Today on Too Opinionated, we share a drink with actor/director Ted Lange! After appearing in the film Black Belt Jones in 1974, he portrayed Junior on the series That's My Mama before landing the role of the ship's bartender, Isaac, on The Love Boat in 1977, opposite Gavin MacLeod. In the early 1980s, following a letter of recommendation from Lynn Redgrave (whom he met on an episode of The Love Boat), Lange attended a summer school at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to perfect his Shakespeare acting skills. After he left the show in 1987, Lange appeared in various films and in guest roles on 227, In the Heat of the Night, Evening Shade, Boy Meets World, The King of Queens, Scrubs, Drake & Josh, Psych, The Cleveland Show, and Are We There Yet?. Ted's classical background as well as his years before the camera have enabled him to become known as an actor's director inspiring not only emotional but also comedic scenes. His four-camera directing expertise includes sixty episodes for Entertainment Studios', The First Family and Mr. Box Office, and twelve episodes of Are We There Yet?, for Executive Producer, Ali Leroi. His one-camera directing experience is showcased in the independent films, Othello and For Love of Amy as well as the one-camera television comedies, The New Gidget and The Brothers Garcia for Universal. The Fall Guy and Mike Hammer exemplify his directorial work in action shows.   Want to watch: Youtube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Text Hawk to 66866 for "Mindful Monday" Full show notes at www.LearningLeader.com Twitter/IG: @RyanHawk12    https://twitter.com/RyanHawk12 Josh Peck is an actor, comedian, author, entrepreneur, and YouTuber. He began his career as a child actor in the late 1990s and early 2000s and had an early role on The Amanda Show from 2000 to 2002. Josh rose to prominence for his role as Josh Nichols alongside Drake Bell's character in the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh. Josh Peck provided the voice of Eddie in the Ice Age franchise since Ice Age: The Meltdown and voiced Casey Jones in the Nickelodeon animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also starred with John Stamos in the Fox comedy series Grandfathered. In 2017, Josh started a comedic lifestyle YouTube channel, Shua Vlogs, featuring his wife Paige O'Brien, David Dobrik, and many of the vlogsquad members. His new book is called Happy People Are Annoying. Notes: "Do good things and don't get caught doing them." Be of service to others. It seems when we focus on doing good things, good things seem to happen. When Josh was 8 years old, he felt powerless, insecure, and uncomfortable. He was having a family dinner during the holidays... He decided to commit fully to telling a joke. And he earned his first real laugh from his family. At that moment he said, "I decided what I wanted to do with my life." He became a stand-up comedian and eventually an actor. "Laughing is uncontrollable. It's so honest." How to add humor to your business meetings? "The only thing more compelling than a joke is honest vulnerability. Being willing to call yourself. Be human." That vulnerability will bring people closer to you. The power of listening: It helps you constantly make adjustments. Be open, free in the moment. Humor, acting, or leadership... All of those are acquired skills. You have to have the willingness to be bad at it first to get good at it later. Using a chip on your shoulder as motivation? It can work in the short term but doesn't typically work in the long term. "It was the wrong fuel for my engine." "You gotta ask:" When he was 12 years old, he found himself on set telling jokes to an older man. He was cracking the guy up. He didn't realize that person was the President of Nickelodeon. Josh then asked him to be on one of the hit Nickelodeon shows. He eventually got a call that changed his life. After that call, Josh and his mom moved to Los Angeles where he's worked as an actor ever since. You have to be willing to ask. You have to be willing to face rejection or embarrassment. Aaron Sorkin said you can make the hall of fame in baseball striking out 2 out of 3 times. The same is true in life. One of the first people Josh called when he was launching his podcast was Bob Saget. Bob was one of the more famous people he knew. And he immediately responded and said he would record the following week. There are hundreds of stories like this about him. We all should be more like him. Ryan Holiday advice - Get really honest and tell your story. Your journey can help other people. As a dad, Josh wants to correct the trauma of the past... He never met his dad. "Do good things and don't get caught doing them." Be in service of others.

The Sober Mom Squad is just as it sounds: A Squad of Moms who are already sober, those who are just dipping their toes in exploring an alcohol free lifestyle, and everything in between! It was my pleasure having the entire squad on the pod. What an honor! Listen for all things mommy wine culture, holiday advice and best of the show…. WHO IS ON THE NAUGHTY LIST? No topic was off limits and the squad was a delightful mix of intelligent, fierce, pretty funny mommas. “This group was started during the COVID pandemic from an instagram post by the founder, Emily Lynn Paulson, asking how she could be of service to her audience. Jen Elizabeth, Michelle Smith, Celeste Yvonne and Jessica Landon immediately answered the call, and the Sober Mom Squad was born! As mothers, we need to connect, share experiences, share expertise, hear stories, and tell our own.  We need to know that we are not alone, and we need to feel that we are in a safe environment away from judgement and stigma. So, we started hosting a weekly free virtual meeting over zoom, discussing all things motherhood, the trials of suddenly homeschooling, the new dynamics of home life, and doing it all without "mommy juice." We found that this community filled a need that had never been filled before, so we expanded it to help even more women. Women, just like you, who are inundated with wine memes and spiked seltzer ads, yet demand MORE for yourself and your families. Women like you, who don't want their kids to grow up with a mom who needs wine to survive them. The five of us have very different backgrounds, live in different states, come from different walks of life, have different areas of expertise and training, and have different sobriety journeys. Our kids range in age from infant to 16 years old. The thing we have in common is a desire to raise children in homes where alcohol is not the focus. Our common goal is to help other women do the same thing.” – Sober Mom Squad MEET THE SQUAD: Emily Paulson: Emily is a writer, speaker, Certified Naked Mind Coach. She Recovers Designated Coach, and a member of the long-term recovery community. Sober since January 2, 2017, she has appeared on media outlets including The Doctors, Parade, Today Parents, and USA Today, discussing how to end the shame and stigma of mental health and substance abuse. On this edition of Parallax Views, Robin Syndey has been acting since her childhood and has appeared in all kinds of media including the Nickelodeon kids TV series Drake & Josh, the long running soap opera ER, and the National Lampoon comedy Cattle Call, but she is perhaps best known for having achieved the relatively elusive status of horror movie known as the "Scream Queen". Scream Queens have been a pop culture trope since the early days of Hollywood when Fay Wray shrieked in terror as she was whisked away by the mighty King Kong (1993). From Janet Leigh in PSYCHO (1960) to her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis in John Carptner's Halloween (1978) and its sequels, the image of the Scream Queen has left a lasting impression on the popular culture landscape that carries on to this very day. Truth be told, however, the pantheon of Scream Queens is actually a somewhat exclusive club, but Robin Sydney has more than earned the monikerRobin's status as a "Scream Queen" is no doubt in large part due to her longstanding relationship with Charles Band's Full Moon Features, an independent movie studio specializing in her horror, fantasy, and sci-fi romps. Since starring as the female lead opposite a maniacal killer cookie voiced by Gary Busey in the notorious horror/comedy romp THE GINGERDEAD MAN (2005), Robin has appeared in a number of Full Moon efforts including THE HAUNTED CASINO, SKULLHEADS, and the outrageous, 8-movies-and-counting EVIL BONG franchise to name but a few. And outside of Full Moon Features Robin has appeared in such chillers as the the psychological serial killer thriller THE LOST (2006) and the cheeky witchcraft-themed splatter-punk feature WICKED LAKE (2008).Most recently, Robin has resumed her work with Full Moon Features by way of her participation in a new series of mashed-up/remixed movies following the exploit of social distancing duo Barbie (Cody Renee Cameron) and Kendra (Robin Sydney) as they attempt to stave off boredom during the coronavirus pandemic. The first movie, Corona Zombies, was produced and released just weeks after coronavirus made lockdowns and social distancing the New Normal across the world. Yes, that's right, Full Moon Features, under the ever creative guidance of its head honcho Charles Band, found a way to continue making movies through the pandemic. And now Full Moon has followed up Corona Zombies with the timely Barbie and Kendra Save The Tiger King. Robin joins us to discuss these two new movies that some have jokingly referred to as "Corona-sploitation" as well as various thought and stories from career as an actress. Ever wondered what it's like to work with Hollywood eccentrics like Gary Busey or Andy Dick? Or asked yourself, "What's it like filming a nude scene? Is it uncomfortable?" Scream Queen Robin Sydney tells all in this wide-ranging and fascinating conversation. Oh, and there's even a surprise cameo from a special guest courtesy of Robin a bit later on in the conversation. All that and much more on this edition of Parallax Views. Note: Lengthy intro for the horror newbies. Jessica Landon Recovery Bio "As an actor and comedian, I have appeared on Comedy Central’s MADtv, Robot Chicken, Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, and NBC’s Medical Investigations. I partied with Hugh Hefner, appeared in glossy magazines and created the appearance of having a glamorous life. It all came at a cost. A few years into my acting career I spiraled into a late stage, nonfunctioning alcoholic My harrowing journey has led me to numerous rehabs, mental institutions, the streets, homes and beds of sexual predators, and jail. Ultimately, my addiction left me with a brain hemorrhage and multiple organ failure as a result of lying in one spot of a street musician’s filthy rug for a month, as acid from my urine burned holes through my skin. When I was admitted to the hospital, I weighed 78 pounds, had a blood alcohol level of .503, and a rampant  blood staph infection. I was told by my doctor I wouldn’t have survived the night without medical intervention. After surviving so many tussles with death, the pain associated with drinking finally eclipsed the memory of pleasure, and I was finally able to give up alcohol, fully embracing a life of forgiveness, gratitude, love, and sobriety. I just finished writing my memoir HUMAN ON FIRE which you will be able to purchase on my website HUMANONFIRE.COM in the near future." Follow Jessica for more inspiration and laughter! As a young girl growing up in East Cleveland, Ohio, Brown dreamed of a career on stage and screen. She began her entertainment career as a vocalist while still in her teens, when after an impromptu audition for Michael Bivins (New Edition; Bell Biv DeVoe) she was signed to Motown Records as a part of the East Coast Family, a group of new talents that included Boyz II Men. Brown was featured on the Motown album, The East Coast Family Vol.1, which included the Top 20 single, "1-4-All-4-1." As a part of the East Coast Family, Brown appeared on MTV, Showtime at the Apollo, Vh1 and BET, while simultaneously completing coursework that led to a bachelor of fine & applied arts degree from the University of Akron. Following graduation, she packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles. In just a short time, Brown has emerged as one of the most sought-after character actresses in Hollywood, highlighted by memorable appearances on numerous hit TV shows, including: "House," "Entourage," "The Office," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Two and a Half Men," "Malcolm in the Middle," "7th Heaven," "Fat Actress," "Til Death," "That's So Raven," "Rules of Engagement," "Privileged" and "That 70s Show" among others. In addition, she has had recurring roles on "Boston Legal," "Girlfriends," "Sleeper Cell," "Half & Half" and "Drake & Josh." She also was a series regular on "The Big House."
