“The Harvest” in John 4:34-38 is a chapter of surprises. The woman at the well surprised that Jesus spoke to her. The woman surprised at all Jesus knew about her. The people in the city surprised at the testimony of the woman even the disciples were surprised that Jesus was not hungry. Surprises Jesus announced concerning a Great Harvest. A great harvest of souls is ready. Good pay is offered to reapers. Today I want to share what every believer needs to know about the Harvest!
“Why the Manger Instead of a Mansion?” Todays message from Luke 2:7. There night of miracles was unfolding. First the taxing was a miracle, then the trip to Bethlehem was another miracle (Micah 5:2). We can't forget the timing of the birth was yet another miracle (Gal. 4:4-5). Now we have the miracle and the manger “Jesus”. Have you wondered why Christ was laid in a manger? Why not a mansion? Today we will examine this and we pray your answers will be answered.
Today's message “Mary's Discoveries” found in Luke 1:26-38. We see from Malachi to Matthew some 300 years that it was a quiet time. Then a flurry of Angelic activity. The world enters a time of swift prophetic fulfillment. The appearance of Gabriel to Mary. This take place in Galilee, in the city of Nazareth (v.26) “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,” Mary is a virgin awaiting her marriage to Joseph (v.27) To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. What Mary discovered in this encounter with the Angel. I pray this message will move your heart closer to His.
“Free At Last” In Mark 5:1-20 we read about a demon-possessed man who made his home in the cemetery. It all takes place when Jesus and His disciples leave the multitude cross the Sea of Galilee. While crossing the Sea of Galilee (4:35-41). There came a great storm; and of course the disciples were unsure of their fait as being fishermen they knew a storm like this could take their very lives. Jesus then speaks to the storm. “Peace Be Still” (4:39) …the amazement of those in the ship crossing over when the storm came “Not uncommon” the amazing was Jesus speaking to the wind and waves…and they did as He said! Once they reached the other shore they Met the demon-possessed man of gadarenes. Now meeting the demon-possessed man of Gadarenes. It is not far from peace to problems…Amen…life is a roller coaster many ups and downs, twists, and turns…and when its over your head is spinning. The storm prepared them form this encounter…you know the storms you face from time to time prepare you for encounters you have yet to go through… I trust todays message will encourage you in your storm.
“Feeding Hungry People” we find in John 6:1-14 A miracles to the multitude. Many followed Jesus to see His miracles. People especially moved by His power to heal. The importance of taking time away from the crowd. A questions arose when the crowd approached again. Where can we buy food for all these people? How shall we feed this hungry crowd? When facing problems, remember His power. Problems come to all no one excluded. Little is much when given to Jesus. Andrew finds a boy. Some focus on problems; while others find people with solutions. We must be willing to obey before we are ready to Blessed “Make the men sit down”. How humbling this sitting and waiting. Nothing disorganized about Jesus.
In Mark 3:1-6 Jesus tells us about a man with a withered hand. Before this we see Jesus disciples picking corn on the Sabbath. Mark 2:23-28. We see the criticism by the Pharisees because this was wrong in their eyes see no one was to any kind of work on the Sabbath. The scripture tells us Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Now its on to the Synagogue to make the message plain. There Jesus will meet and heal a troubled man and He will do so in spite of the consequences to Himself. You see Jesus has many lessons for us the unique thing is Jesus has gone through things we are going through now.
David the Psalmist in Psalm 92:1 says; (A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: Many calls to praise in the Psalms. It is full of invitations to join praise: The superiority of praise. You will find it better to praise than panic, we even find its better to praise than be to pessimistic and better to praise than to be problem-conscious. Todays message we will examine these calls to praise.
Paul talks about Communion in 1 Corinthians 11:23-34. What Communion is all about. The first Communion service in 1 Corinthians (verses.23-25). Sharing bread and fruit of the vine, Bread: symbol of His body, Fruit of the vine: symbol of His blood. I want you to know what Communion is not. It is not a means of salvation, It is not a meaningless formal ceremony. The Lord's Table: A place to leave some useless things. Ask yourself what do you need to leave with the Lord.
In Acts 11:19-26 Paul shares all about believers receiving a New Name: Christians. It began at Antioch, a Greek city. How did it happen? …this is what I want us to look at and explore how this fits into our lives …Now many of you have seen the insurance commercial where the man says there are the three P's: Price, Price, and Price. Four Words Tell The Story and like the insurance commercial that all start with you guessed it the P's…Persecution…Preaching…Power…Proof. We Have to Follow This Trail of P's to the Truth. I trust this message will encourage you in your walk as a believer
Todays message: Help for afflicted people we see in Exodus 3:1-12 one of the greatest miracle in the Old Testament. The deliverance of Israel from Egypt. Accomplished by the blood of the passover lambs. It all pictures the coming Lamb of God. We see here also in Exodus God calls Moses for this task. The burning bush is not consumed. Speaks of our eternal self-sufficient God. Moses is afraid. God comforts Moses concerning His people.
Today our message comes from Luke 21:25-33. Praise God What a Time to Be Alive! A time of fulfilled prophecy, A time of expectation, A time of open doors for the sharing of the Gospel. But there is another view of this time: Fear is an epidemic (v.26) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Fragile marriage relationships (17:26-27) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Falling moral standards (17:28-29) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Full heads but restless hearts (Dan 12:4) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. How Does One Cope in Such A Time? I pray today's message will help you to cope in these last days.
“A Little While” our message today comes from Hebrews 10:32-37. Encouragement for suffering people. He had been persecuted (v.32) But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. He had been Reproached and afflicted (v.33) Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. They lost their earthly possessions (v.34) For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. They were tempted to give up (vv.35-36). Good News: Someone's Coming (v.37).
In today's message it comes from John 6:1-14. The miracle described by all four gospel writers. The great discourse on the bread of life. The lessons: “I am the bread of life” Three are people mentioned in connection with this miracle. Phillip…Andrew…the boy who gave his lunch. Lessons from their lives and words for us today.
We see in Hebrews 11:8-10 and Genesis 12:1-3 The Three Blessings. Genesis 1: Beginning with Adam, Genesis 6-7: Beginning with Noah, and Genesis 12: beginning with Abram. When the world rebels, God deals with one man. The Tower of Babel you see out of the confusion comes a call. God will give birth to the nation of Israel through Abram. There are many lessons here for individuals and for any nation longing for God's blessings.
Todays message comes out of the book of Daniel 3. Daniel…Book of prophecy and people. An outline of the ages, views of the end times. The triumphal entry. The cross…the destruction of Jerusalem. The antichrist…the tribulation…end-time rulers. But it is also a book of people. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The trials and triumphs of men of faith. Three men who are tried by fire. The great image. Bow or Burn. They refused to bow…but yet they did not burn …this is a passage of scripture the Holy Spirit has given me many times to use but seems always with a different angle…and that is the same this week… My prayer is you will be blessed.

These people aren't always who you expect. We often think of people who are valuable are people who are of high positions like a president, congressmen, banker, or even a famous person. Today our message come from Acts 4:12-14. The Priests and their evaluation of Peter and John they called them ignorant and unlearned. They would do more to change the world than all in Jerusalem. Thirteen men who changed the world. One doctor, one intellectual, and the rest unlettered. Look at a map of the world and see the impact of their lives. Today we will see why they were the most valuable men in town.
“The Word Of Assurance” todays message come to us from Luke 23:44-46. The seventh word from the cross, begins like the first: “Father”. The first on behalf of others, this one a personal word of His own. Lessons from the Lord's last word.We can all have a personal relationship with our heavenly Father. We come into this personal relationship through childlike faith. We can have absolute assurance about life after physical death. I invite you to come in faith to the One who died for you. Become a child of the heavenly Father and experience His peace in the most trying of life's situations.
They Watched Him There. Today's message comes out of Matthew 27: 36 “And sitting down they watched him there; We have studies in the passion and power of our Lord. The cross through Easter. This intense hour: Christ's last words, last looks. Moving ever toward the cross. The Passover, the Lord's table, betrayal. The mock trial. Pilate: “Behold the man”. Account of the crucifixion (Matt. 27:27-36). The soldiers at the cross. They watched complacently in the hour of the crucifixion. They watched calmly in the hour of the world's greatest crisis. The watched carelessly in the hour of God's greatest example of caring.
Today's message “Jesus Identified With Sinners” is found in Matthew 27:46. The first three words from the cross. “Father forgive them” Shows His pity for men. “Today, thou shall be with me.” This shows His power to save, and three “Woman behold thy son.” Shows His provision for those He loved. The difficult Word: “God forsaken of God, who can understand that?” This is the word that identifies Jesus with sinners. One Jesus Identifies With The Sinner's Darkness (v.45) Two Jesus Identifies With The Sinner's Uncertainty (v.46) Three Jesus Identifies With The Sinner's Separation From God (v.46) It is not necessary for you to continue in darkness and uncertainty. The most important question you must ask yourself “Do I Identify with Him? If you turn from sin and turn to Christ and trust Him as your Savior, you in fact can have A Blessed Life!
Today's message “Three Crosses on Calvary's Hill” found in Luke 23:33-43. I believe there are three great incentives to live for Christ. 1. The Holiness of our God (Isa. 6), 2. The return of Christ (1 Jn. 2:28), and The cross: The greatest demonstration of His holiness and love. But let us look to Calvary. Jesus dying there with two thieves: one on either side. One dying for sin. One dying in sin. One dying sin. We know two were completely guilty. One completely innocent. Two paying their debt to society. One paying OUR debt to sin. Our prayer is that today's message will give you the hope and assurance the Jesus Loves You.

In Luke 15:25-32 we see a great life lesson. The prodigal's return, the glad scene. The father running to meet the prodigal. The joy over the returning one. The man who missed out on the blessing. The elder brother returns from the field.nHe refuses to enter into the joy and therefore misses out. What caused the elder brother to miss the joy of this occasion. One the sin of a negative, critical, grumbling spirit, Two the sin of an offended spirit, and three the sin of a compassionless heart. The elder brother was neglected because our sins are revealed through studying him. Do you see yourself in this wayward son? Confess those “respectable sins” and know the joy of the Lord again.
Our text today comes from 1 Peter 4:12-19. Suffering is an unpopular subject. Salvation is more pleasant than suffering. Heaven is more pleasant than heartache. But suffering is a real part of life. Every hospital lets us know how real suffering is. Screaming sirens each time we hear them reminds us of how real suffering is. Not only the physical but the mental anguish is seen in suffering. Christians also have trials.
In Hebrews 11:1-6 We see a very important word in that all believers should be living by. “Faith” An Important Word In The Bible in Ephesians 2:8-9: Paul says “We are saved by faith in Christ” and in Romans 5:1: Paul says “We are justified by faith in Christ” The Word of God describes Faith as… Reliance, loyalty, or complete trusting God; a system of religious beliefs. The dictionary describes “Faith”: as Complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Or strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Faith is first mentioned in (Deuteronomy. 32:20) When Moses said: “And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see that their end shall be: for they are a very forward generation, children in whom is no faith.” …the last place mentioned is (Revelation 14:12) Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. But Faith Defined: The Assurance of things hoped for. The conviction of their reality. Believing God to the point of action. How Faith Affects Our Lives?
Todays text is found in Romans 6:11-13. The Bible: not only theological but also practical. To obey its message will not only change you position before God but also your practice before men… Not only will it change your record in heaven, but also your reputation before men… Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?(Rom 6:1). Now saved and secure, so shall we live in sin? Oh! Let it never be thought! Surrender … “To God”. Knowing you died with Christ. That you are alive to God through him.
Our text today can be found in Luke 2:7 . “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was “No Room” for them in the inn.” A familiar text often used for sermons at Christmas. Yet we generally see but the surface. What “No Room for Them in the Inn” Really? Think about this for a moment. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the business of Bethlehem. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the homes of Bethlehem. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the social life of Bethlehem. How perfectly this text fits our lives today. I hope you will make “Room” in your homes but most of all your Hearts!

Today our message comes from Luke 1:5-17. “Burden Lifting Day” God's Prophetic Plan is Always on Schedule. Some periods seem to witness a faster pace of fulfillment. Examples of seemingly slow times in scripture are: Israel in captivity 400 years, The 400 years of silence. And there also examples of swift fulfillment: The deliverance from Egypt, The time of the birth of Christ, and This present time. Then we see the Curtains open for the preparation for the birth of Christ. This preparation begins by the announcement of another birth, John the son of Zacharias and Elizabeth. Zacharias was a priest and Elisabeth of the line of Aaron. Today we look at the burden in their lives. Then we will as burden-lifting day arrived. When their burden was lifted, the blessings were far greater that what they expected. My question to you is what is your burden? Your area of defeat? Your need? You need to know God will meet your need today.
