Don't go in with the mentality that you can just push through the injury. Go get it checked out. It is better to be out for 1-2 weeks compared to being out 1-2 months if you don't treat it correctly. What is up everyone! We are back for another episode of the Joocy Pod, we had to take a little bit of a break, but we are back on the grind. It has been a crazy few weeks since we last recorded. Being busy and stress is a part of life we all deal with it, but how you respond to it that is the important part. In this episode we talk about the importance of prioritizing your training and diet during stressful times. You need to remember to stay on top of your goals, and make sure you're giving yourself that time to train. Even if it is only 45 minutes. Exercise is a great release, you are able to focus on yourself and get away from the craziness for a little. Making time for training is important but staying on your diet is just as or more important too!! When life gets stressful, it's easy to just say lets just do McDonalds for dinner. The food you intake can sometimes fall to the bottom of the priority list when you're busy/stressed. However that is when you start falling off your diet and eating like shit. That's when your energy levels can fall and you won't have the motivation to get up and go to the gym. Make sure you are fueling your body right, it deserves the best. But don't stress if you have a few bad meals here and there. It happens! Always remember.... Be Different. Train Different. You have to remember that, it isn't reality. You can't compare yourself to the people you see on instagram, tik tok, and so on. You have to realize you are on your own fitness journey, and you should be proud of all the progress you're making. Document your daily workouts, meals, etc. It is easy to feel like you don't make progress, fitness goals take time (a slow grind). Welcome back to The Joocy Pod! In this episode I talk about why HIIT cardio is the best for fat loss. One of my favorite benefits of HIIT is that your body will be in the state of burning calories (a lot of them coming from fat) long after a workout. You can burn more calories performing HIIT cardio in half the time compared to steady state cardio. Let's be real cardio is not the most fun thing everyone is looking forward to do. But when you're doing high intensity cardio it's more fun than just sitting on a treadmill for 30-60 minutes. And honestly you're way more gassed after the HIIT compared to the steady state cardio. I like that you have more of a variety of options with high intensity cardio. You have access to more pieces of equipment you can use. Not just a treadmill, stair stepper, or stationary bike. Supplements aid you in supplying your body with the nutrients it doesn't produce naturally or produce enough of. But you still need to have a good and balanced diet.
