Weird Darkness is narrated by professional full-time voice actor Darren Marlar. No A.I. voices are ever used in the show.IN THIS EPISODE: When you think of methods of execution, what comes to mind? Electric chair? Hanging? Firing squad? Lethal injection? Or perhaps something a bit more historic like guillotine, or even stoning. But I'm guessing the last thing you'd think of for a method of execution would be death by golden shower. (Death by Urination) *** Had Daniel Lambert been alive today, he would've carted his more than 700 pounds around in a motorized scooter, as too many morbidly obese people choose to do. But in the early 1800s, such amenities weren't available, because there was no market for them. Lambert was a true anomaly. And people couldn't get enough of him. (Daniel Lambert: Fat Man On Display) *** A woman describes how frightened she was when working in a school after hours – so frightened that now, over 23-years-later, she still has trouble sleeping due to the fear she experienced. (Horrible, No-good, Very Bad Schoolhouse) *** An eerie painting spooked many who just saw it. Those who owned it fared worse. Could this piece, painted in 1972, truly be haunted? (The Hands Resist Him: Haunted Painting) *** From murdering children to drinking blood, Peter Kürten was "the king of the sexual perverts" and perhaps the worst serial killer ever. So it's no surprise he would be tagged with the word “vampire” to describe him. I really like this episode - me and Dave are relaxed and into the vibe of what we've created. It reminds me of Seinfeld, now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we've reached the heights of Larry David's best writing here, but like Seinfeld, it's a show about nothing. What is this episode about? Nothing. Yet it's about everything - it's about two men having a long friendship since childhood and can finish each other's sentences. It's about spending time in our company, and either you want to hang out with us, or you'll think us pillocks. It's about being mature enough to acknowledge it's OK that your parents had sex. It's about still being immature enough to giggle at it. But most of all it's about Rob & Dave telling you a story of a lad they went to school with, with the most fearsome power in the word: the power to crush your spirit with a mean word, and that the world is still ruled by such people, and we are but mice playing on the giants, afraid that they'll awake. OK. Let's talk about titles. Titles are so hard on the 'week in review' episodes, they are some of the best episodes in terms of vibe, but they are impossible to title because they're about nothing, so here goes, let's brainstorm some titles: * Which member of the British aristocracy reads Fesshole? * The one with the new format section of 'rejected fessholes' * How the pop group Tears For Fears helped one man overcome his piss shyness. * What's the best rapping ever done by a white man? Oh man it's so hard, titles are so hard, but do listen, as this is a solid episode made of pure nothing, glorious nothing. Rob Manuel Producer: Will Fitzpatrick tempotalker.com
Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed yourself? In this uproariously informative episode of Join The Docs, the ever-witty Professor Jonathan Sackier and the hilariously insightful Doctor Nigel Guest dive deep into the riveting world of pee-ology. With the chemistry of a classic comedy duo, they embark on a fluid journey through the golden streams of urination and urinary health. Is your pee the perfect shade? The episode kicks off with a vibrant discussion on the Pantone scale of pee, where our hosts illuminate the hidden messages within the hue of your loo. Professor Sackier explains that a dark amber urine might just mean you've been hitting the gym a little too hard. Doctor Guest chimes in with a chuckle, reminding us that while "sweating it out" is great, turning your toilet bowl into a dark ale tasting session is not.Think drinking water is boring? Think again! The Docs then prescribe the magic elixir of life—good ol' H2O. Downing about eight glasses a day, they say, is the secret to keeping your personal plumbing in tip-top shape. But beware, as alcohol and caffeine will dry you out one sip at a time. Professor Sackier quips that if you're reaching for that fourth espresso or considering turning happy hour into happy hours, urine trouble…Urinary tract infections are no laughing matter; Doctor Guest regales us with tales of the female urinary tract, a heroine in its own right, battling the dastardly bacteria that dare to trespass. They discuss how the shorter urethra is like a VIP express lane for unwanted microbial party crashers, leading to cystitis.Ready for symptoms and causes of bladder inflammation with a twist? Doctor Guest recounts the time he diagnosed a bladder infection in a woman who thought she was just "angry peeing."By the end of this pee-centric podcast episode, you'll not only be thoroughly entertained but also equipped with the knowledge to keep your urinary tract as happy as ever. So, tune in, have a laugh, and remember: when it comes to urinary health, it's better to be safe than sorry, and definitely better to be hydrated than high and dry!—--DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed on Join the Docs are those of Dr. Nigel Guest, Jonathan Sackier and other people on our show. In a captivating exploration of sleep's profound impact on our mental and physical well-being, this episode delves into a wide array of topics, guided by notable experts. We start by discussing the pressing decline in mental health among girls, supported by insights from various sources including Forbes and Discover Magazine. The conversation then progresses with Dr. Mari Swingle and Jay Gunkelman, who provide an in-depth analysis of the Theta Beta Ratio's evolution since 1999, highlighting how decreased sleep and disrupted circadian rhythms contribute to ADD/ADHD and bipolar disorders. Through engaging discussions, we uncover the modern challenges families face, the pressures exerted by social media, and the phenomenon of "sleep competition." The experts also touch upon the transformation in lighting technology from incandescent to LED and its effects on our sleep cycles. With a focus on solutions, we explore practical interventions like "Granny Glechoma Glasses" for screen light filtration and neurofeedback techniques for improving sleep quality in athletes, students, and those dealing with trauma. The episode doesn't shy away from complex topics like the impact of sleep deprivation on mental states, the therapeutic potential of REM sleep, and the pitfalls of common sleep aids. Whether you're intrigued by the science of sleep, looking for ways to improve your mental health, or curious about the intersection of technology and well-being, this episode offers valuable knowledge, innovative solutions, and thought-provoking insights for everyone. Welcome to another addition in our long series of commentary about the comprehensive signs of overreaching and overtraining. This content is inspired by the incredibly thorough look at all aspects of overtraining and remedies that is contained in the Primal Fitness Expert Certification course, and this topic is such an important one to discuss—it is so helpful and supportive to have extensive knowledge about how body works, as well as how it can fool you by over producing stress hormones and making you feel great, not sore, and full of energy so you continue to train harder and harder. As you will hear, you will always crash and burn eventually, so having an understanding the nuances of this and being able to identify the little signs that come up so you can take corrective action and back off (even if you're feeling hyped up and energized to do more training) is an integral part of fitness and overall wellness. Tune into the episode to learn what excessive thirst often signifies, the symptoms of chronic dehydration and failure to hydrate optimally, the importance of rehydration and why merely chugging a gallon of water after a sweaty workout isn't enough, how to ensure that your body absorbs all the fluid it needs, how you can determine when your autonomic nervous system is out of balance, and more! Clip From Ep #657 Of The Clay Edwards Show On 103.9 WYAB (12/14/23) An 11 year old black boy from Senatobia, Mississippi was arrested over the summer for public urination, this week he was put on a 3 month probation for breaking the law and people are in an uproar over this punishment. His family has obtained a lawyer (Carlos Moore) to sue the city and claims this would have never happened if the boy wasn't black. Suffice to say I disagree with that last part, we take calls and text on if he should have actually been arrested and put on probation or not Check out my website at Www.ClayEdwardsShow.Com for all things Clay

Today we're going to talk about the #1 vitamin deficiency behind bladder issues: vitamin B1 deficiency. A vitamin B1 deficiency could lead to problems, including: • Leaky bladder • Incomplete urination • Frequent urination • Getting up in the middle of the night to urinate The common thread behind these bladder issues is actually a problem with the nervous system. The main control with urine elimination stems from the brain, and this part of the brain is very sensitive to a vitamin B1 (thiamine) deficiency. A thiamine deficiency in the brain can even starve off certain neurons, causing a lack of function. The part of the brain that controls the bladder can shrink, leading to a loss of control of the bladder. This situation is common with age and in those with diabetes, prediabetes, or chronic insulin resistance. Natural tips to get rid of bladder issues: 1. Take vitamin B1 (benfotiamine and natural B1) 2. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting 3. Drink 2.5 liters of fluid a day (not past 6 pm or 7 pm) 4. Consume apple cider vinegar (1 to 2 TBSP in water) 5. Reduce caffeine consumption 6.
