With an impressive body of work that encompasses both acting and singing, Gabrielle Christian is quickly emerging as one of Hollywood's most sought after talents. Gabrielle grew up in Maryland where she began performing with local theater groups and in school plays at 12. She landed her first leading television role opposite Kate Bosworth while she was still in high school, a part on the WB’s hit series Young Americans. After studying theater at the University of Pittsburgh, Gabrielle moved to Hollywood where she quickly landed roles on Without a Trace, What Should You Do?, Drake & Josh, Windfall, Numb3rs and CSI: Miami.Gabrielle has also appeared in a number of national television commercials including Time Warner Cable. Gabrielle is most notable for her current role of Spencer Carlin on The N’s hit television series South of Nowhere. Her long-standing role on this award-winning teenage drama turned her into a recognizable face on the small screen. She has played both the lead and supporting characters in several independent films including South of Pico and American Gun. After seeing Gabrielle’s performance on South of Nowhere, critically acclaimed director Angela Robinson contacted Gabrielle and offered her a part in the online webisode series Girltrash. Soon thereafter, Gabrielle was featured in another webisode series entitled 3-Way. Shannon Watts is a mother of five who, prior to founding Moms Demand Action, was a stay-at-home mom and former communications executive. The day after the Sandy Hook tragedy, Shannon started a Facebook group with the message that all Americans can and should do more to reduce gun violence. The online conversation turned into grassroots movement of American mothers fighting for public safety measures that respect the Second Amendment and protect people from gun violence. The word skirt was used as a pejorative word in the 30' and 40's and had a resurgence in the 90's. It is not a common term today but is used in some circles. It still  connotes a label of women as objects in some ways so I have taken the name to transform it into a two hour show of power reusing the name as a form of strength, empowerment as the label not that of an object.

Joining us this Tuesday, October 18, will be Jon Cooper.  Jon Cooper received a B.A. degree from Duke University in 1977.  Since 1978, he has run Spectronics Corporation, a company based in Westbury, NY that is one of the largest manufacturing firms on Long Island.  Spectronics manufactures more than 1,000 products for dozens of diverse markets, primarily in the field of ultraviolet lighting technology. Jon and his husband, Robert, settled in Lloyd Harbor in 1983. They adopted five children, who now range in age from 31 to 21 years old. Jon was elected in November 1999 to the Suffolk County Legislature.  He served in office for 12 years, including six years as the Democratic Majority Leader.  As a result of mandatory term limits, Jon retired from office on January 1, 2012. Jon was honored by the Long Island Press as one of the "50 Most Powerful Long Islanders." In addition, Long Island Business News selected Jon as one of the “Ten Leaders Who Changed Long Island.” Jon was the first elected official in New York State to endorse Barack Obama for President.  During the 2008 election, he served as Obama’s Long Island Campaign Chair and was a member of his National Finance Committee.  In 2012, Jon was Co-Chair for the Tri-State Region of Obama Victory Trustees, a major fundraising arm of the campaign. We are honored to be joined with MJA and Together We Stand in the search of justice for Elizabeth Ann Gill. The show is Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 3:00 CST - 5:00 CST. At 2 years and 10 months old, Elizabeth went missing from her front yard in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 13, 1965.  While the family has an idea of who took Elizabeth, they have not been able to proove anything at this point.  MJA began their investigation in 2012.   There is a strong reason to believe Elizabeth is still alive while many say she stumbled into the Mississippi River. Her first short film was screened at the prestigious Directors Guild of America where it caught the attention of a network executive who gave Brooks her first break. After a decade of directing shows for NBC, ABC, Bravo and MTV, Katherine returned to her love of cinema, directing the highly acclaimed feature film Loving Annabelle. She followed with the feature film, Waking Madison. Katherine was one of the youngest members to be inducted into the Directors Guild of America and is the President of the New Orleans based production company, Big Easy Pictures. Katherine is currently in post production on the feature film, Lost in Time. the story of a woman who was traveling in Thailand when the 2004 tsunami hit. The film stars Jill Hennessy (Crossing Jordan) and Kate Gray.

He now resides in Columbus, Ohio and has grown to be 5'9'', 170 lbs. of pure muscle, jelly beans, and Chicken Vindaloo. Not only that, but he sports hair wavier than the Atlantic Ocean during Hurricane Hemsworth, eyes greener than Willie Nelson's garden, and a single chest hair. He's written twelve books in the past ten years, including five in the LOL at the GOP series. The moment he realized he was wired a bit differently than most, and therefore wanted to become a writer, was when he wrote the story The Talking Pencil in 4th grade. Other accomplishments of his include: Winning a school spelling bee and math competition, memorizing the state capitals at the age of 9, bowling a 270, and tripping over a blade of grass while completely sober and trying to impress a girl. Outside of writing, his other interests include: Long walks on the beach, impersonating mimes while speed dating, moonwalk hurdling, Beethoven karaoke bashes, and speaking jive at old folks homes.
