At Revitalize Kindness we believe that kindness has the power to change the world! In each episode we will explore life with kindness and how we can systematically change our world simply by changing the lens in which we see the world. My hope is to keep kindness at the forefront of our minds and our conversations so that we can change our culture by cultivating kindness within our sphere of influence.

Eat Your Fruit // S3E13 Have you ever heard the expression,"An apple a day will keep the doctor away"? Fruit in many facets of our lives is a good thing. In terms of our spiritual lives, fruit is a great thing especially if that fruit is a gift from the Holy Spirit. In this episode we discuss the Fruit of the Spirit, Kindness! In a world where kindness is rare, as Christians we should acknowledge how the Holy Spirit works within us, growing us to maturity in our faith. Our God is kind (we will take a deep dive into this idea in an upcoming episode) and so as image bearers of our creator, we are to be kind also. However, we live in a sinful world, and let's face it, sometimes being kind is difficult to people that are not kind to us. This is why we need to focus on what thie Spirit can enable us to do which is to be kind and love in the face of adversity.Links:https://www.gotquestions.org/fruit-Holy-Spirit-kindness.htmlConnect:Click to join us in the Revitalize Kindness Podcast Communityhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/219380614872161

This is of God and only because of Him.The bottom line folk, whether we identify this as revival, movement or experience - each one of us need to do our part each day to bring about kindness in this world. We can't do this alone. It is in His power that we will be able to accomplish these things, and so hopefully if anything, we are motivated to do so.Follow God's Word and His example:Psalm 80:19 - Restore us, O Lord God of host! It is difficult for many to equate a good God that allows bad things to happen to a moral being. After all, we spend our lives quoting the familiar verse that says, "For God so loved the world..." In our culture too, we often equate "being good", as a prerequisite for making it into heaven. In this episode we discuss several ways to think through this, as we know this can be a crucial question in life that we will encounter, sooner or later. Tozer once said, "What comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important things about us." This is so true! God's word is! James 3:1 ‘Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment.' — Many today are teaching online and there are many getting their teaching from social media sources — we need to be wise in both area's. Proverbs 12:16 ‘A fool's displeasure is known at once, but whoever ignores an insult is sensible.' — Especially when we speak the name of Christ, sharing the gospel, we may be ridiculed for our faith - we are called to be sensible in the midst of insult.2 Timothy 3:1-9  “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” — Speaking about the state of our world — How do we balance avoidance of ‘such people' and still be a good witness sharing the Good News?Proverbs 18:1 ‘One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound wisdom.' — Social media began our tendency to isolate, the Pandemic solidified it. We need each other as we were created as social creatures that thrive on love and a sense of belonging. If you need prayer or just want to reach out to us:https://www.revitalizekindness.com/contact

Navigating Between Faith and Culture // S2E2 On this episode we join Scott Reavely, pastor and podcaster of the "City on a Hill" podcast in a discussion that we all need to hear. On Scott's podcast they explore what it means to be a citizen of heaven and a citizen of the United States. As Christians we have this dual citizenship that can pull us in apposing directions. We must learn how to navigate well as we encounter a culture that is often hostile to us serving the object of our faith, Jesus Christ. What are some of the top distractions in our culture? Is the answer simple as to how we maneuver through a culture that has the tendency to manipulate us into chasing after what the world has to offer? How are we being discipled... the answer may surprise you!For more on the City on a Hill podcast:https://cityonahillpodcast.comSocial Media for Revitalize Kindness:https://www.facebook.com/RevitalizeKindnesshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/219380614872161To leave a review or just to drop a note:revitalizekindness@gmail.comwww.revitalizekindness.com

What is Unplugged Faith // S02E01 Faith is described in scripture as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) We are generally a people that likes to see it to believe it. As such, our faith can be tested and tried by a multitude of areas in our life, including the ridiculing of our faith by the world we live in. In this episode we cover several ways we as Christians may become “unplugged” from our faith. When we say “unplugged”, we are referring to a situation in ones life, where they have become less confident or less involved in their faith. Our hope is that throughout season 2 we can offer insight and encouragement for those that may have unplugged, but want to get back what they feel they have lost. Our prayer is that our listeners will draw close to the One who offers hope and salvation, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  Below are the topics that are covered in this episode. If your faith needs to be revitalized, these topics may help guide you as to why you unplugged from your faith in the first place:Religion — do we have the right idea when we think about Christianity?Relationship — our relationship with Jesus is most important.Rules — some may view our faith as a religion with a rule book which may deter them truly knowing ChristReserving time — we need to make sure to take time for our faith and not spread ourselves thinReading scripture — but misinterpreting the text, can lead to misunderstandings about our faithRelevance — is our faith relevant in today's cultureReminder -- of God's goodness. We worship the creator of all things!Redefining — our practicing in faith, namely gathering for worship. Non-traditional Christianity. Reclaiming our youth — a very low percentage of our youth have a biblical world view. Check out Yvette Walker's Devotional:https://positivelyjoy.com/books/Great article about what biblical faith is:https://www.gotquestions.org/definition-of-faith.htmlBarna article:https://www.barna.com/research/changing-state-of-the-church/

What is mobile worship? Check out this episode as I speak with Dylan Drye who is making mobile worship a reality for North Carolina. We discuss the importance of worship and what Jesus says about the location of our worship. These events that Dylan is putting together, has sort of three-fold purpose: Gospel Sharing, building community, and fighting depression and other mental disorders that many of us are fighting--sadly, sometimes alone.2020 brought a new surge of mental disorder cases and Dylan is taking on this phenomenon head on by providing an environment that is gospel driven, full of joyful noises, and love for the community! WE NEED THIS IN EVERY CITY AND TOWN!!"93 people surveyed say that suicide is preventable. But the same people that say this aren't wiling to have a conversation, and be vulnerable, and be open, and encourage one another and reach out to one another. So it is like we are saying it is 'preventable', but we are not taking the steps to make it preventable." --Dylan DryeCheck out the official website of this effort which Dylan has called "Heal this Land".healthisland.org

Of course this doesn't make anything magically disappear or change in our lives, just thinking it. We must take action. As we move forward into another year I think it is equally important for us to be true to who we are. Be our authentic selves....Be You. https://www.facebook.com/RevitalizeKindness
