It's our 250th episode, and we're celebrating with one of our biggest nostalgia trips yet. Joined by Kalyn and Christian of That's Pretty Dark, we dive headfirst into the weird, hilarious, and occasionally disturbing pop culture that shaped every millennial childhood. Before the game, Trevin debates whether his dogs have declared war on his porch by refusing to poop anywhere else. Amanda returns from Florida after Gatorland finds creative new ways to upsell souvenir photos. Christian shares his own wildlife dilemma as an Alabama black bear keeps terrorizing his home. Kalyn learns the difference between cuticle scissors and clippers. Then it's time for My Childhood Was a Fever Dream, an original trivia game packed with bizarre facts from the '80s and '90s... except one of them is completely made up. Learn the surprising truths behind NASA using Taco Bell tortillas in space, the real meaning of POGs, the scandalous lyrics of the Macarena, AOL's infamous free trial CD campaign, Michael Jackson's reported attempt to buy Marvel, why AT&T accidentally advertised for 1-800-COLLECT, Princess Diana's planned role in The Bodyguard 2, and the voice actress behind The Offspring's "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)." Can our guests spot the fake fact before the final round? Whether you grew up on Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, AOL, Dunkaroos, Marvel comics, or '90s pop culture, this episode is the perfect nostalgic fever dream. Timothy Greisheimer grew up in Ohio before his family moved to Texas — and with his father out of the picture and his mother doing what she could, the streets filled in the gaps before he was old enough to understand what that really meant. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares how teenage robberies and a love for stealing and selling guns led to an eight year sentence in the Texas prison system, what getting sent to a brutal maximum security facility really looked like, and how he made one of the most dangerous decisions available inside those walls — leaving the white gang he ran with and becoming a Blood as a white man inside a Texas max security prison. He navigates the politics the violence and the daily reality of what that decision really cost him before finally getting out, becoming a major meth dealer, spending nearly ten years on the run, getting caught again, and doing another fifteen years in Texas — this time converting to Islam before finishing his sentence as a peckerwood, learning to tattoo, and finally turning his life completely around. _____________________________________________ #texas #TrueCrime #ganglife #prison _____________________________________________ Connect with Timothy Greisheimer: https://www.instagram.com/tattoos_bykriminalkustoms?igsh=ZnQwYW03dWQ4bjN6 _____________________________________________ Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ _____________________________________________ Timestamps: 00:00 Intro & Early Life 01:18 Family Background & Moving 04:18 Trouble in Childhood 06:26 Starting Crime & Identity Search 11:14 Influences & Role Models 13:24 Gang Life & Friend Groups 20:45 First Arrest & Prison Sentence 29:39 Entering Maximum Security Prison 41:52 Navigating Prison Politics 52:02 Switching Sides in Prison 01:04:05 Consequences & Proving Himself 01:23:00 Parole & Getting Out 01:42:59 Returning to the Streets 01:58:38 Climbing the Drug World 02:19:52 Avoiding Law Enforcement 02:35:27 Probation Violation & Back to Prison 03:14:41 Second Prison Bid & Leaving Gangs 03:34:03 Life After Prison 03:52:54 Lessons Learned & Reflections 04:04:39 Advice to the Next Generation _____________________________________________ To advertise on the show, contact sales@advertisecast.com or visit https://advertising.libsyn.com/LockedInWithIanBicka

You Get a Job?""Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)""The Kids Aren't Alright""You're Gonna Go Far, Kid"

**Clay Edwards Show – White Guy FAFO's in Jackson** Clay breaks down the textbook FAFO Championship in South Jackson: 25-year-old Deron Pointer rolled up to a house around 3 AM, got into it with someone inside, and shot the guy in the foot. Instead of counting his blessings and leaving, Pointer came back a few hours later guns blazing, firing multiple shots through the front door before kicking it in. The homeowner lit his ass up. Pointer stumbled out and died on the sidewalk. Unfiltered, no sugar added reality radio at its finest.

If you took that $25 billion and distributed it directly to the workforce = $1,562,500 per employeeAlternatively: They could fund a $100,000 annual salary for 250,000 new people for an entire year.Customers: Netflix has roughly 325 million subscribers globally. If they decided to use that money to subsidize the service instead of buying back stock: $77 per person.Netflix could give every subscriber on the planet roughly 4 to 5 months of service for free.Or, they could lower the price of every subscription by about $6.40 per month for a full year.Social impact:Various estimates (including from HUD) suggest that ending homelessness in the US would cost roughly $20 billion to $30 billion. It could provide a full four-year scholarship (at an average cost of $100k total) to 250,000 students. It could fund the eradication of several neglected tropical diseases or provide clean water infrastructure for tens of millions of people globally. For perspective, the entire annual budget for NASA in 2025 was around $25 billion. Netflix is essentially spending one "National Space Program" worth of cash just to tweak its stock price.Shareholders:If Netflix successfully retires that 6.4% of shares and the market maintains its current valuation, the stock price should mathematically rise by about 7% to compensate for the reduced supply. If the price jumps 7% (from $93 to roughly $99.50), here is the wealth jump:Vanguard: $2.5BBlackRock: $2.1BFidelity: $1.4BReed Hastings: $138MGoodliest of the Week (MM/DR):DR: Lufthansa Cuts 20,000 Flights to Save Fuel Amid Iran War Price SurgeMM: The Onion Says It Has Again Struck a Deal to Take Over InfowarsMM: Texas Capital stays incorporated in Delaware after shareholders reject 'Dexit' voteAre investors waking up??? I have read time and again that those who try to communicate information from spiritual practice are actually recounting direct observation and experience. What's more is that under those conditions it is not possible to use language to communicate the totality of what has been observed or experienced. Walter Russell is a very good example (more...)

The discussion covered a range of topics, beginning with a light-hearted exchange about Halloween celebrations and personal experiences related to local dining establishments. Jeffrey and Brian reminisced about their unique mugs from a local venue, sharing fond memories of the food, beer, and sports atmosphere. They also touched on a recent incident involving a poorly constructed beach ramp in Norfolk, which was intended for emergency vehicle access but was ultimately deemed a waste of taxpayer money due to its ineffective design and subsequent demolition. The conversation shifted to more serious political issues, including the ongoing government shutdown. Kristi Noem criticized Democrats for their role in the situation, while Brian expressed concern about the impact on families, particularly regarding medical bills. They discussed recent legal developments in Virginia related to transgender policies in schools, reflecting on societal changes and the implications of court rulings. Jeffrey and Brian also expressed skepticism about the motivations of lawmakers and the effectiveness of both parties in addressing the shutdown.

The Bangkok Podcast | Conversations on Life in Thailand's Buzzing Capital
Greg and Ed jump on the bandwagon and discuss the recent trend of images of ‘action figures' generated by AI. ChatGPT especially seems quite good at creating semblances of plastic blister packs filled with dolls and accessories that might go along with them. Hence, the guys take a look at 9 different images based on Thai stereotypes before offering images of their own action figures, which AI helpfully created for them. Figures include such classic stereotypes as a ‘Pattaya Old Boy,' a Content Creator in Thailand, a Bar Girl, a Chiang Mai Expat, a White Guy in Pai, etc. The guys go through each image and discuss its strengths and weaknesses, and find a surprising amount of nuance and insight into Thai culture in a few of them. The show ends with each discussing the other's action figure - while Greg's looked like an actual doll (though a particularly ripped one) Ed's looked exactly like Ed - just shrinkwrapped. Listen in to hear what accessories each of their action figures came with. Enjoy! :) Don't forget that Patrons get the ad-free version of the show as well as swag and other perks. We also sometimes post on Facebook, you can contact us on LINE and of course, head to our website (www.bangkokpodcast.com) to find out probably more info than you need to know.
