    Attack on Pearl Harbor - Episode #27

    Happy Thanksgiving! We finally woke up from our turkey coma! The first Thanksgiving was credited to the Plymouth Colony in 1621. Only about half of the origional 104 pilgrims of the Mayflower survived their first winter in New Engalnd. The remaining 58 Pilgrims and their new Native American Allies celebrated their first sucessful harvest in the fall of 1621. That harvest celebration endured into the Thanksgiving Holiday we celebrate tooday!

    The Salem Witch Trials were one of America's most tragic and imfamous periods in our country's history. Starting in late 1692, over 200 people were accused of being witches. In that time period, the penelty for being a witch was death! No one really knows with certainty how it all started, many records of the events were destroyed in an attempt to hide this dark moment in American History. Theories range from girl's playing make-believe and cruel jokes, domestic disputes between neighbors, and even contaminated bread with naturally occuring hallucinogenics. What we do know is by he end, 20 people were exicuted for the "crime" of witchcraft while 200 ohers were imprisioned. Join us this week while we take a closer look at the Salem Witch Trials!
