Continue your conflict resolution journey in the second installment of Revitalize and Replant's two-part series. Mark Clifton and Mark Hallock complete Ron Edmondson's seven proven strategies for handling church disputes. Learn how to investigate conflict thoroughly, approach difficult conversations strategically, stay focused on solutions, and practice biblical forgiveness to restore relationships and church health. 5 More Conflict Resolution Strategies 3. Understand the Conflict Discern the real source from the other person's perspective. Don't assume—ask clarifying questions and put yourself in their shoes. Define what's actually at stake before intervening. 4. Find the Right Time and Place Never address conflict when emotions are high, in public spaces (hallways, restaurants, cafes), or without prayer. Wait for the temperature to cool. Choose a private setting days later. Your body language and tone matter as much as your words. 5. Stick to the Issue at Hand Deal with one issue only. Don't unload multiple grievances. When conflicts pile up, sides form, and clarity disappears. Know your limits—refer complex situations, such as marital counseling, to trained professionals. 6. Work Toward a Solution Shift from blame to resolution. Communicate truth with love. Recognize you won't agree on everything—some conflicts don't require consensus to maintain unity in Christ. Your emotional intelligence and calm demeanor lower the temperature. 7. Grant Forgiveness Unforgiveness creates bitterness and robs joy. Forgive as Christ has forgiven you. This frees you personally and opens the door to reconciliation. Without forgiveness, pastors become embittered and ineffective. Gain eternal perspective—this conflict is temporary; unity in eternity is permanent. Newbies host Kaile Garcia discusses sleep tips for new mothers with Carissa Gustafson a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in perinatal mental health. Gustafson shares her own experiences with gestational diabetes, a traumatic first birth involving breech presentation and nuchal cord, and subsequent pregnancy losses before having her second child. The conversation emphasizes sleep as a key factor in postpartum mood regulation, including the importance of “anchor sleep” (about four consecutive hours), creating a sleep plan for mom, and building support through partners, family, night help, or shifts especially when breastfeeding. They cover how anxiety, hypervigilance, and doom scrolling can prevent sleep, when to seek therapy or medication, and practical routines like an hour-long wind-down, avoiding screens, meditation/body scans, journaling, gentle movement, reading, and magnesium lotion. Gustafson offers a free postpartum guide, an online ACT-based course (Reclaim Your Life After Birth), and individual therapy for California residents. Conrad Black reports Prime Minister Mark Carney is under pressure to revitalize Canada's economy 16 months after his election. Despite being a "treasure house" of resources, Canada suffers from lengthy project delays caused by redundant provincial regulations and indigenous land claims. Black notes that Canada's public sector workforce is disproportionately large, representing 12% of the population, and calls for corporate tax cuts to foster competitiveness. While Carney is exploring diversified trade, the U.S. remains Canada's indispensable partner, accounting for roughly 64% of its trade. Carney's political survival depends on achieving the kind of robust growth seen south of the border. (9)
Today, we are taking a deep dive into an intervention that almost every labor and delivery unit in North America has adopted over the last decade: Quantitative Blood Loss, or QBL. ACOG first recommended quantitative blood loss assessment in Committee Opinion Number 794, published in December 2019. This opinion recommended that every birthing facility implement a standardized, quantitative method for measuring cumulative blood loss at all deliveries, replacing visual estimation as the default approach. This built on earlier ACOG efforts, including the 2015 reVITALize initiative, which standardized obstetric data definitions and defined postpartum hemorrhage using cumulative measured blood loss thresholds (≥1,000 mL regardless of delivery route, or blood loss accompanied by signs/symptoms of hypovolemia). We've all weighed sponges, measured calibrated drapes, and run the math. But here's the million-dollar question: Does measuring blood loss accurately, on its own, actually improve outcomes for patients? The answer is YES….and NO at the same time. Listen in for details as we discuss new data (July 2026 in AJOG) on this topic. 1. White A, Burns RN, Pruszynski JE, Ravindra D, Fin KX, Montgomery T, Jestes E, Ambia AM, Anyaehie B, Duryea EL. Conrad Black argues that Canada's economic growth has stalled due to high corporate taxes and "climate alarmist" policies under the Trudeau government. He suggests that new leadership under Mark Carney could revitalize the nation by making it more tax-competitive with the U.S. Canada's vast resources and skilled workforce provide the potential for a rapid rebound. For Canada to succeed, it must pivot back to pro-capitalist policies and attract foreign investment to drive future growth. (16)1945

The episode addressed the heightened challenges MSPs and IT service providers face in client acquisition, with specific reference to a recent Kaseya report indicating that twice as many MSPs describe obtaining new clients as more difficult compared to the previous year. This shift is attributed, in part, to changes in marketing efficacy and the increased reliance on referrals rather than structured marketing strategies. These findings emphasize the need for a consistent, proactive marketing approach—moving beyond informal networks—to counteract periods of slow business and ensure stable revenue. Discussion highlighted that many MSPs lack a formalized marketing plan and treat the absence of active marketing as a matter of pride, despite clear evidence that consistent marketing activities are essential for growth and resilience. According to James Kernan, "marketing is the oxygen of your business," and its absence correlates directly with reduced new business opportunities. Strategies such as recurring in-person or online engagement with clients, regular assessment of marketing practices, and leveraging written marketing plans were identified as actionable recommendations for sustaining pipeline health. A secondary focus examined operational risk and opportunity related to "shadow AI"—unauthorized or unmanaged use of AI tools by clients' staff. Amy Babinchak detailed three core risks: accidental exposure of confidential data, violation of contracts or regulatory requirements, and a lack of auditable records for actions taken by shadow AI tools. The discussion identified practical risk mitigation steps, including staff education, policy development, and implementation of monitoring tools, all of which represent billable opportunities for MSPs while reducing downstream liability in the event of a breach. For technology service providers and decision-makers, the episode underscores the operational imperative of formal, consistent marketing—even during slow periods—as well as the need for vigilant governance over emerging technology risk vectors such as shadow AI. By proactively engaging clients through both marketing and risk education, MSPs can better protect their businesses while expanding stable, recurring revenue streams rooted in demonstrable expertise and accountable service delivery.Title: How do I get more business when it's slow? Why do these pastors choose to remain part of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)? In this episode of the Revitalize & Replant podcast, Mark Clifton, Mark Hallock, and Dan Hurst explain why they value Southern Baptist cooperation and how the SBC helps churches fulfill the Great Commission through missions, theological education, church planting, disaster relief, and local church partnership. In this episode, they discuss the SBC’s: Biblical fidelity and a high view of Scripture Shared commitment to global missions through cooperative giving Disaster relief efforts and commitment to serving communities in crisis Seminaries’ significance in ministry training Local church autonomy and voluntary cooperation Whether you’re exploring the Southern Baptist Convention or simply want to understand why many pastors continue to serve within the SBC, this conversation offers a practical overview of the values that shape Southern Baptist churches and their mission.
What should a pastor do after preaching a sermon that didn’t connect? In this episode of the Revitalize & Replant podcast, Mark Clifton, Mark Hallock, and Dan Hurst discuss how pastors can respond after preaching a sermon that feels like a “pick-six.” Every preacher has messages that don’t land the way they hoped, but one difficult Sunday doesn’t define a lifetime of faithful ministry. In this conversation, you’ll learn: Why the text—not the preacher—deserves the spotlight Why every sermon doesn’t have to be a home run How faithful pastors can recover after a discouraging sermon Why your weaknesses and failures don’t limit God’s work How God’s Word never returns void Why one bad (or even one great) sermon doesn’t define your ministry If you’ve ever left the pulpit feeling discouraged, this episode offers biblical encouragement for pastors committed to faithful preaching, church revitalization, and long-term ministry.

What can a pastor learn during the first few weeks of leading a church replant? In this episode of the Revitalize & Replant podcast, Mark Clifton talks with Dan Hurst about 7 key lessons he’s learned during his first 7 weeks as a church replanter. From navigating church decline to leading with patience and grace, Dan shares practical insights for pastors serving in revitalization and replanting contexts. This episode provides encouragement for church leaders seeking to faithfully guide congregations through change while remaining focused on the mission of God. 7 Lessons from Church Replanting Declining churches often stop doing what once helped them thrive. Hurting people need both truth and a fresh experience of God’s love and grace. Pastors are called to point people toward God, trusting Him to bring change. Sheep don’t follow busy sheep. “They say” is not a reliable measure of congregational reality. The responsibility of redemptive work outweighs personal agendas. A church cannot develop meaningful vision until it understands its mission.

Together, they outline several ways pastors can lead churches toward spiritual renewal and healthier discipleship: Begin with intentional prayer. Strengthen hospitality and care for people. Prioritize discipling men in the church. Focus leadership attention on the church's greatest spiritual needs. Study Scripture intentionally with church members. Lead the congregation toward commitment and renewal. Address ministry needs patiently and faithfully over time. This episode encourages pastors and church leaders not to panic during seasons of decline but instead pursue long-term biblical faithfulness and disciple-making.
