For three decades, Tom and JoAnn Doyle's ministry has focused on the Middle East. The two affable and faith-filled Americans have smuggled in Bibles and helped locals organize Christian house churches in places where it could bring a death sentence for converting from Islam. And yet, even under threat of death, there's been a massive conversion there, particularly in Iran, the country that just launched hundreds of missiles on Israel. What's the real take of how Iranians feel about their country's regime and its attack on the Jewish state? Is the missile strike fulfilling an ancient biblical prophecy in Ezekiel of Gog and Magog? And why are so many Muslims having dreams of a mysterious man in white? On this episode of Lighthouse Faith podcast, the Doyle's talk about what's happening spiritually in the Islamic Republic, and how the Word of God is making miraculous changes in a people hungry for the truth. If you're anything like me, your heart remains heavy for Israel in these days. It's hard to wrap our heads around the war, God's bigger plan for their nation, and the hardships so many are facing in the Middle East. Knowing this, I am so excited to have JoAnn Doyle from Uncharted Ministries joining us today. She's got an amazing perspective on Israel through the lens of someone who has been ministering to Jews and Muslims in the Middle East for many decades. While the news coming from Israel has been hard, there's also an encouraging story behind the story that more Muslims have come to faith in Christ in the last 10 years than in the last 14 centuries. And more Jews have come to embrace Jesus as Messiah in the last 20 years than in the last 2000 years. All this comes as a much-needed reminder that God continues to pursue his people—and he's doing it right now in Israel. Take a few minutes to be encouraged as you listen to JoAnn share incredible stories of how God's working in Israel and Gaza, and ways we can make a difference individually during this critical time. P.S. Guys, we are ONE MONTH away from the release of my first book Life is Messy, God is Good. Pre-orders are a ginormous deal and it would be such a blessing if you would consider grabbing a copy (or two or three) today! On October 7th, Israel woke up to find itself on the brink of a regional war. The Hamas attack on the Jewish State was barbaric, inhumane and everyone from Holocaust Survivors to tiny infants were targeted, kidnapped and cruelly killed. The world gasped at the animalistic treatment that was captured and celebrated by Hamas. Israel was in a state of shock and so was the world itself. But then, the devil opened pandora's box and antisemitism is now sweeping the globe with fury as people unashamedly call for genocide against all Jews. The tiny nation of Israel is not only surrounded by hostility in Middle East, but the entire world seems to have turned against them. Israel and Jews around the world are suffering. Palestinians also and especially the ones who love Jesus in Gaza are suffering as a long ground war has opened up right where they live. Is there any hope? There is, and Tom and JoAnn Doyle tell you why.

Many people have found hope, love, peace, and forgiveness in Jesus. It is His light that guides us through the darkness in our lives. As His believers, we have the opportunity to share with others the truth we found in Christ. In this episode of the Revelations Podcast, JoAnn Doyle joins us to discuss sharing Christ in the Middle East. JoAnn imparts inspiring stories of women who found faith in Christ and sought to share His light with the people around them.Join us to learn how we can bravely share the truth, even with those who seem so distant. Listen to this episode just for you! Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:Open your hearts to Muslims as you hear their struggles and stories.Be inspired to have faith in God and the truth of His Word..Learn how you, as a missionary, can bring Christ into the lives of those around you.ResourcesMore from the Revelations Podcast: Website | Instagram | Apple PodcastWomen Who Risk: Secret Agents for Jesus in the Muslim World by Tom and JoAnn Doyle: Amazon | WebsiteUncharted Ministries: Website | Not ForgottenHear more stories on I Found the TruthBible Verses:John 1:12 Chronicles 20John 8:32Romans 1:162 Timothy 2:9Episode Highlights[06:25] JoAnn's JourneyJoAnn was a quiet and shy child who grew up not knowing Jesus. She first heard the gospel at 16 after struggling with terrifying and evil dreams.JoAnn married Tom when she was 20. Together, God has taken them around the world to share the love of Christ.JoAnn: “He is the only one where we can come out of that darkness and into His glorious light. He can take a shy girl, a broken girl, and make her whole. That is what so many Muslim women feel. That they're back in the darkness, they're stuck in the shadows, they're broken, they have no voice. But they come to faith in Christ and he gives them a whole new paradigm shift.”[08:49] How JoAnn Found Jesus ChristIn the past, JoAnn felt an emptiness, praying to God to help her fill it. Afterward, she experienced multiple scary dreams. She learned of the gospel through a friend and accepted Jesus. From there, she came to have faith in God. Jesus became a light in the darkness. Many Muslims are battling demonic forces. Similarly, she realized her dreams were spiritual warfare. Through Christ, they can break free of their hold.[12:35] Their Calling to the Middle EastTom was a pastor before he was invited to lead bible tours in Israel. They heeded the call to work in the Middle East. The tragedy of 9/11 gave them the opportunity to reach out to struggling Muslims. Many Muslims experienced dreams and visions of Jesus. It is through these visions that they come to know Him as the Savior.Unfortunately, the Word of God is not prevalent in the Middle East. Illiteracy, access, and fear stop many Muslims from getting to know Christ.JoAnn: “He pursued each one of us so that we could have not only eternal life in the afterlife after we take our last breath here. But that we could have an abundant life with Him right now, here on Earth.”[17:30] Going Into the UnchartedThey answered God's call to go into places difficult to reach. They built churches and stood by the persecuted.Uncharted is the umbrella ministry, while Not Forgotten is the women's division. One day, JoAnn had a vision of Jesus calling her to reach out to Muslim women. These women's stories showed her the evils they've endured. One of the Muslim women she was talking to kept turning her head to the side. She learned it was because her husband had made her deaf in one ear. These women are not forgotten by God, nor are they forgotten by JoAnn. She hopes to share with them the light of Jesus.[23:07] Life in the Middle EastLife is especially difficult for women. At a young age, girls are taught that their fathers do not love them. Women do not have a voice and are often abused. In their culture, honor and shame affect their whole life and community. God has called women to be spiritual influences in their families. When these women come to have faith in God and Jesus, they can share the truth with their families.[30:25] About MuslimsMuslims believe Jesus is a prophet rather than the Son of God. They don't believe that He was resurrected after death.Their god, Allah, is not a god of love and forgiveness. Their laws don't include love, kindness, forgiveness, and others. Most Muslims have not read the Koran. Mostly, they learn about it during prayer.Practices and beliefs often differ depending on the country and the conservativeness of the family.[32:40] Leila's Story: Coming to Have Faith in GodThe stories in Women Who Risk are of real, ordinary women who experienced the extraordinary through God.Leila, one of the women JoAnn met, experienced abuse at the hands of the men in her family. Her family sought refuge in Syria, where she received an invitation to a Christian church. There, she experienced worship that brought her warmth and hope.Leila told the truth about how she felt and her difficulties as a Muslim woman. Many women experience feeling safety, peace, love, and wholeness in Jesus Christ.Reagan: “You can just ask Him, ‘Jesus, I want to stop going my own way. I'm not satisfied with my life. I want You to be the Lord of my life. And forgive me for my sins and not following You. It's time for me to follow You and be obedient to Your calling.''”[44:49] Kady and Amina's Story of Learning to Have Faith in GodKady was a religious Muslim who dreamed about Jesus. After her prayers were answered, Kady came to have faith in GodShe shares her experience with Amina and encouraged her to pray. That night, Jesus answers Amina's prayers.Together they attend an underground bible study that strengthened their faith.Despite the consequences of believing in Christ, they face the risk and share the gospel with others.[55:02] Bravely Sharing the Truth of ChristMany people lived desperate lives before meeting God. Now, they have a holy boldness that allows them to share their joy and hope with others. Many former Muslims become full of holy boldness through their transformation in Christ. The Holy Spirit works in our lives when we share the truth without shame. Hope and truth are the armor that God gives us. JoAnn: “It's a beautiful combination. Not being ashamed of the gospel, knowing that it's the power unto salvation, and then doing it in a way that's kind and loving. How do you say no to that?”[59:24] Your Prayers Can HelpThe COVID pandemic has prevented JoAnn and Tim from visiting the Middle East. Fortunately, Israel has opened their borders once again. You can pray for many divine opportunities to share the gospel. In the past, people used to pray for missionaries to reach difficult areas. Now, we are all missionaries, called to share the hope within us.When you see a Muslim woman, show them you see them. Don't be afraid to share with her that she is loved.Take the opportunity to develop a friendship with her. This way, you can bring Jesus into their lives.About JoAnnJoAnn Doyle is the president and founder of the Not Forgotten division of the Uncharted Ministries. Happy Friday friends! I'm thrilled to begin our Encounter Series today! This summer we'll be focusing on stories of how a person encountered Christ, how they began living their life for Jesus, and what their life looks like now. Today I have the privilege of sitting down with JoAnn Doyle, author of Women Who Risk: Secret Agents for Jesus in the Muslim World.JoAnn was a pastor's wife for 20 years before God called her family into full-time mission work in the Middle East. Together, she and her husband Tom launched Uncharted Ministries, which sounds the alarm and inspires believers to join God's great harvest among Jews and Muslims. The women's ministry of Uncharted, called Not Forgotten, encourages and equips Jesus-followers to engage these often-neglected women with the love of Christ—not only across the globe, but in our own backyards.JoAnn share with us stories of former Muslim women who literally risked it all to follow Jesus. My heart was convicted as I listened to these stories of women who gave up everything and I look at my own life as a Christ-follower here in America. JoAnn gives all of us encouragement in how we can walk in holy boldness wherever we live!Don't forget to click here to subscribe to our newsletter and share this episode with a friend!SHOW LINKS:Women Who Risk by Tom Doyle & JoAnn DoyleUncharted MinistriesI Found The TruthNot Forgotten MinistriesDreams and Visions by Tom DoyleThe Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn
A woman with strong convictions is a woman who will have moral courage. In today's episode, Karen and Joanne Doyle discuss the challenges that Christian women face in a culture that is increasingly hostile towards Christianity. They explore the doubts and assumptions that hold us back from being authentic Christian witnesses and the importance of being aware of our thoughts and feelings in order to shape our actions. Joanne and her husband Tom Doyle started a ministry called Uncharted which aims to inspire believers to join in God's great harvest among Jews and Muslims. Joanne has been on various national TV and radio programs and leads expeditions for women overseas. Karen and Joanne discuss the importance of being authentic Christian witnesses in order to help people come to know Jesus and make Him known.Learn more about The Blue Cord at www.TheBlueCord.orgPurchase The Blue Cord book at: https://shop.churchleaders.com/products/the-blue-cord?_pos=1&_sid=c7e502826&_ss=rSupport The Blue Cord: https:www.iHOPEministries.org/giveTimestamps00:00:00 "Exploring Doubts and Assumptions that Hold Us Back from Being Authentic Christian Witnesses with Joanne Doyle"00:03:00 JoAnn Doyle Discusses Bible Translation with Bedouin Women in Israel00:05:00 Boldness in Sharing Faith00:08:00 Confronting Assumptions and Moving Past Doubt00:10:00 Overcoming Assumptions to Share Faith Boldly00:14:00 Sharing the Gospel and Overcoming Hesitations00:17:00 Women's Spiritual Influence in Islamic Culture00:19:00 Being a Spiritual Gatekeeper00:23:00 The Impact of Spiritual Gatekeeping and the Holy Domino EffectHelpful Resources: “The Blue Cord" by Karen Bejjani Find it wherever books are sold online. The Blue Cord Small Group Discipleship Study. Many people have found hope, love, peace, and forgiveness in Jesus. It is His light that guides us through the darkness in our lives. However, there are still many out there who haven't come to have faith in God and Jesus. Despite this, Jesus has not forgotten them. Muslims around the world are commemorating the holiest month on the Islamic calendar: Ramadan. Muslims fast from sunup to sundown as a way to dedicate themselves to Allah and earn his approval. It is a strategic time for Christians to pray fervently for the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus and the truth of the gospel during Muslims' heightened spiritual interest. Listen as guests explain the significance of Ramadan, then lead in praying for Muslims to encounter Christ during this month. They will also help listeners pray for persecuted Christians serving amongst Muslims. Our guests, who work in Muslim nations and among Muslims, will provide specific ways we can pray during this Ramadan month and especially the “Night of Power.” Set a reminder to pray each day during this pivotal time for the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to Muslims during Ramadan--through dreams and visions, a Christian friend, a Bible, gospel broadcast, social media post or in some other way. God uses people with all kinds of different backgrounds, skills, and experiences. Wherever we live and work, He invites us to be part of His mission. We all have a role to play in bringing the good news of eternal life in the Messiah Yeshua to all the world. In this episode, we interview Tom and JoAnn Doyle. They founded Uncharted Ministries, an organization that focuses on making disciples among Jewish and Arab people in the Middle East. In this episode, you will hear about Tim and Brenda Harder's creative use of their drive time going to and from their church Emmaus Mennonite Church. A tradition of reading in their car that started when their children were young continues today even though they are now empty nesters. The couple recently read through the book Dare to Believe! by SAT-7 Founder and President Dr. Terence Ascott and share their response to the book. They also have read other books from missionaries to be able to better understand the needs of fellow workers in Christ and how they can be encouraged. Women Who Risk by Tom and JoAnn Doyle was another recommended title. Additionally, they provide some insight into today's challenges with farming. And lastly, the impact of grandparent's and parent's values are discussed. How do you creatively use your drive time to church? Let us know in the comments!

Join us as we continue to look back on some of the most moving moments on VOM Radio in 2021: “Brother Aaron” says Christian persecution in Pakistan is “like the air”—all around, all the time. Aaron Miller says his personal experience of persecution was surprising—but sacred as well. Dan Baumann and Andrew Brunson said they don't miss being in prison, but sometimes they do miss that intimacy with God. (Register to view the Imprisoned for Christ Virtual Event.) Ellen Oblander shared how Richard Wurmbrand responded to suffering—even long after he was released from prison. Anita Smith remembered the death of her husband, Ronnie Smith, in Libya, and how she began to pray for the men who killed him. Tat Stewart tells about being in Tehran the day the US Embassy was taken over in 1979—and how God honored the spiritual seeds he planted in Iran. Andy Byrd told of a young lady who came to Christ in the Himalayas—and paid a very high price. “Brother Stephen” remembered telling the story of Jesus in a Bedouin camp to people who had never heard it before. Tom and JoAnn Doyle shared how God transformed a man from Syria named Mohammed—and through that transformation reached his wife, Dina, as well. John Weaver shared specific ways to pray for Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover of the country. God is speaking to Muslims all over the Middle East and he's doing it through dreams of Jesus! You may have heard the stories. In a vision, Jesus appears in a robe of blazing white. The dreamer is filled with a deep sense of love and is drawn to follow him. Missiologists tell us that between 1 in 2 and 1 in 3 Muslims have become Christians because of a dream. The Spirit is at work drawing people to himself and it's all happening while they are sleeping! In today's podcast, we have two special guests all the way from Texas, USA. Tom and JoAnn Doyle have been reaching out to the people of the Middle East for 20 years. Their ministry inspires the church to share the good news with Jews and Muslims in Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and the Palestinian territories of Israel. On the show, you will hear some of the incredible stories coming of the Middle East. Many of them are hard to believe! Tom and JoAnn tell of how a dream of Jesus often marks the beginning of a journey for Muslims to discover more about the man they call Issa. For Muslims, Jesus is an important prophet, but not the Son of God. They also believe the Bible has been corrupted. But when they experience the love of Jesus for themselves, these arguments are instantly dashed and they become motivated to find out more. One woman had been having dreams of Jesus for 30 years and was waiting for someone to tell her what they mean. She finally received answers when she met Tom at a petrol station and prayed a prayer of submission to Jesus. Another woman said “I have never felt so safe with a man in my life as I have in dreams of Jesus. He loved me like a father.” This episode will not only inspire you to worship the God who is constantly reaching out to people, but to become like him in connecting with Muslims in your own neighbourhood. A great way to start the conversation is, “Have you ever had a dream of Jesus?"! Subscribe to God Conversations with Tania Harris and never miss an episode! JoAnn was a pastor's wife for 20 years before God called the Doyle's into full-time work in the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa in 2001. What surprised JoAnn most of all is that soon after she began her work in the region, God birthed in her a heart for the women of the Middle East, especially Muslim women. “I was not in the least attracted to them and their needs, but soon God broke my heart for them. I was truly able to see them through our Father's eyes.” This led JoAnn to launch a ministry for Women in the Middle East named Not Forgotten. The team has ministered in Israel, Egypt, Gaza, The West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, Korea, and right here in the United States. The ministry reaches out to all women of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia but, specifically, is called to reach Muslim women with the love of Christ. JoAnn and the Not Forgotten team are highly sought after to train women in North America and around the world to engage Muslim women around them with the love and Good News of Jesus. JoAnn leads expeditions for women overseas and speaks in many churches throughout North America. Her goal is to inspire women to have a heart for Muslim women and to be Jesus to them. In 2017, God called JoAnn and Tom to launch Uncharted Ministries which calls believers to join God's great harvest field among Jews and Muslims. JoAnn is also a regular guest on various national radio programs such as the Moody Radio Network with Chris Fabry, and Charles Dyer. She also co-wrote Breakthrough – The Return of Hope to the Middle East with Tom. Worship and prayer is the heart of JoAnn's life, along with a deep love for her family. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/angel-h-davis/message

COVID-19 VACCINEIn an interview broadcast last week on the Italian television station Canale 5, Pope Francis stated that “everyone” must take the COVID-19 vaccine. According to LifeSiteNews, he said “I believe that, ethically, everyone should take the vaccine.” The Pope added that he would be taking the vaccine himself and that the Vatican will administer it to its citizens soon, remarking that “it must be done.” VACCINATIONS IN A CATHEDRALPeople in the Lichfield area in the UK may now go to their local cathedral to get a Covid-19 jab. On the 15th January, Lichfield Cathedral began hosting a vaccine clinic. When the Phizer vaccine was approved, the Dean of Lichfield, Very Rev Adrian Dorber, wrote to local medical practices to offer the cathedral as space for vaccinations. He said: " We want to offer this cathedral nave as a big space that can safely and securely house local vaccination programmes and enable speedy delivery to those most at risk."GOSPEL ACTION IN IRANMission Network News reports that Gospel workers in Iran started noticing a trend after COVID-19 hit the country: people reported coming to Christ in 10 times the numbers they had before the pandemic. A television show, called Flourish, reaches out to Iranian women who live in an increasingly post-Islamic context. JoAnn Doyle of Uncharted Ministries says, “Most of the women are post-Islamic. They’re in this country that just is so oppressive, especially to women. But the general population is just rejecting Islam.” The rejection of Islam has led many Iranians to Christ, though atheism and other religions have grown as well. Doyle says, “These women are very open. They’re looking. Those that are coming to faith in Christ, the majority of them are women. Women are leading the way, not only in salvation but also in discipleship and leadership.”

Iran is the fastest-growing church per capita in the world. Sharia Law and the Ayatollah's brutal regime have not slowed down the spread of the gospel of Christ one bit. The women of Iran are leading the way in telling the Good News and becoming a force for good to be reckoned with in the Persian nation. JoAnn Doyle will be hosting a women's television program and broadcasting weekly into Iran via satellite beginning in November 2020. "Flourish" will be aired during primetime and JoAnn along with the Not Forgotten Women's Team will be sharing the gospel, and discipling the new Jesus following women of Iran who come from a Muslim background. Let's join JoAnn and the Not Forgotten Team on the set of "Flourish."
She has a love from Jesus to reach Muslim and Jewish women in the Middle East. She's been asked by the Satellite TV ministry Iran Alive to host the new show Flourish that will reach the Muslim women of Iran. She is JoAnn Doyle and she joins Perry and Shawna today. First Joann shares what Flourish is about and how it was born out of a time of pain in her life. Then JoAnn explains why she, an American woman, was asked to do a TV show for the women of Iran. Iranian women love America. Really! Next JoAnn shares the spiritual opposition her team has faced during the creation of this show. Then, JoAnn didn’t always have a heart for Muslim women, but God broke her heart when she met one who had suffered abuse from her husband because of her faith in Jesus. Next, JoAnn’s husband Tom has been into Iran two times. What he saw was amazing. Iranians love America and want to know Jesus! Then, since 1979 the Iranian government has been trying to wipe out Christianity. It’s not working! Next, JoAnn tells us why Iranian women are leaving Islam to follow Jesus. And finally we hear about the Billy Graham of Iran, Hormos Shariat. To pray for the women of Iran and JoAnn’s new show Flourish, email us. Perry.LaHaie@Moody.edu or Shawna.Beyer@Moody.edu.
Jeff King interviews JoAnn Doyle, leader of Not Forgotten - Uncharted Ministries, who discusses what it's like to be a Muslim woman, confined to a religion that does not value them. She has seen first-hand the physical and mental abuse that many Muslim women have endured over the years. She also shares how her ministry is able to minster to Muslim women, and how it seeks to show the church in the West how to engage and love Muslims in their own communities. Today we're talking about Contract vs Covenant in regards to marriage. Most of us seem to think a marriage is conditional, yet that is not what God's word says or what God's love empowers us to do. We are called into Covenant. For better and for worse. Listen in as I define what this means and, how we are enabled to walk this out. Also, we have a SPECIAL treat today: Tom and JoAnn Doyle of Uncharted Ministries are with us. They are accomplished ministers of the Gospel all over the world, authors, speakers and teachers. Listen in as they share how they’ve seen God use their marriage. They’ll tell you what Muslims see as different about a Christian marriage and how they have worked to balance God’s call to ministry and marriage in order to be successful at both. Tom and JoAnn will also share some real-life examples of how they’ve dealt with conflict, and give specific advice for different stages of your marriage. As we approach Valentine’s Day next week, spend a half hour thinking about marriage as ministry, and pray that God will use your marriage to bring others to Christ.
For Christians in Syria and other Middle East nations, human logic is clear: get out! Go someplace safe! In spite of such advice, Tom and JoAnn Doyle tell us many Christians are choosing to STAY and serve the Lord and witness for Christ. These bold brothers and sisters are standing in the fire of war and persecution, and they are finding—just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did—that God is standing with them. Listen to the story of Jamila, a 12-year-old girl healed from cancer after a Christian man prayed for her in Jesus’ name, leading to hundreds of Druze people coming to faith in Christ. That’s just one of the stories in Tom Doyle’s new book, Standing in the Fire. You’ll be encouraged as you hear what God is doing in the Middle East, and challenged as Tom and JoAnn give insights into how we, Christians in free nations, can emulate the lessons offered by our brothers and sisters standing in the fire. Muslim women face oppression in society and even in their own families, sometimes forced to hide even their very faces from the world. JoAnn Doyle leads an outreach to share the truth with Muslim women that they are Not Forgotten, that Jesus Christ loved them so much He even gave His life for them. Listen in as JoAnn shares how we can reach out to Muslim women, even through simple acts of kindness and conversation. We’ll also answer a question from a reader about how Christians inside the world’s most closed nation—North Korea—pray and worship Jesus Christ.
