A model goes missing, a famous fashion designer's designs are stolen and there are more aliases in this book than you can shake a stick at! (You all know how I feel about those!) *Content Warning: I also did want to add a content warning for this episode; this book primarily takes place in a fashion world setting, so of course, there are a lot of disordered ideas about eating and body shaming in this one, which was unfortunate.*

Hi again, True Drews! For this week's episode, we dive back into the Nancy Drew computer games to discuss game #4 Treasure in the Royal Tower! This game, and the book it is based off of (#128 Treasure in the Royal Tower) are fantastic! Nancy goes to Wisconsin on vacation and quickly finds herself wrapped up in another mystery at Wickford Castle. Someone has vandalized the library! What are they after? And does it have something to do with a tower of the castle that was imported from France and has ties to Marie Antoinette? Tune in to find out! (P.S. The book and game are very similar and I can't wait to tackle the book at a later date on the podcast! It's so good! One of my favorites.)
Hello, True Drews! For today's episode, we discuss and compare the original text for The Bungalow Mystery to the revised text we read earlier in the podcast! Nancy Drew and Helen Corning encounter Laura Pendleton, a girl who has recently lost her parents, and has found herself in an abusive foster parent situation. Does Jacob Aborn intend to try and steal her inheritance away from her? Tune in to find out and I hope you enjoy this episode! (P.S. For being written so long ago--in 1930--this book was surprisingly unproblematic!)
Hello, True Drews! For today's episode, we discuss the original text for The Hidden Staircase! Nancy gets her next mystery, not from Helen Corning, but from Abigail Rowen, someone she helped in her previous mystery, The Secret of the Old Clock! Floretta and Rosemary Turnbull are continuously being plagued by strange noises, things are being stolen and they think their house is haunted! Also, an unsavory character, Nathan Gombet lurks in the wings. Will Nancy Drew solve the case? Tune in to find out and I hope you enjoy this episode! *Content Warning: The book we are discussing for today's episode was written in 1930, nearly 100 years ago. For that reason, there are some things that may be viewed as culturally insensitive and inappropriate today, such as teenagers having guns and unfair depictions of different races.*
Hello, True Drews! You asked, I delivered! For today's episode, we discuss the original text 1930's version of The Secret of the Old Clock, the first book in the Nancy Drew series. *Content Warning: This book was written in the 1930's, a time where, culturally, the world was vastly different. There are references to alcohol, guns, rape, The Great Depression and there is a character of African American descent who is talked about in an unfavorable manner. I have tried to talk about these issues in the least offensive way I know how to in this episode. However, they are things that are clearly mentioned in this book and I think we owe it to past generations to discuss. If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, this may be an episode you wish to skip.*
Hi, True Drews! I hope you are ready for this crazy episode! For this one, we are discussing the 56th book in the series, The Thirteenth Pearl! A hateful neighbor, a mysterious boy and an artist in Italy all end up having connections in this mystery! I hope you all enjoy this episode! *Content Warning: This mystery takes place primarily at a sheep slaughtering farm. I don't go into extensive detail on that, but if that bothers you, this might be an episode to skip!*
Hello, True Drews! In this episode, we discuss book #53 The Sky Phantom! Nancy learns to fly planes, Bess falls in love with a cowboy, and there are strange magnetic clouds and plots of revolution! This was an odd book and we'll talk all about it in this episode! *Also, the explicit warning is because there may have been a reference to flight apparatus and appendages. Hi, True Drews! Come along with me as we discuss the 52nd book in the series, The Secret of the Forgotten City! And here is the link to my True Drew Podcast/Nancy Drew Merch Shop! https://true-drew-podcast.printify.me/products *Content Warning: There are some offensive things done to Native American remains in this book, along with jokes about the culture. There is also a word that is very offensive to members of the gay community. The word has changed its meaning over the years and originally meant "a bundle of twigs", which is how it is used in this book, but I just wanted to let people know!*

We can't escape that, even in the short stories, it would seem!*
Hi, True Drews! Well, today, we are going to discuss one of the most unhinged Nancy Drew mysteries in the original 56 books, #48 The Crooked Banister. Nancy and Carson set out to solve a case involving some of his clients, the Melodys, who were sold a piece of property that turns out to be a Native American reservation. They also figure out that a man named Rawley Banister is involved in this scam and he has the craziest house I've ever heard of. (There are robots, poison, trap doors, a fiery moat...you get the picture.) Nancy and Carson have to solve who is also behind exploiting Native American children on the reservation. This is a very WEIRD book. *TRIGGER WARNING: A group of Native American people are exploited very unfairly in this book, which I did not like!*
