Comenzamos recordando al cantante Celio González. Junto al Conjunto "Jóvenes del Cayo", el Conjunto del pianista Luis Santi y el Conjunto "Casino" ganó prestigio en el ambiente musical de los primeros años 50. En 1955 paso a integrar la delantera vocal del conjunto "Sonora Matancera" en la cual se mantuvo hasta comienzos de los años 60. A continuación la sonoridad de los jazz bands cubanos a través de tres obras del gran Bebo Valdés. La orquesta "Riverside", bajo la conducción del saxofonista Pedro Vila, nos trae de vuelta las antiguas emisiones de la CMQ RadioCentro y las producciones de la etiqueta independiente "Puchito" de mediados de los años 50. Los títulos: "Ritmando chachachá", "Güempa" y "Oye como gozo mama". De La Habana a Nueva York nos vamos con el son capetillo del tresero Arsenio Rodríguez. Presencia del conjunto sonero cubano en la banda sonora de la gran ciudad gracias al talento del ciego maravilloso. Repasando la discografia cubana de los años 40 y 50 volvemos al reinado de los boleros morunos en las victrolas: Domingo Lugo y el Conjunto Club, Barbarito Diez con la orquesta de Antonio María Romeu, Julio Valdés con el conjunto de Severino Ramos, Merceditas Valdés con Papín y sus rumberos, Roberto Espí con el Conjunto Casino, Orestes Macías con la orquesta Velvet y Orlando Vallejo con el conjunto de Roberto Faz. Más del catálogo "Puchito" en los minutos finales. En 1954 su fundador Jesús Goris propició el debut discográfico del grupo "Guaguancó Matancero" bajo la dirección de Florencio Calle, con sus inigualables cantantes Saldiguera, Juan y Virula. Rumba y guaguancó en la discografia independiente cubana gracias al empeño de Gorís. En su etiqueta, simultáneamente, vieron la luz las primeras grabaciones de "Papín y sus rumberos" con Fuico como vocalista principal. En clave de rumba y guaguancó Carlos Embale despide el programa.
