What's up, dudes? I've got Justice Ducks Laramy Wells from Moving Panels and Art Kilmer from A Cozy Christmas here with me to talk about the Terror that Flaps in the Night! Yes, it's Darkwing Duck! The hero had a Christmas episode in ‘91 entitled “It's a Wonderful Leaf!” DW's old nemesis Bushroot is up to no good, and only we can stop him! When plant/duck hybrid Dr. Reginald Bushroot goes shopping on Christmas Eve, he's bullied into returning to crime. Meanwhile, Darkwing Duck and his sidekick Launchpad trim the tree at home. Gosalyn is excited for Christmas, and can scarcely contain her desire for presents. Bushroot gets revenge on the mall goers who dehumanized him with the help of anthropomorphic Christmas trees. Luckily, DW happens to be there too. After a thrilling fight, Bushroot creates tree toppers that can extend his command over many Christmas trees. He uses them to steal presents a la Dr. Seuss. A chase ensues, and DW manages to freeze the garden-variety (pun intended) criminal and recover the presents. Well, he recovers all except his neighbors' presents. In an act of charity, Gosalyn donates her presents to Honker and his family.Christmas tree mutants? Yep. Candy cane and Christmas light weapons? Got ‘em. Rosebud? That's in there too! So don your costume, equip your grappling gun, and let's get dangerous with this episode on Darkwing Duck!Moving PanelsFB : @MovingPanels Twitter: @MovingPanels IG: @movingpanels A Cozy Christmas FB: @cozychristmaspodcastIG: @cozychristmaspodcastTwitter: @CozyXmasPodBookshelf OdysseyGive us a buzz! The awful truth is SAG is still on strike but the bonus is that we are joined by artist and former celebrity gossip writer Ted Casablanca (Bruce Bibby) for an extra special episode of the show. Ted was a mainstay in celebrity journalism in the ‘90s and ‘00s working for Premiere and E!, most notably his programs, The Gossip Show and his column-turned show, The Awful Truth. We talk about EVERYTHING with Ted. From Valley of the Dolls to Mamma Mia, from the Oscars to Sharon Stone and her horse. Ted was a complete delight who humored baby Anne and Damian's every wish! Although a tad late, the review of issue four of Dynamite's Darkwing Duck comic without a title is here. Stan and Jordan discuss the good and the bad of the issue with a very special guest, Aaron Sparrow! Drake Mallard comes out of retirement to prune the evil plans of Bushroot and put his family back together. Aaron Sparrow offers his insights into the comic industry, the Dynamite Darkwing comics and tantalizing tidbits about the Boom and Joe Books saga. So grab a cold glass of lemonade(i really hope that's lemonade) and enjoy this extra special episode. SPOILER ALERT! We're back with the fourth issue of Dynamite's Darkwing Duck comic series where we see the return of Bushroot and the status quo! Will Drake put on the mask and cape again? Is Honker about to become tonight's dessert menu? AND WHAT IS THAT YELLOW LIQUID, MORGANA?! Also we'd like to issue a CORRECTION because after we recorded this episode, it was announced that Dynamite will in fact be continuing the series past Issue 6! You can almost smell the finality, because today Mike and Tiffany are reviewing the very last issue of Darkwing Duck (so far). In "Dawn of the Day of the Return of the Living Spud part 2" (Joe Books #8) Posey is once again on the loose, Gizmoduck flaunts his new look and Bushroot gets all emotional. Will the Earth succumb to the Potatopocalypse? In addition, a lot of mysteries remain unsolved and many new threads are set up that don't go anywhere. But does it all combine into an ending for the ages or were we let down? You've gotten this far - you know you're going to check it out! Welcome back for issue 3 of the Boom Studios Darkwing Duck comic! In "The Duck Knight Returns part 3", our heroic trio is finally back together, Negaduck learns Darkwing's secret and the CEO of the Quackwerks Corporation is finally revealed! Who is it? You'll have to listen to find out. Also, Tiffany talks about her favorite movies and Mike reviews the new Darkwing Duck Q-Fig. So be sure to dodge Bushroot's prize turnips and tune in to The St Canard Files! Merry Christmas, St Canardians! Today, Mike and Stan are bringing you one final Darkwing comic review for 2021. In "Salad Daze", we get a rare solo headlining appearance by Bushroot, who is creating vicious, villainous vegetable zombies! It's an early comic but one that is very true to the show. It even features Gosalyn and Honker! In addition, we talk a little bit about Christmas and Mike gives his own opinions about the Negaduck Q-Fig. Also, what's going on with that Disney Afternoon book? So pour some eggnog, hang your stockings and enjoy! Links- https://linktr.ee/StCanardFiles DW #DarkwingDuck #Ducktales #DisneyAfternoon This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Today Mike and Stan are discussing "Fluffy's Reign of Terror!", the third and final installment of the Fluffy trilogy comic. The plotting pussycat of peril plans one last attack on mankind, Darkwing catches a missile and Megavolt, Liquidator and Bushroot just show up and...do random stuff. Plus Gosalyn for all of two panels. Is this the triumphant end this story deserved, or a complete disappointment? The only way to find out is to listen. Stan also gives us a first hand review of the newly released Q Fiq Negaduck. So hop in your River Ratchatcher (yes, that's a thing!) and enjoy! Welcome to the big house! With Will at the Huntsville Comic Con, Mike is joined once again by Owen Callais to discuss that fan favorite episode, "Jail Bird". In it, Darkwing tries to get himself busted, Negaduck goes for a power play (literally) and we say goodbye to Bushroot, Quackerjack and Liquidator. Is Darkwing out of character in this one? What do we think of the monstrous Mega Negaduck? And which villain gets all the best scenes? Give us a listen, but watch out for Demolition Duck! We've been slimed! Today on the St Canard Files we take a look at "Slime Okay, You're Okay", where Gosalyn becomes a ravenous slime creature! It's a weird one (and Darkwing definitely isn't the best dad in it) but we also get Bushroot and Spike, so we're really happy about that. Before we start, we talk a little bit about Dinosaurs and The Muppet Show on Disney+ as well as our experiences with slime as kids. So go find a friend and give it a listen! Today, get ready for brains against brawn! Darkwing battles some real flower power when he goes against a daisy with an attitude in "The Incredible Bulk". We get the long-awaited return of Spike, lots more Bushroot, a ridiculously buff Darkwing Duck and some very unfortunate lab rats. Plus, is Launchpad really that dumb? We discuss it all. So don't miss this episode or you'll be a basket case! A Bushroot Tribute So far all the members of the Fearsome Five have gotten 5 gas gun canister ratings...except Bushroot. So, to give Bushroot his due, Mike talks with one of Bushroot's creators, writer and past St Canard Files guest Jim Peterson.
