It's hard to believe that Balance Music has been around for 25 years. When we first started, there was no grand plan—just a love for electronic music and a desire to share it. We never imagined that what began as a small project in Australia would grow into something that reaches people all over the world. Later this year, we'll mark this milestone with a huge venture as we travel to Croatia to host Balance Croatia Festival, the first-ever music festival dedicated to progressive and melodic house. This is going to be a moment 25 years in the making, and we couldn't be more excited! Last year, to commemorate the 25 years, close friend of the label and an artist we deeply admire, Joe Miller, curated a countdown of his favourite Balance Series mix and track entries—an effort that showcased his deep connection to the label's history. Now, as he prepares to release his new solo EP, Planet is Far Away, through Anjunadeep later this month, Joe has once again taken the time to celebrate 25 years of Balance Music with a mix that is hard to put into words. This incredible retrospective reimagines key moments from past Balance Series compilations, weaving them together in a way that feels both fresh and deeply familiar. We hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane as much as we do. @joe-miller
After the success of #133 Too Much Information, I wanted to record another mix asap. The process takes so much time, time that I do not have. An opportunity came up with one of my best mates Pasha (aka Fluffer). Pasha is learning to mix, loves progressive house music and has spent hours record shopping. We agreed for him to jump in the deep end and for us to go back to back and record a set. I have to say he did a great job and I am excited to see how he develops his skills. Fluffer and I have been each year to Anjunadeep at FIVE and he went to their Expeditions festival in Albania last year. We recorded part 1 of Welcome to the Big League a few weeks ago. The mix is 100% Pasha's tunes, he had 78. We filtered and split into a 20 tune early, 20 warm up and 20 late set selection. This mix tips our hat to Jody, James and all the Anjunadeep collective. Please enjoy 'Welcome to The Big League - Warm Up Set. When the dust settles we will record the 3rd and final part the Late Set. All 3 parts are a journey but this mix itself is it's own starting slow so sit back, enjoy and turn it up!

Rooted in the vibrant cultural mosaic of San Francisco, Spencer Brown has emerged as a bright beacon within progressive house and techno. While navigating his academic path at Duke University, Spencer's musical talents caught the ears of artists like Avicii and Above & Beyond, catapulting him onto a trajectory that would see his albums, Illusion of Perfection (2018) and Stream of Consciousness (2020), soar to the apex of the progressive house charts. In 2022, Spencer added his own label, diviine, alongside prestigious imprints like Bedrock, Anjunadeep, and Global Underground to his eclectic release portfolio. Spencer's intuitive connection with the dance floor is evident through his kinetic, ever-evolving DJ sets, which infused with a resonant message of love and positivity. On this Balance Selections mix, the American showcase his emotional versatility to guide listeners through a spectrum of moods and textures. Featuring tracks and collaborations from Henry Saiz, John Digweed, Max Graham and more, this is the work of master craftsman.

Simon Doty will perfom at Balance Croatia Festival this August. @simondoty __________________________________________________ Balance Croatia 2025 Thu 7th Aug - Mon 11th Aug 2025 The Garden Resort, Tisno Head to www.balancecroatia.com for more info. Hey everyone! It's an honor to be invited to guest mix. :) I'm Camden, a music enthusiast, creator, DJ, and audio technician based in San Diego, California. Throughout my life, I've explored various music genres, but it was only in the last five years that I fell in love with the diverse soundscapes of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Although I've been surrounded by musical instruments since childhood, it's surprising to realize that my first encounter with DJ gear was only three years ago. This is because dance music has become an integral part of my life. From hosting parties to DJing in clubs, designing and operating sound systems for music festivals, and now embarking on my journey as a producer, I've had the privilege of experiencing various facets of the EDM community. My artist name, camlock, is a reference to the cables used to power large festival stages. It's a subtle nod to the homies in the production industry. The dance music scene and community have had a profound impact on my life. They've brought me moments that feel like dreams and allowed me to form some of my most cherished relationships. Inspired by these experiences, I created this mix, which aims to create a safe space for listeners to fully express themselves through emotions. Whether it's the warmth of gratitude, the intense urge to dance, or the pain of unrequited love, these feelings are universal and beautiful. For me, deep/progressive house music from the Anjunadeep label consistently captures these rich emotional qualities. It feels like returning home, a place of rest, processing, and healing. Ironically, over half of the tracks I chose were Anjunadeep releases, but I wasn't surprised. This mix focuses on these themes and includes a recent work-in-progress track of mine. I hope you enjoy it!

Darin Epsilon presents PERSPECTIVES - Progressive/Tech/Deep House Mixes
Wow, what can I say. My 3rd Burning Man was simply amazing and nothing short of magical! Connected with so many incredible souls from every corner of the globe, marveled at breathtaking art installations, witnessed a jaw-dropping fireworks show that left me in awe, and played one of the most unforgettable sets of my life on Friday night. Huge thanks to everyone who's been writing me positive feedback and to The Fluffy Cloud for inviting me back to their incredible stage.

Podcast Overview: The conversation with Dusky covers a wide range of topics, including personal life, teamwork, the evolution of their sound, changes in the music industry, and the impact of social media and marketing. The discussion delves into the challenges and changes in the music scene, from club culture to festivals, and the shift in focus from DJing to streaming and social media marketing. The conversation covers a wide range of topics, including the evolution of DJ culture, the process of album writing, the influence of major record labels, the impact of AUS record label, and the significance of having one's own record label. It also delves into the changing dynamics of the music industry, the role of A&R, and the challenges and opportunities for artists in the current music landscape.Who are Dusky: Dusky are London production duo Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell. The duo have asserted themselves as leaders of the UK underground. BBC Essential Mix of The Year contenders, DJ Mag cover stars, headliners everywhere from Berlin's Panorama Bar to London's Fabric, Dusky's story so far is one of constant forward motion and a uniquely universal appeal. The duo's breakthrough track was undoubtedly 2012's iTunes Dance Single Of The Year 'Flo Jam'. Signed by the label that broke Maya Jane Coles (Dogmatik), its deep grooves were hammered by everyone from Loefah, Joy Orbison and Boddika to Disclosure, Jamie Jones and Sasha, with even Calvin Harris getting in on the act. Since those formative releases marked them out as talents destined for the top, Dusky have pushed their sound forward every step of the way. There have been Italo bassline meets Belgian rave vibes on Running Back, rugged warehouse techno excursions on Loefah's School and classy melodic grooves on Anjunadeep. But, it was ‘Careless' on Aus that cemented their place in the scene's hall of fame. Over 14 million streams, definitive UK house banger of its era and soundtrack to countless crack-ons ever since. In 2017, the duo launched their 17 Steps label, taking control of this unique identity and giving it the unrestricted platform it deserves. JOY, their debut album on the imprint, amassed over 6 million streams with ‘Eros', the most streamed track on the LP, paving way for their new garage project Pressure. A musical excursion looking back to their formative years and early productions that were heavily influenced by UK and US garage. Whatever musical sub-strain Dusky turn their hands to, there is always a strong common thread - a signature depth and detailing. A stamp of quality, that makes for an instantly recognisable 'Dusky' sound.Join for updates: https://laylo.com/willclarke⏲ Follow Will Clarke ⏱https://djwillclarke.com/https://open.spotify.com/artist/1OmOdgwIzub8DYPxQYbbbi?si=hEx8GCJAR3mhhhWd_iSuewhttps://www.instagram.com/djwillclarkehttps://www.facebook.com/willclarkedjhttps://twitter.com/djwillclarkehttps://www.tiktok.com/@djwillclarke Hosted on Acast. Joni Ljungqvist on The Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 6/25/24 About Joni Ljungqvist - Joni Ljungqvist (JPL) is a Swedish music producer, DJ and owner of JPL Music who creates lush, atmospheric and melodic music in a variety of genres. Joni has a traceable music record history dating back to 2002, when he first started releasing music online, having his first official release together with Terje Bakke called Fanatic (2004), outstanding for its good reviews on Armada sublabel Electronic Elements and championed by Markus Schulz. In 2005 he released music on the classic dance music label Bonzai Progressive and had his first appearance on Tiësto's In Search Of Sunrise 4 - Latin America with People I Used To Know coming out on Gesture Music; a year later, Green Astronauts, a somewhat left-field trance record came out on Tiësto's own record label and was also featured on his mix compilation In Search Of Sunrise 5 - Los Angeles. He followed this up in 2009 when Whenever I May Find Her was featured on In Search Of Sunrise 7 - Asia. Producing and DJing mainly dance music in the following years, Joni has been active under a wide variety of artist names such as A Boy Called Joni, LNQ, JPL, Ljungqvist and more releasing music on Blackhole Recordings, Bonzai Progressive, Anjunadeep and others. Joni now produces music and audio in more fields on his own JPL Music. “My work is about trying to sonically describe my own emotions, thoughts, and feelings that I experience in the different situations that I am in, such as the things that I see and the moments I live through. Sometimes the music is somber and cold and very digital in nature; other times it is hopeful and warm and more human in nature – but one does not exclude the other. My music is really an observation of both the external and the internal in my life. I learned to use computers, musical instruments, and other devices to translate these ideas I had in my head into actual music and sound. The use of different methods and techniques for this purpose depends often on impulse and what tools I have at hand. Most often it is a computer, but other times it is a field recording or an instrument. Just like my music, the technique to make it is often contextual as well. I find what inspires me the most are usually small moments in everyday life; times you share with a loved one, a landscape on your commute or a glimpse of the night sky on a dark day.” About The DJ Sessions - “The DJ Sessions” is a Twitch/Mixcloud "Featured Partner” live streaming/podcast series featuring electronic music DJ's/Producers via live mixes/interviews and streamed/distributed to a global audience.
