The Last Mission

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana discuss the 1984 spy adventure movie Cloak & Dagger.  We did a 180 on our summer of sexploitation and are now focusing on some of the kid friendly movies of the year.  This one stars the kid from E.T. following up that masterpiece with...this.  Sophomore Slump?  Possibly.  The recently late Dabney Coleman plays the imaginary friend AND father to our star and none of that makes sense.  This kid has huge daddy issues.  This movie centers around a video game hiding secret plans, as most movies in the 80s did.   But of course, the main reason we are doing this movie is because it was filmed in San Antonio, and one of the hosts of the E&N podcast just so happen to be in SA during the filming of the movie.   There is a chair lift in the background of one scene that just might house this host.  Should they have a imdb page based on this?   They sure think so.  Enjoy the pod.

IN THIS EPISODE: The governor called it “mass murder” in 1942 when forty-seven patients died at the Oregon State Hospital – all within hours. All of them, poisoned. Finding the murderer and motive would lead to an unexpected conclusion, and to an unrelenting haunting.
