Brandon was a persona—a carefully crafted fake identity Newman had used to lure girls online. Police would later uncover nearly 200 such identities. One of those girls was Carly Ryan. Newman lured Carly to a secluded beach, pretending to be Brandon, and brutally murdered her. There’s one thing you definitely know about Elizabeth Gilbert. She wrote Eat Pray Love - a book that became a global phenomenon, a movie, and a blueprint for millions of women seeking transformation. It made Liz one of the most famous writers in the world. But behind that fame was a deeper story - one Liz never told. Until now. In her new memoir, All the Way to the River, Elizabeth Gilbert tells the truth about the love of her life, her best friend-turned-partner, the late Rayya Elias. It’s a story that’s fierce, complicated, and far from the romantic ideal many people projected onto them. It’s also about Liz’s own descent into addiction; not to drugs or alcohol, but to sex and love. “I am a sex and love addict,” she writes. “I have caused tremendous harm to myself and others.” In this brutally honest conversation, Liz opens up to Holly about the darkest chapters of her life; the chaos of living with a partner relapsing into addiction, the shame of her own destructive patterns, and the moment she contemplated something unthinkable. But this is also a story about healing, truth, and grace. About the kind of honesty that can save your life. And about what happens when you stop running, and finally let yourself be seen. This is Elizabeth Gilbert like you’ve never heard her before: Unfiltered. Grieving. Funny. Fierce. And ready to tell the whole truth. Let's be honest...the leadership playbook that worked five years ago is failing spectacularly right now. The world has fundamentally changed, and clinging to the old "hero leader" approach isn't just outdated, it's actively damaging your team. This week, we're ditching the pressure to have all the answers and exploring why getting curious beats being right. From why self-aware leaders crush those who think they're perfect, to choosing confidence over certainty. We explore why thinking in loops beats linear planning, tackle the self-preservation trap making leaders hoard information, and bust the myth that good leaders always know what to do. What you'll learn: • The one question that separates great leaders from terrible ones: "What's more important - being right or solving this?" • How to use the 70/20/10 planning model when your boss still wants that impossible five-year plan • Why "seeker" leaders outperform "teller" leaders every time (and how to make the switch) • The health monitor trick that spots team problems before they explode • How to set up working agreements that stop you becoming the office firefighter Our BIZ hosts are Lisa Lie - a former Head of People & Culture and Organisational Coach - and Mamamia’s Em Vernem.
