Your Life Your Story

Shane is a business guy in Argyle, Texas, that has a beautiful family, a lovely wife, and three children. Everything in his world seemed great, yet he had this pesky friend that kept inviting him to a bible study called, 'Authentic Manhood'. Finally, after turning his friend down multiple times, he gave it a shot. Not only did the Lord change Shane's heart, but he also made him a better father and a better husband. It is amazing what the Lord can do through one unrelenting friend, that won't take "no" for an answer. 

Jacob was like any other college freshman, he wanted to have some solid friendships at school. Yet one compromise led to another and Jacob found himself with one foot in the world and one foot in a church. Jacob had a profound Holy Spirit moment that moved him to change his life. Jacob will be the first to tell you that life change is a process and it didn't happen overnight. Check out how God intervened in Jacob's story, and how that has played out in his life today. 

Jaw continues his story of transformation and committing his life to the Lord in this two-part series. After Jesus got his attention through TikTok, Jaw explains his journey with the Holy Spirit, discipleship, and how to honor Jesus and his cultural roots.

Starting with his roots as a Northern Arapaho, on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, all the way to Colorado College as a basketball player, seeds of the truth were sprinkled in his life. Anna is a recent grad from college, and she details the Lord's pursuit over her through her college years. Although not perfect, Anna discovered how much different a relationship with Jesus could be from a distant religion. Leah is a three-time Softball Olympic Gold Medalist, who is living out her passion as a motivational speaker. Leah is a decorated athlete, a mom, a wife, and a woman that seeks after the Lord. What an awkward transition from friends to dating! We had a slow build in our friendship and it truly helped the foundation for dating. In the episode, we talk through some of our boundaries and how we navigated traveling with boundaries. We also cover our story of the engagement and how that was a sweet process for my family. Enjoy!

Brandon joins me, Lindsey, as we talk through our time of being single. How the Lord used our singleness and eventually how he brought us together.  The Lord had to work a few extra things out in our hearts before the dating story began. Yet Lord knows what he is doing and it is evident through our journeys that he was the one writing our love story. 

Parker is a former collegiate baseball player who was born without his left hand. Always beating the odds, Parker climbed the ladder to success, yet still had low moments. In the lowest moment of his life, the Lord showed up in a profound way. Now Parker, is a motivational speaker, helping kids understand how the Lord has given everyone a "left hand" in life, yet through the Lord, our weaknesses can be a strength. 

Angel is back with her part two, on how the Lord refined her to respect her husband. The shift in how she talked to her husband, as well as what the Lord did in her heart, gave their marriage new life. Isn't that a sweet promise from the Lord anyways? Ben Krush is back and he is discussing his favorite topic; marriage. We get into the tough topic of conflict resolution and how you might go about solving some problems. Ben brings a vulnerable look into marriage, as he shares stories of his own, and we invite Jesus into the conversation. 

Ben is a fun-loving, energetic guy, with a wife and three kids, which is a beautiful blessing from the Lord. Yet without intervention from the Lord, his life of blessings might have looked very different.  Ben had a falling away from the Lord in college that left him asking the Lord some tough questions. When he decided to be honest with himself, the Lord showed up to redeem his story in big ways.

Seth was a football player at Iowa and went on to compete at the next level with the Indianapolis Colts when he received the phone call.  The call is one that no one ever wants to receive, let alone two weeks before training camp. Seth dives into how the suicide impacted his faith in the Lord, and how the passing of his brother has changed his relationships with the people around him.

Jenna shares her incredible story of how she walked in healing from an abortion. The Lord is gracious, compassionate and able to pursue us, even in times of trouble. Jenna's story is inspiring and truly demonstrates a Father's heart for his daughter to be healed and whole. Her story of forgiveness will bring anyone who listens, face to face with God's plan for his children to be free from any past pain or struggle.

Marla, a dynamic woman who loves the Lord, had some fears when it came to marriage. Mainly, how could she be this dynamic woman and a man not be intimidated by her. Marla takes us through a bit of her story, meeting her husband (who is eight years younger than her) and how the Lord taught her to be a wife. Marla and Josh are not perfect, yet she gives us a glimpse into their story and how they seek the Lord in their relationship. John grew up in a Christian home, yet it was not until college that he made the decision to really follow Jesus.  John, was starting a family, making some money, and was a Christian, yet was asking if there was something more from God. Isolated on a dirt road, John asked the Lord some questions, fully expecting the answer.  John gives his experience with gifts from the spirit of God, and how they might apply to you. 

Native American by blood, yet Christian through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, John has quite the story! Working as a Coach at Haskell Indian Nations University, and starting an FCA there, John pours out the love of Jesus on anyone and everyone that walks through the door. John has really adopted the verses in Mark 4, by loving people to Jesus, and producing a crop that is 100 fold. Come see why his passion for Jesus is so strong, and what lead him to that place. 

Jimmy grew up fast, and became the man of the household at a very young age, as his dad was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas. Jimmy had some bumps along life's way and was heading in the wrong direction when he had a break through.  A miracle took place in Jimmy's body when the taste for drugs miraculously vanished, and he knew the power of God was real. Check out Jimmy's story as he relives God's faithfulness in his life. 

What happens when you really, really, really want something, yet the Lord is not answering your prayer?  What does it say about the character of God? How does the Lord notice us in our pain? Libby recounts how the Lord met one need, yet another He did not answer. What would a D1 Football Player have to say to you? Sovereignty. God has a plan even when our plan doesn't work out.  Isaiah is constantly reminded by the Lord, of his character of Sovereignty and how God's plans prevail. Maddie, a D-1 soccer player, lived a split life.  One day she would want to encounter Jesus and the next it would be the ways of the world.  Yet it was not until she met the man she would marry, that her past life caught up to her. How do you tell someone you love about your past life of sin? Maddie talks  through her testimony, God's redeeming grace and how she walked this road with her now husband. 

Breaking childhood hurts and pains is a tough avenue to walk down.  Casey, started to uncover these pains the moment she said "yes" to a relationship with the Lord, ultimately knowing freedom was possible.  Casey takes us through her story, how she found freedom and how she likes to walk other women towards freedom by being a life coach.  If you are looking for freedom from the chains of the past, you need to check out Casey's story!

Todd grew up culturally Jewish, with some religious training, yet it wasn't until his adult years that he started his search for the Lord. After his sister was tragically diagnosed with cancer, Todd started to look for the truth and where it could be found. Now years into his faith, Todd is still working with the Lord on how to present the truth in grace, mainly within his own family.  The Lord is not done teaching him, and he is on the adventure to discovering the "more" the Lord has in store. 

Ashley had a few bumps in the road, that lead her to seek out guys and drinking in order to feel in control.  Ashley's roommate loved Jesus and made sure to invite Ashley to every Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) event as possible. It wasn't until this Division 1 Volleyball played had some failed attempts at her own redemption story, that she finally realized Jesus was what she had been searching for all along. 

My Mom joins the podcast to help uncover the expectations of being a perfect mother.  How do you handle the fussy baby? How do you handle a child that is strong willed and goes their own way in life?
