Podcast by Adam & Josh
The boys finally return for Ep 113 and there's a lot to catch up on. Little update on Coley's new dad life, the current state of the house restoration project, and a glimpse into Lesco's return to country living. NHL-wise, Babcock does Babcock things, the Sens continue to Sen, Edmonton STINKS, NHL Global Series was a hit, and the Leafs are....ok. So far. Lots of love for our main rockstar William Nylander and his contract status, Sheldon Keefe's early season shrapnel and much more! Glad to be back for another season.
Episode 112 was a great time recapping the Stanley Cup Finals and chatting with Jason York (@JasonYork33), former NHLer and co-host of the Coming in Hot Sens Podcast. We chat about his career in the NHL, spending time with two different expansion teams, making the playoffs for the first time in franchise history with both of those clubs, what it's like post-playing career, transition to media, why the Leafs are so hated (and also so loved), and playing in hockey-mad Switzerland. Jason also sheds some light on the recent sale of the Ottawa Senators and talks a little bit about his time being involved in the CCHL with the Kemptville 73's. Another season in the books for the PuckPod! Thanks to everyone for tuning in, we hope you enjoyed the season and the incredible new friends of the show that we made along the way. Already looking forward to next year!!
Episode 111 drops a couple of weeks removed from some major news in Leaf land. Dubas is out, Treliving is in, and the boys have takes. Coley provides his mock trade for Mitch Marner and Lesco stays the course of simply waiting to see what happens next. Probably a good thing that this episode didn't drop as an emergency pod (which Coley wanted) as the takes would have been outrageous at that time. We chat about the playoffs, the future of the team, and put on our GM hats to offer up some different directions that the team may take. After that we touch briefly on the sale of the Ottawa Senators and how that transaction has seemingly gone sideways after looking like an exciting time mere weeks ago. Exciting new guest to announce shortly, so we WILL be back before the end of the summer to bring that to you. Chat then.
Episode 110 was history in the making, as the boys spontaneously fired up PID LIVE on Facebook after game 4, to break down the big win and give Coley a channel to voice his emotions on the leafs coming back to win the series. We double dipped being on Facebook Live as well as recording the audio for podcast release, however we did miss a couple of minutes to start the show for audio (amateur hour). So if you're looking for the whole thing, head over to our Facebook page for the entire video, where we have a little celebration with the victory tune and settle in for the show. Thanks to those who jumped in during the Live show with your comments and reactions. Interacting with chat is a ton of fun and something we hope to continue doing. Let's keep the Passion Wagon chuggin' along and get some more PID LIVE going!!!
Friend of the show and Sirius XM NHL Radio host Jake Hahn joins the boys again to preview the 2023 NHL playoffs. We discuss the best series to follow, possible surprises and who Jake thinks will take home the ultimate prize. Are the Bruins destined to win it all, or is the field just too competitive? Jake also offers his thoughts on why things could be different this year for the Leafs, with Coley desperate for a pick me up. Where does Knies fit into this group? Is there any point in the series where the leafs can feel comfortable? All that and more jammed into a great chat with one of the show's best recurring guests! For full comprehensive playoff coverage, catch Jake daily on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio channel 91 weekdays 1-3pm!
Ep 107 is another big step towards the PuckPod becoming truly legit as we welcomed Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion to the show to chat about the sens, ownership, prospects, rule changes and more! An incredible experience being able to chat with an NHL GM mid-season, and the boys are super pumped to bring that content to you! After our call with Pierre, the boys are shaming disgraced NHL official Tim Peel for being a real POS, chatting about the Bunting/Keefe relationship and playing a little game called What If? regarding the honeymoon phase for teams who win a championship. How long would the honeymoon phase last for the Leafs if they were to win it all, after decades of pure misery? Let us know!
Episode 106 - The Godfather features former NHLer and Maple Leaf alumni Frankie Corrado sharing his story about breaking into the hockey media, his ups and downs throughout his NHL career and of course, the #FreeFrankie situation with everyone's favourite bench boss, Mike Babcock. The Godfather hits the boys with an interesting little tidbit on Babs that we think you're gonna want to hear! Frankie also drops an exclusive ‘Godfather's Percentages' as heard on OverDrive, regarding the Leafs' playoff hopes. What a beauty. After our call with Frankie, the boys are getting caught up on our thoughts from the trade deadline and how confident we feel with only a month left before playoffs! Don't forget to subscribe and follow us on social media! @PuckPod @LescoAdam @Coleman42 or drop us a line at realpuckpod@gmail.com
Episode 105 tells the story of a terrified rookie goaltender in the NHL; learning the ropes, the bus schedules, the team meals, early practices and finding strange men asleep in your hotel room after the morning skate. That's your roommate Marty! Welcome to the NHL! An absolute pleasure to have on the PuckPod, Marty has a ton of great stories to tell and even some insider information on the Buffalo Sabres that's worth the listen alone. Huge thanks to a real beauty for joining the program. We'll chat again in round TWO Marty! Before we bring Marty on, the boys are feelin' the flow, breaking down the O'Reilly acquisition and where he slots into the lineup. Coley discovers a bromance with Marty as they share some similar opinions on the Leafs roster, and how it will shape up come playoff time. Sprinkle in some Arizona State Coyotes talk and we're right back in the groove!
Episode 104 was a long time comin. The boys are back at it after a lengthy delay to talk about some of the major stories that broke since we last chatted, and some speculation on the upcoming trade deadline. The Bruce Boudreau saga, Patrick Kane, World Juniors, the Superbowl, and more all packed into this one. Next week we are expecting a new friend of the show to make his first appearance, a former NHL goaltender with lots to talk about. Stay tuned for that, and a busy run to the finish line with the trade deadline approaching and the playoffs right around the corner…buckle up folks.
This episode was long overdue. We welcome Ottawa Senators reporter for The Athletic, Ian Mendes to the show to get the inside scoop on the Sens. Ian joins us right off the hop and we dive right into some of his famous moments in his early broadcasting career: getting smoked by a baseball at the World Series, running the bases as Lenny the Lynx, co-writing a book with Jamie McLennan, and how he managed to secure the world's most generic Twitter handle. We chat about the emotional roller coaster the sens and their fans have been on for the last 20 years, and where the team is headed in the near future. After Ian's call the boys chat a little World Cup action, Ovechkin's scoring prowess, and William Nylander's future. Don't be shy, send us a line sometime and let us know what you're thinking at realpuckpod@gmail.com. See you for episode 104!!
Former Maple Leaf and Flyer tough guy Jay Rosehill joins the boys on the PuckPod to chat about his career in hockey, the current iteration of the Leafs and some good stories from his time in Toronto. After our chat with Jay, we chat about the HoF ceremony and the emotional trip back to Toronto for Maple Leafs legend Borje Salming, and what that meant to some lifelong leafers who never even got to watch him play. Great to be back on the air after a long hiatus dealing with home renovations and illnesses but we're back and ready to rock!
Episode 101 is full of emotion as the boys have not recorded since before the season started and have a lot to get off their chests. With the Leafs horrendous start to the season brings a ton of interest from both fans and haters alike, and Coley isn't quite sure which category he fits into right now. Other than bitching about the Leafs, the boys are chatting about the imminent sale of the Ottawa Senators and what that means for a potential new area, and whether Kessel is a good name to choose for your kid. Enjoy!
100 episodes DEEP. Thanks to all our listeners and our amazing lineup of guests that have made this show possible. On today's episode, Luke Fox joins the show for his regular scheduled programming to update us on Leafs camp, position-less hockey, the hip-hop game and of course, some rapid fire questions. Before we bring Luke on, we're reminiscing about starting the podcast and all the cups we thought the Leafs were going to win by now, and pulling up some takes from the Coley's Corner blog (circa 2012). After Luke's call we're tipping the cap to Bob Probert and throwing more well deserved shade at Hockey Canada. Cap it off with a special shoutout to Matthew Barnaby, who didn't make the cut for the intro (nice job Coley) but found his way into the end of the show. Cheers everyone, looking forward to the next 100!
Our lead story for this episode is the same as every major news outlet across the continent today: Should The Leafs Change Their Goal Song? That breaking story as well as lots of other interesting topics such as how many alarms in the morning is too many; using your asshole to cheat at chess; and Coley's old blog from 2012, the boys are having a time in the studio from start to finish. The drama surrounding the Jets gets a chunk of time today, as does the recent news of the salary cap projections over the next few seasons. We're back in the groove and feelin good! Enjoy everyone, next stop, 100!
Ep 98 - Fool Me Once We dusted off the mics after an extended absence from recording and got right to business for episode 98. Approaching the century mark and coming off our last episode featuring James Duthie, the boys are catching up on a busy summer; what we were up to, what we watched and didn't watch, and of course, how we dealt with another first round exit for the boys in blue. We chat about the significant changes made to a couple teams north of the border (CGY/OTT) as well as some significant changes that need to be happening over at Hockey Canada. Lots of time spent discussing the new crease situation for the Leafs, who we will miss the most and who we're most excited about coming in. Glad to be back!
Episode 97 is one to remember. As we enter Masters week, the boys on the PuckPod are extremely proud to welcome James Duthie to the show. James joins the show to talk about Tiger's chances at Augusta, covering the Masters tournament for a decade, witnessing Tiger's incredible 2019 win, who's the best and worst golfer at TSN, and what it's like to play Augusta National with Top Flights from Walmart. James also gets an opportunity to remember a dear friend, Jonathan Pitre who passed away four years ago today, after a lengthy battle with Epidermolysis Bullosa. James sheds some light on the powerful TSN feature The Butterfly Child and spoke about the impact that Jonathan had on his personal life. We learn that James and his family have done some amazing sponsorship work with Children Believe, a charity where he serves as an ambassador. Some really great stuff. Before we let him go, James offers his thoughts on the Leafs, if he thinks they can win a round or not, and promises Coley a spot in the electric foursome. Thanks again James, until next time!
This episode is long overdue as we welcome back friend of the show Alex Hobson who takes a night off from writing top notch articles for The Hockey Writers to join, in his own words “his favourite podcast to hop on and chat with”. Before we shoot the shit with Hobson, we're talking about how things have been going since we last recorded almost a month ago; stress relief, Covid, vacations, and some other nonsense. On the ice, we had a good discussion about rebuilding teams and where they stack up against each other, who's further ahead and who is a long way away from relevance. When Alex jumps in, it's all TML as we dive deep into the goaltending situation, the current state of the team, levels of concern heading into playoffs, trade targets, and who is the best player in the NHL. Top it off with some on-the-spot trivia from Hobson and it's one of the more entertaining shows we've recorded to date. Enjoy!
The Rat King has struck again! This one is full of energy as the boys had some thoughts and opinions they needed to get off their chests. From the Marchand suspension to Anson Carter's garbage tirade on TNT, we're not shying away from telling it how it is on this episode of the PuckPod. The Oilers make their weekly appearance on the Shit Segment (this might need to become a thing), the Habs get in on the coaching carousel, Trevor Zegras is good for the game, and there's Canadians, Americans and Russians all competing to win a gold medal....for team China. Weird times. On a more positive note, Coley has a very optimistic thought on the Coyotes recent move to ASU's small venue that might sway your opinion on the matter... Thanks for tuning in! Oh yeah...and Coley got ghosted by Tim Peel.
This eppy goes all over the place, as we cover some NFL, Canadian national soccer, Sawmill Rd shows, freedom and more. Since we missed talking about the Leafs last episode, we're heavy on the boys in blue on this one, after Lesco puts a quarter in himself on the recent protesting in Ottawa that made it's way through Pembroke Friday evening. Stick around for the whole show and you'll hear our exciting next guest announcement on the show. A different perspective on the way for the PuckPod and we can't wait to deliver that to you people.
This eppy (almost a month in the making) was a great time, discussing the misery of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid after a disastrous month for Edmonton(have they won a game since we last recorded?). We also dissected the rap sheet of Oilers' GM Ken Holland, looking back on some of his less-than-ideal managerial decisions over the years. Fun times. A deep dive into the Montreal Canadiens cap structure moving forward, how to fix the All Star Game, Evander Kane debate, and much more...something for everyone! Before we get to the hockey talk, we had an extended 'banter' segment that included educational components: learning new Twitter slang, the Wordle craze, getting familiar with the Metaverse; the future of gaming and entertainment. That was kickstarted by a great convo about video games and some recent big news there. No #TMLTalk in this episode, there was simply too much to get to, so we're right back at it next week to chat about everyone's favourite team. See ya then, stay pissy.
Ep 92 has been postponed. A rescheduled date has yet to be announced. But for real...Tiger, Charlie, Ron MacLean, Zegras, Torts, Leafs, Refs...this eppy has it all, and we're angry about it. Merry Christmas.
Bite Me is 90 plus minutes of pure fire. From the hungry Brendan Lemieux situation, to Canada's basement occupied by Montreal Vancouver and Ottawa, the boys were FIRED UP to get back to business. After some nonsense discussion about Christmas decorations (who else loves Christmas villages?) and Coley's band, they're back on track discussing a bunch of different topics: the Penguins, the Ducks, the Pembroke Lumber Kings and more! Don't forget to hit us up on Twitter and let us know if you agree with Coley's wild take on the Olympics, Christmas villages, and if you plan on attending an upcoming Sawmill Road show! Merch available for Christmas, get it while it's hot and in stock! https://gallantmedia.ca/product-category/pucks-in-deep/?fbclid=IwAR2aPaJyiU_R1WACYLN6cxwOGYtQBxuF9gsFKjtSVK4oV7fzC2e9TzS8yBY
This eppy has a lot of yelling. The boys finally get together after a two week hiatus to discuss the Blackhawk's scandal, which was both intense and necessary. After a lengthy discussion on a sensitive topic, the boys get back to business talking about everyone's favourite, TML and of course some other nonsense as always. 90 episodes in! Time flies when you're having a blast.
Ep 89 - Wet Hands features a ton of nonsense about what television shows we're gearing up for and what we've been binging lately. We do actually talk hockey for the majority of the show, leaving the TV banter to the end but it was probably the most interesting part. Other than Coley's experience at the Sens home opener vs TML which was interesting to say the least... MLB playoffs Leafs, Sens, Sabres, Habs and a hell of an intro to get you fired up for another NHL season well underway.
It's Fantasy Week on the PuckPod so the boys welcome back friend of the show and Sportsnet fantasy guru Nick Alberga (@thegoldenmuzzy) to the pod to talk pools. We've got you covered for your upcoming drafts, who to target, who to avoid and which players might surprise you this year. Nick loves a good contract year for motivation so we're covering all the notable players who are playing for a raise this season, which players can be counted on for bounce-back seasons, and target some solid goalie options as well. Next week we're bringing back Pucks In Deep Live for the season opener, we'll see you there, as long as Facebook doesn't get shut down...
In this episode the boys welcome back Sirius XM NHL Network Radio Host Tyler Madarasz to shoot the shit on a few topics, namely the Robin Lehner accusations over the weekend, the Jays and their disappointing ending (Toronto teams amirite), the recent All or Nothing Amazon documentary on the Leafs (F-bomb central)and more. Coley gets his opportunity to explain/defend the worst trade in fantasy sports history, where he gifted Karill the Thrill to none other than Madarasz himself! Absolute pigeon. Stay tuned for more from the PuckPod this week, as we're getting pucks deep on a record level heading into the NHL season!
The boys welcome back friend of the show and Sirius XM NHL Network Radio host Jake Hahn back to the PuckPod to tell his hole-in-one story, recap the Ryder Cup, talk some betting lines on the upcoming NHL season, #ManningCast, and much more. Always a pleasure catching up with Jake. We can't wait to keep this train rolling as we approach a new NHL season with 32 teams and a full schedule!
In this episode we welcome a friend of the show, author and NHL writer @Sportsnet Luke Fox back to the PuckPod to chat about RFA's, hip hop, goats, and more! Luke has his fingers on the pulse of the TML so we discuss the new bodies in training camp, the Ilya Mikheyev trade request, who to expect on the top line and a little bit on the Amazon documentary coming out soon. Thanks again to Luke for joining us. Be sure to follow him on Twitter @lukefoxjukebox. Hockey is just around the corner! Feels great to be back on the regular.
Ep 84 - Catching Up is our first time on the airwaves in well over three months, so the banter is heavy and the takes are hot. Not gonna lie, barely any hockey talk on this episode but the boys had a beauty time catching up and chatting about what's been going on in their lives, Lesco's western vacation, Coley's new band, vaccinations...you know, the regular stuff. Great to be back on the air and really looking forward to next week when we welcome back Sportsnet's Luke Fox to chat about the upcoming Leaf season!
Ep 83 - Eulogy is an emotional one. We get back together for the first time after mourning the loss of Adam's father Randy. We tell his story and pay our respects to a loving father, husband, colleague, coach and friend. This one's for you Randy!!! There's a second eulogy required for this episode, as we discuss the colossal collapse of the Toronto Maple Leafs. No spoilers, just jump in and see how the boys are doing after a couple of days to let this one sink in. @PuckPod @Coleman42 @LescoAdam Pucks In Deep on FB realpuckpod@gmail.com
Ep 82 - LeafsTV might be our claim to fame. We chat with long time LeafsTV host Paul Hendrick who offers all kinds of great stories, his ups and downs during his tenure as one of the most recognizable faces in Toronto Maple Leafs media. Henny doesn’t shy away from any questions during this interview, as we learn a bit more about what happens behind the scenes when you’re covering a major team like the Leafs. Not much to say about this eppy, just jump in and check it out. You won’t be disappointed! We are also announcing our new Pucks In Deep LIVE show that starts this Thursday, for game one Leafs vs Habs. We’re going to be going LIVE during every intermission and post game for all the Leafs playoff games. Here’s hoping for a deep run for the buds!! Follow along on our Facebook page, Pucks In Deep Podcast, and get notifications when we are LIVE, and join the discussion! Can’t wait to see you there. GLG
Episode 81 - Calm Before the Storm drops for some quick hits on some big stories around the NHL. We wanted to make sure that we spent enough time talking about the sagas in the state of New York with the Rangers fallout and Jack Eichel’s injury comments in Buffalo, since we’ve got a major guest booked for next week’s episode! Former TML reporter and broadcasting legend Paul Hendrick will join the boys next week to chat LeafsTV and preview the playoffs. You won't want to miss it! After spending lots of time talking about the New York teams, we shift over to the Columbus Blue Jackets and discuss where that team is heading after the mutual departure with head coach John Tortorella, how Laine feels about hockey these days and even drop some predictions on the Leafs and Habs series set to start next week. Thanks for tuning in, and thanks for sticking with us as we get geared up for some exciting new content during the playoffs. We will be recording and producing a ton of content over the next couple of months and we're FIRED up about it. Be sure to follow our Facebook page for more updates and to be notified when we drop some new content!
Ep 80 - Tommy Boy was a long time in the making. We’re back at it though with some fresh takes on Tom Wilson’s newest antics, the new TV deal with TNT, the women’s world championships, and who the Leafs should prefer to face in the first round of the upcoming playoffs (spoilers….it shouldn’t matter!) Before we get cracking on hockey, we’re bringing you up to speed on our current situation in lockdown here in Ontario, YUGE projects at the PID 'studio', and even a little golf for ya. Head over to our new PID Facebook page, drop us a like and a follow and join the discussion! We are excited to launch some new content there in the next few weeks so stay tuned!
Ep 79 - DEADline Day is a mixed bag, after a long layoff the boys are getting things back on track with a post deadline pod, talking about the trades (or lack thereof), where the Leafs slot in with their additions, and what to expect from Taylor Hall. After the trade talk, we dive into the Masters tournament on the weekend, the significance of Hideki Matsuyama’s first career major win, Xander Schaufelle’s costly mistake, and Bryson Dechambeau’s brutal performance. We finish up the show with a deeper look at the Maple Leafs, specifically the nicest guy of all time, Jack Campbell and his impressive play. Check us out on our new Facebook page, @PuckPod and follow the page for some upcoming new content that we are working on, and excited to produce in the near future!
Episode 78 is an educational masterpiece. From combining words (content and controversy) to making up totally new words (plummelling?), we’re shaking off the rust and getting right back at it on the PuckPod. Off the rails a bit at the beginning, talking about homie-based business and insurance (LOL) to the cesspool that is social media, it’s a content-filled controversial great time. We hope you enjoy. Taking it back to the ice with our usual checkup on the Buffalo Sabres….coaching changes in Montreal, Calgary and Buffalo, ESPN’s new deal with the NHL and of course, lots of shit to go over for our beloved Maple Leafs. Head over to the link below to vote for the PuckPod as best local podcast for the MyFm Community Spirit Awards. We made the final and are counting on your votes to help us bring home the hardware! Thank for the support and for tuning in. Community Spirit Awards - #7 Best Local Podcast (maybe #22 as well for best insurance….Mike Coleman!) https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SD8JJ72
Ep 77 - Hammer Time Ep 77 - Hammer Time drops after about a two week hiatus which means the boys are RARING to go here. Back in the studio after almost two months and we couldn’t be happier about it. Obviously we cover the last few games for the TML, including that amazing collapse against the pesky sens. Coley shares his crazy twitter story how he almost got cancelled (spoiler, it’s not his fault this time), we beat the dead horse known as the Arizona Coyotes a bit more, tackle the #BellLetsTalk ‘issue’ and respond to some of twitter’s worst (best?) takes. Plus a ton of other shit such as our first impromptu edition of Show & Tell. This one was a lot of fun, hope you all enjoy! Follow us wherever you can and subscribe to the PuckPod. We appreciate all the support!
Ep 76 drops and we are proud to announce we have successfully uploaded ep 75 to YouTube for your viewing pleasure. This eppy might take a while as well, but Coley is on the case to get it out ASAP! Thanks for tuning in and supporting the PuckPod! YouTube Channel: Pucks In Deep @Coleman42 @LescoAdam realpuckpod@gmail.com
Ep 74 - Fantasy Fix features Sportsnet fantasy guru Nick Alberga who joins the show again, this time to dig deep and help you win your fantasy pools this season! With the division realignment and multiple fantasy-relevant players on the move to new teams, Nick mines through a lot of different aspects in the fantasy world to help you gain an advantage over your competition! After we chat fantasy with Nick, we’re chatting briefly about the Leafs and what to expect coming out of camp next week the puck is down for the 2021 NHL season. Can’t wait!! Thanks for joining us Nick, and best of luck to all our listeners in the fantasy game this year.
Ep 73 - All World features Sirius XM NHL Network Radio host Tyler Madarasz bringing his world-wide knowledge of hockey to the podcast for another visit. Tyler is definitely now categorized as a regular, and seems to enjoy friendly jabs at co-worker and co-friend of the show Jake Hahn. Get tuned in to see what Ty’s been up to preparing for the lockdown and even some reaction to breaking news live on the pod. As promised, after we shoot the breeze for a bit with Ty on the new divisions and pending free agents (and more) we’re focusing on the World Junior Championships which are scheduled to get underway on Christmas Day. So get cozy and get fired up for the WJC, get to know who to follow and a bit of what to expect from the young prospects Thanks to everyone for all the support and the positive feedback this year. 2020 was a crappy year in general, but the PuckPod's following definitely got stronger, and we had a blast recording throughout the madness. Looking forward to getting right back into it, look for some fantasy related content in the New Year with more great guests! We’d love to hear from you! Drop us a line --> realpuckpod@gmail.com. Chirp us, give us your thoughts, rant about something...whatever you want.
Ep 72 - Content Machine feat Luke Fox Episode 72 was incredibly fun to record. After a solid segment with the boys chatting about the NHL’s return next month, Eugene’s new media empire, and Mark Messier’s weed lawsuit, we’re joined by author and Sportsnet contributor Luke Fox to chat about his life in music and media and of course, lots of TML talk.. Luke covers the Leafs for Sportsnet and has had quite the career as a journalist both in sports and music. Thanks for joining us Luke! Don’t forget to grab some last minute stocking stuffers, mugs are available (locally) before Christmas at our website www,gallantmedia.ca/shop (not whatever nonsense Lesco said)
Ep 71 - Figure It Out is basically just an hour long debate over certain topics like who’s to blame for this delay in announcing the upcoming NHL season, which Paul brother is getting knocked out by Evander Kane, which retro jersey is the best/worst, and what is Coley’s embarrassing Christmas fantasy? Thanks for the amazing support! We saw our podcast grow significantly in 2020, and can’t wait to keep bringing you awesome content. Our December guest lineup is pure fire so make sure you are subscribed and keep sharing the podcast! Follow us on Twitter @PuckPod, @Coleman42, @LescoAdam, or drop us a line @realpuckpod.gmail
Ep 70 - Shift Disturber might be our best pod to date. The boys are joined by former NHL agitator and fan favourite Matthew Barnaby to chat about all kinds of things...betting, golf, fighting, the NFL, and more! Matthew lets us know whether his bar game was better on the road or at home, his pick for game 7 goaltender, and who he thinks will come out on top at the Masters this weekend. Garth Snow and Rob Ray also get their nods as well during the interview....we had a great time, hope you enjoy it! Thanks Matthew for joining us and we’ll chat again soon!
Ep 69 - NICE feat. Jake Hahn is our sexiest episode to date. The man-rocket himself joins the show to chat about life in a bubble, shorter seasons, the Leafs offseason and even some golf chatter, with the Masters right around the corner. Always a pleasure chatting with Jake! Before Jake joins the show, the boys are trashing the Coyotes again, discussing politics (ugh), addressing the no-hitting proposal for the OHL, NHL futures, and some Islanders. Oh and a healthy dose of everyone’s favourite team...the Leafs. Don’t forget to subscribe and share the podcast. Really looking forward to next week’s episode...golf heavy with an exciting new guest!
Ep 68 - #ThankYouDoc comes in hot! The boys are firing on all cylinders trying to get through all the important shit that’s gone on in the NHL since Oct 1st. From Arizona’s mess to Chicago’s surprise (?) rebuild, we’re covering lots of news and notes from around the NHL so jump in and get listening! And don’t forget to buy some merch! #Pesky
We are back at it after a long layoff and there was almost too much shit to cover and not enough time so jump in and see what the boys have to say on the playoffs, covid, off season thoughts and where the leafs are headed (PETRO) Back to more regularly scheduled episodes here with some awesome guests coming up, so stay tuned in!
Ep 66 - Post Mortem is basically all leafs. Whether you like them or not, you'll love this episode that features some raw emotions from the boys following yet another disappointing season for their beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Some arguments and some laughs get us through the tough times on this one. Looking forward to getting back on track here with weekly recordings, LEAFS FREE.
The boys return with a quick hit before the puck officially drops for the Stanley Cup Qualifying rounds. We’re recording remotely via Skype, and clothes were apparently optional at Lesco’s office. Jump in for thoughts on some recent (ish) NHL news and notes, and let us know what you think about recording in front of a live studio audience. There's too much to get to since we last recorded, so we're getting back into the groove in preparation for what looks to be a crazy couple of months! Thanks to the dedicated listeners out there. We are fucking stoked to be back in action.
Ep 64 - It's Gonna Work Out is a bit of a tribute to Eugene the Content Machine. More Sens talk, Masterton noms and more in this shorter version of the PuckPod; just to keep the content flowing while we wait for the puck to drop. Enjoy!
Ep 63 - #BlackLivesMatter drops and it was a difficult but necessary recording. The boys get together to offer their thoughts on the racial injustice and police brutality following the murder of George Floyd. Just a couple hockey guys chatting about what's most important at this current time. Thanks for listening and thanks for understanding. Check back in next week for some good ol' hockey talk.
