The StumbleWell Podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. From the moment I discovered it, I have been hooked and eagerly awaiting each new episode. This podcast is hosted by Hallease and Mr. Hallease, a married couple who share their honest opinions and perspectives on a variety of topics. Their soothing voices and engaging discussions make it the perfect companion for long days working from home or just looking for some relatable content.
One of the best aspects of The StumbleWell Podcast is the authenticity that shines through in every episode. Hallease and Mr. Hallease are incredibly genuine and open about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. They don't shy away from discussing difficult topics and are refreshingly honest about their own struggles as individuals and as a couple. It's this vulnerability that truly makes their conversations resonate with listeners, as you feel like you're sitting down with friends who are genuinely sharing their lives with you.
Another standout aspect of this podcast is the chemistry between Hallease and Mr. Hallease. Their dynamic is captivating, as they effortlessly bounce off each other's thoughts and ideas. Whether they're diving into deep discussions or simply bantering back and forth, their connection is undeniable. It's clear that they have a strong bond and mutual respect for each other, which adds another layer of enjoyment to the podcast.
While The StumbleWell Podcast has many strengths, there are very few flaws to be found. One minor downside could be that some episodes might not cover topics that resonate with everyone. As with any podcast, personal preferences play a role in what content appeals to individual listeners. However, even if a particular topic doesn't grab your interest initially, it's worth giving it a chance because Hallease and Mr. Hallease have a way of making even unfamiliar subjects engaging.
In conclusion, The StumbleWell Podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone seeking authentic conversations about relationships, life, and everything in between. Hallease and Mr. Hallease have created a podcast that feels like a warm hug, providing a sense of connection and comfort. Their ability to communicate openly, their genuine chemistry, and their relatable content make this podcast a true standout. I cannot recommend it enough and eagerly await each new episode with anticipation.

This episode of the podcast is a dear StumbleWell. Elle and her husband have done a lot together, including moving to a new country. Like Hallease, she's allowing her husband to pursue his dreams while she supports them financially, but is it too much? When is it time to compromise (or give up ) on your dreams for the greater good of the relationship? It's a difficult question to navigate, but two incredibly unqualified people will try to anyway. Is this a simping episode? Maybe. Hallease corners her husband and asks why he hasn't made any catchy videos showcasing their interracial love on the internet. Also, did you know that people of color weren't included in research studies until 1993? The Pope recently went on the record scolding couples who decide to have pets instead of kids. On this episode of the #StumbleWell podcast, we discuss his statements. Full disclosure, Hallease is not catholic and Mr. Hallease is a "cafeteria catholic" at best. We discuss how Pope Francis' comments can be tied back to different ideas around race, gender, and money. If you've watched a few episodes of the podcast then you know we're comfortably child-free currently so we found Pop Francis' comments interesting but also not surprising. We also discuss the bigger struggles of larger institutions as well. Keep it holy in the comments y'all! This StumbleWell podcast was recorded back in June of 2021. After much pushing, Mr. Hallease has officially stepped away from nursing and is now writing full-time. In this episode, we're talking about the process of him leaving nursing and also how our parents responded. We also touch on how this is even possible financially (Adobe Creative Residency) and the inherent privileges that come along with making a big decision like this one. It's interesting to fit into the "people who quit during the pandemic" statistic, especially in this season of "I don't dream of labor." It's been an interesting 2021, to say the least, thanks for sticking with us through it all, and hopefully, we'll have more episodes coming your way soon. Check out the How Does This End? She Divorced Me Because I Left Dishes By The Sink: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/she-divorced-me-i-left-dishes-by-the-sink_b_9055288 In this episode of the StumbleWell podcast, we’re unpacking this essay that was published through their now closed HuffPost Contributor platform. In it, a now divorced man explains why his wife left him for not putting dishes away but obviously it wasn’t about the dishes it was about something more. Mr. Hallease gives his take as a still married man on the topic, and begs the question — did you truly learn the lesson? Hallease tries to give him the benefit of the doubt acknowledging that at least he got to this point of acceptance, which can maybe lead to more growth. Is anything solved by the end of the podcast? Over the past few months, we've been having numerous discussions about leaving the United States to live abroad and the implications of that. Within this broad topic, we cover a lot of themes and questions. For example, what is the difference between an ex-patriot and an immigrant? We discuss our American privilege around leaving and potentially impacting another country's economy. STUMBLEWELL AUDIO SET UP: https://kit.co/Hallease/the-beast-cast FOLLOW US! In 2018, we purchased our first home and long story short, we ended up homeless. We learned a lot from that experience, not only about homeownership but what we each individually want out of life. One of our Patreon producers asked if we would ever purchase a home again and let's just say, even though it's been over a year since we settled our lawsuit the wounds are still fresh. As two people who were both raised in different sects of the Christian faith, we've both had conversations around virginity in marriage. Neither of us was virgins when we met. As the pandemic continues, a lot of you have reached out to us asking how we're doing-especially since Mr. Hallease is a registered nurse. The short answer is, we're figuring it out. The long answer is this podcast episode. In it, we talk about some of the unexpected realizations we've both had during this time. To be honest, we were hesitant to do this episode because everyone is experiencing this pandemic differently. Some of us, are really struggling right now. Maybe you've lost a loved one to the virus (or a few loved ones) or you've been laid off from work and are struggling to make ends meet. Parents have it hard right now with childcare -- as if it wasn't already difficult! Wherever you are on the spectrum of this, we hope and pray that you're able to see the other side of this crisis. Also, everybody please wear a mask. It's a small ask to save lives. There's a lot going on in the world right now. Issa whole lot. We decided to have a candid conversation about our journey as a couple in understanding race and privilege. We really wanted to show that these conversations will inevitably be messy, hard, and uncomfortable -- even when they're rooted in love and a willingness to understand. Also, there is an evolution to understanding and unlearning institutions, and it doesn't happen quickly. Mr. Hallease explains what it was like for him to experience that and how he approaches allyship. All that to say, this episode is a little bit longer than our usual podcast topics, partly because we go off script (sorry) but also because while editing it I wanted to include the awkward pauses, the moments of backtracking, the difficulty of communicating effectively. So that when you find yourself in an awkward but necessary conversation you can know that this is what it is. You're not necessarily doing it wrong. It's just hard.
