My house and a few weird things in it So I have a area in my house where my dog does not like to go near. I put up a gate and when I take it down he runs away, also a few nights ago I heard knocking in the bathroom but nobody in there. I also see a ton of things out of place or just weird in general. WSIB if I liked Destiny 2 I was really into Destiny 2, but after taking a year break I am not enjoying the game anymore as they removed a lot of my favorite content and I wasnt liking the direction it was going. Now it feels very money grabbing and time wasting. I hate the pay to win aspect of it and it feels like the grind is not worth anymore. I am looking to get grinding into a new multiplayer game on PC. I dont care if its a first person shooter or a fantasy game or whatever, but I am looking specifically at something with deep customization and leveling up and somewhat open world (so not games like Ranibow Six Siege or Apex Legends). I like games with inventory management, crafting and looting mechanics, but also with good challenge and a chance of showing off your gear and stats online. Right now am trying to decide between the following, but if anyone has any better suggestions let me know: - Monster Hunter World - The Division 2 - Anthem I am leaning heavily towards Monster Hunter. I heard Anthem was a flop but it looks cool and quite similar to Destiny 2. The Enclave obviously consider themselves as americans, but what about the rest of the wastelanders, or the NCR citizens. Do some wastelander simply believe that they don't belong to any country at all, that they simply live and everything around them is wasteland regardless of what country it used to be before? Is Gunslinging a Martial Art? I’ve had this discussion before with my friends. If sports like Kendo (where a weapon is used), Judo (where the aim is more or less throw your opponent to the ground), and Archery are martial arts, how come Gunslinging is counted amount them? It takes years of training to perfect the techniques necessary to participate and has a long history (this is not necessary for a martial art, but is still notable imo). Weird Experience I was on my phone in bed the other night, and I dropped it. Being too lazy to get up, I leaned over to the ground to get it (top half of body leaned off bed, bottom half on bed). I was just viscously moving my hand across the floor to find it (it was pitch black), finally did and grabbed it, and just as I was about to pull myself back into my bed. As clear as day a voice very loudly in my right ear, went "NIGHT". I quickly got back in my bed and hated life. Roomate's cousin, let's not meet ever again. I don't know how long he was in my bed or why he was there. All I know is that he woke me up with a kiss, which I promptly wiped off with my hand. I was fully clothed, which hinted to me nothing had happened but the buttons on my pants were undone. I don't know if they were undone the whole time, or if he undid them. Under the sheets I could see that my shirt was pushed up so he could put his hands on my waist and hold me close to him. I moved his hands off and he went back to sleep. I sat up in shock, and caught a glimpse of his face. I asked him "What are you doing?" and he yawned and said "Resting." I brought out my hands and tightened them into fists. I was ready to defend myself and at that moment he said "Okay, I'll leave." and walked out of my room. I was so overcome with horror that I pushed my dresser up to my door to make sure he couldn't come back in. I immediately took a shower and was relieved that nothing worse had happened to me...to my knowledge. After all I'd gone to bed at 11 and when I found him in my bed it was 5AM. I had a weird dream that night too. In that dream I lived in a zoo and the zookeeper deliberately let every animal out of the cage so they would roam free. One of those animals was a tiger and when it saw me it immediately started trying to eat me so I fought back. I was wrestling it. Then I lost and as the tiger had me pinned down it started licking me and that was when I woke up. To him kissing me. In my drunken stupor, I was fighting him. Edit: Thank you for trying to help me but this happened last September. There's not much I can do about it now. r/Letsnotmeet The creepy man who followed and stared at kids in a bowling alley This story includes me (14), my brother (16), my sister (8), my brother (6), and our dad. We were going to a bowling alley to bowl. Our dad parked the car and my siblings got out. I looked outside from the window on my right and noticed a man. He looked to be about 30, he had messy brown hair, he was chubby and he was standing next to a parked car looking at us. I just assumed that he was waiting for us to leave so he can drive away but when I got out of our car and started walking towards the bowling alley with my family the man followed us. This was when I realized that this dude was weird. When we were entering the building our dad opened the door and I looked at the guy. He was staring at my younger sister and brother and smiling. Inside the building we walked to the ticket booth and my dad started buying the tickets. I looked back and the guy stopped and started fiddling with an 8 ball pool table. He was obviously trying to act like he wasn't following us. After my dad had bought the tickets we started walking towards our bowling spot. Then my dad noticed that the guy was still following us and stopped and looked at the guy. The guy realized that he'd been caught and he walked past us. We waited for about 20 seconds and then we continued walking. When we got to our bowling spot I noticed that the creepy guy was staring at a boy and a girl (Both of them were about 13-14) who were bowling together. The creepy guy continued staring for a few minutes and then he left. By fallenprincealastor Do you believe there's a line where adding too much fantasy into your story will ruin the horror? Serious question, i have a lot of ideas regarding monsters for my stories, I'm currently working on a story where a young college student steals a treasure from a powerful dead witch, instead of killing him she threatens to send 13 horrors to reclaim her treasures from him if he doesn't comply, while at first he doesn't believe her, she sends the first which is shown to be a lightning elemental and what truly terrifies him is that with each monster encounter his entire town gets frozen in suspended animation and he can't leave town, meaning he must fight each horror on his own. After I began writing this story I started to wonder if maybe adding so much fantasy in the story would ruin it's power of fear and being scary. Ends up being this lady walked up to my car at like 3am with a bucket. She was obviously homeless and probably on drugs. When the camera light turned on she yelled I brought you some chicken and left the bucket on the ground by my car. r/MMA Hey all, With PED detection efforts being at an all-time high under USADA regulation, I think it's a good time to discuss historical PED use in MMA and how much of a black mark (if any) that it causes in your eyes when looking back at fighter's careers (whether the known PED use is from a positive failed test or just glaringly obvious abuse). For purposes of this discussion I've divided the short history of MMA into 5 different categories of competition based on testing efforts: - Early UFC days (1993 - 2002). Although no PED tests were taking place at this time, as the sport was becoming regulated under local athletic commissions PED use was banned as a matter of policy. - PRIDE era (1997 - 2007). Overlapping with some of the UFC categories below but important to include. No PED tests (with the exception of the 2 Las Vegas events), and in fact PED use was encouraged. - Early UFC modernization (2002 - 2009) The first PED tests and failures took place in 2002 and random fight night sampling was becoming commonplace. Suspensions were commonly 6 months to 1 year. - Pre-modern UFC (2009 - 2015) The first random tests and failures for upcoming scheduled fights took place in 2009, and this practice was taken up by many commissions. Almost all athletic commissions have adopted fight-night testing and the UFC was performing testing for events with no athletic commissions. Suspensions were typically 9 months to 1.5 years. - Modern UFC (2015 - present) The UFC partnered with USADA to implement a robust year-round random testing program for all fighters, including out-of-competition tests. Suspensions vary based on many factors including potency of the PED detected, amount detected, intent (or lack thereof), and if the fighter is a repeat offender. Suspension for a standard PED without proof of being accidental for a first time offender is typically 2 years, but suspension length has varied from 3 months to a lifetime ban. I've divided by era above for purposes of including the risk/reward factor of a fighter using PEDs during each time period as I believe this is a very relevant factor (though it may not be in some of your eyes). Give me your thoughts on PED use and how much this discredits fighters' accomplishments, any and all input is appreciated! This was in a major city but I figured they would send me to some factory and I wouldn't have to worry about much. Nope they sent me to a low income high crime housing community. When I showed up it was 6pm on a Friday and the housing manager had a list of rules that were to be strictly enforced including, no drinking outside, no playing in the streets no bbqing in any form or fashion. So here I am the only white kid in miles expected to keep the streets safe. So I decided to roll into the community and see what's up. The best way to describe what I saw would be the jungle from that movie Training day. Everyone was out drinking playing in the streets cooking food. So what did I do ? What anyone would have done really I think. I got out of my car and asked if I could play ball with them. I had some of the best BBQ and drank some beers. r/bodybuilding. Why I hate steroids!!! (Rant) Ok so firstly I'm still a bit butthurt so please understand I hold a bias against the juice at the moment. I've been training for about 3 years now, I train for strength but consider myself a bodybuilder more than a powerlifter. My friend and training partner who got me into the gym (let's call him 'Josh'), yesterday admitted to me that he is on steroids. Before this I had no problem with juicing, while considering it cheating I understood the benefits and the reason as to why people would do it. However I never saw the use of it for me, and took it personally whenever people would say I was on steroids (I get up at 4:30AM, eat shit tasting food and don't drink, to get where I am now and I'm not that fucken big). When 'Josh' told me about his use it really pissed me off, I never felt as though he trained as hard, ate as well or was as motivated as I was, yet he was always getting bigger and stronger and telling me what I was doing wrong. Yet he would miss workouts, leave early, eat fast food, drink booze and if you told him he was doing something wrong his response would be 'but I'm bigger and stronger than you'. Josh always denied using roids and I always stood up for him as I trained with him and saw the work and effort he put in, I was convinced he would tell me if he was juicing. Now my issue is that I know people who use roids can be bigger than me and not work as hard, yet I then get accused of juicing. I feel as though that takes away from the effort and motivation I have to improve my body. People who juice can not work as hard, not eat as well, have a better body than me and just deny the use then tell people who are natty what to do. While I understand why people deny using steroids, it annoys me as they then want to give people who are natty advice as to how to get bigger. I know some people who juice work harder than me and eat right but it annoys me that there are people at my gym who use roids walking around the gym giving advice as though they are natty and are bigger than everyone because they work harder, yet it's the fucken needle in their leg that makes them that big. Hope people agree with me on this, but if you don't, feel free to tell me to go fuck myself and why. He walks up to us and quietly asks "How high are you?" And I swear on Snoop Dogg, RAW rolling papers, and Cali buds, my friend replied "It's actually pronounced, Hi how are you?" Sherdogforums/You might recall, before the fight, Ali predicted Tony would be one of Khabib's easiest fights, due to his lack of physical body strength, that and how he was easy to take down. Although the fight never happened, I said previously that Khabib could could have actually beat Tony standing ... let alone maul TH out of him on the floor. Regardless, Tony's last two wins were not impressive ... he just faced two multi-losing, multi-quitting "fighters" (Pettis / Cowboy) ... struggling in the first round with both. Anyone who thinks Tony has a shot at dethroning Khabib is stoned. He is good at beating "average" fighters, who have "nothing special" in their arsenal. (Don't hit hard, are not master grapplers.) But Tony does not have the striking skill to beat a seriously-good striker, like Justin (Dustin / Conor), and he doesn't have the body strength to deal with a master grappler like Khabib. r/paranormal Why is it so hard to catch paranormal activity on camera? I've been fascinated by the paranormal for as long as I can remember. I am a believer of the paranormal and I just have one question that I would like to get others opinion on. I am curious why others think why is it so hard to catch paranormal activity on camera? It seems to me that the spirits are actively trying to avoid detection. Why is this? I have seen a lot of online videos of the paranormal and 99% of those are at night / dark. Why is that? Why are some EVP's heard "live" during the ghost hunt while others can only be heard during the audio playback? I am not trying to say that paranormal is not real in fact just the opposite. r/ drugs Did my new-ish dealer get caught and am I screwed? I'll keep it short. Started seeing this dealer about a month or two ago, met him through mutual friends. He's super lax in a way that's made me really skeptical about going back to him after the 3 times I've picked up. Lax as in, totally carefree incriminating language in his texts, accepts fucking PAYPAL and ZELLE? Prefers cash but like...still. Shit makes me nervous. I would have thought he was a narc if it wasn't for the mutual friends who can vouch for at least over a year of his service. Anyway so I text him today saying "are you around tmrw" and I get a reply of "who is this". Made me a bit nervous. Either he was busted, or he wiped his phone. Is it normal for dealers to wipe their phone and contacts? I've bought from him 3 times. Was about 150 bucks worth of vyvanse each of those times and nothing else, even though he sells pretty much anything and everything (also another reason I was a bit skeptical of him). I didn't respond to the "who is this" text. But I'm worried I'll be pulled into the mud if he got caught or something. Feeling hella stupid. I know better than this. r/horror The long 15 It was a cold winters night I was driving through Utah on a huge semi truck. I was assigned to deliver a bunch of crates, I have no idea what’s in the crates but they were heavy as hell. As I was driving through i15 I see a women beside the road I quickly pass her. I thought “it was none of my business and she wasn’t trying to catch a ride she didn’t have her thumb up but maybe I should have stopped. 2 hours later he sees the women again this time with her thumb up. I pull over and offer the women a ride when she goes dashing out in the desert. I quickly grab my 12 gage (lots of wild dogs that were known to attack people) after I catch up with the women I froze. She looked like she was carrying a cut off head of a baby. I thought it was a doll at first but it dripped blood. I then held up my shotgun to the women and yell “WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!”. She then unhinged her jaw to reveal the baby’s body inside her mouth. I could still see all the veins and sinew dangling off of it. Her hands became skinnier to the point where they were blades she ran at me faster than a wolf could at full speed luckily I was a quick trigger finger. I blew her head clean off and then ran back to the truck, I sat their for a moment, gun still in hand then her hand struck the window and her fingers scraped the glass when I finally drove off at full speed. I stopped at a truck stop a hundred miles away. I later learned that a women and her baby where stranded out in the desert and the women ate her baby out of desperation to survive. r/ steriods Depression & Steriods Two years ago I was really fit, dare I say jacked & shredded and I've been natty my whole life (my family is Polynesian so I have great genetics for this sort of thing), but for the last year or so I've been suffering from clinical depression. I'm in my early twenties, but within the year I managed to end a long time relationship with my girl, lose my sales job, and just spiral out of control. It feels like I walk around with a weighted blanket all day and I came to the conclusion it's probably a drop in my **testosterone**. I think this because when I was a **gym rat** I felt like a million bucks and was super confident. My question is, has anyone taken steroids and seen a boost in their mental side? Like in terms of confidence and energy? I have been looking online and think I want to do an 8-week cycle of Test Cyp with Clomid at the end to regulate everything. Any advice would be awesome, thanks.
