In episode 91 of GT247's Tigers in 20, host and lead writer Christian Fowler, GT247 founder Brooks Hansen, GT247 digital content producer Kenny Stubblefield and GT247 veteran Jonah Jordan discuss the latest in Memphis football and basketball. To begin the episode, the crew recaps Memphis' win over Central Arkansas and gives their biggest takeaways from the game, including the play of DJ Jeffries, Alex Lomax and Jayden Hardaway among others. After massive shooting struggles through the first four games of the year, Jeffries looked like himself again against UCA. Although it was against an inferior opponent, it's good for Jeffries to build his confidence before AAC play begins. Through five games of his junior season, Lomax has struggled heavily, and the crew explains why he is struggling and how it can be fixed moving forward. Memphis is still looking for a consistent point guard, so it would be big for them if Lomax stepped up at some point this season. During last week's episode, Fowler, Hansen and Stubblefield raved about Jayden Hardaway, and he had his best game of the season against the Bears. Hardaway looked confident, decisive and efficient, and he can definitely be a contributor for the Tigers this season. Next, the topic shifts to football and Memphis' loss against Tulane in New Orleans. The Tigers have now lost two consecutive games in the Big Easy, but Fowler and Jordan explain why they are optimistic for the future. Ryan Silverfield has underwent the most unlucky year for a first-year head coach, and he should be able to turn things around next year. Although Memphis has struggled this season, they are still 6-3 and will go to a bowl game if they accept a bid. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In episode 66 of GT247's Tigers in 20, host and lead writer Christian Fowler, GT247 founder Brooks Hansen and digital content producer Kenny Stubblefield discuss the latest in Memphis football and basketball. To begin the episode, the trio discusses the rumors surrounding DJ Jeffries, and they quickly put the speculation to rest. Many fans began panicking when Jeffries made a post on Snapchat earlier this week, but the GT247 crew explains that there is no reason to worry. After the discussion on Jeffries, Fowler, Hansen and Stubblefield discuss Memphis' new indoor practice facility. University of Memphis President M. David Rudd posted a picture of the facility on Twitter, and it looked even better than expected to the GT247 trio. Following the talk about the practice facility and how much the program has risen in recent years, the GT247 crew breaks down some of their favorite players in the 2021 class that Memphis is recruiting. Throughout the discussion, Fowler, Hansen and Stubblefield break down five-stars Chet Holmgren, JD Davison, Harrison Ingram, Moussa Diabate and more. The trio gives a scouting report on multiple players, and they also discuss some very interesting player comparisons for the Tigers' targets. On Tuesday, it was announced that there will be no summer AAU basketball or camps, and the GT247 crew explains how detrimental it can be to college basketball and the players in the '21 class. In episode 60 of Tigers in 20, lead writer and host Christian Fowler is joined by GoTigers247 digital content creator Kenny Stubblefield to discuss Memphis' win over UConn, the impact of DJ Jeffries' injury and National Signing Day among other topics. To begin the episode, Fowler and Stubblefield recap Memphis' seven-point win over UConn. The duo both point to reasons why the Tigers were able to pull out the win, including Lance Thomas' second consecutive double-digit game. After the discussion of UConn, the GT247 crew discusses how Memphis can overcome the loss of DJ Jeffries. The freshman forward will be out 4-6 weeks with a PCL injury, and Fowler goes in-depth on who he believes must step up in Jeffries' absence. Next, Fowler and Stubblefield take a look forward to the Tigers upcoming games inside the FedExForum. Memphis will host Temple and USF this week, and they are both must-win conference games. With a 16-5 overall record and a 5-3 record in the AAC, Fowler and Stubblefield explain why the next two games are so important for Penny Hardaway and the Tigers. Finally, the duo previews Wednesday's National Signing Day. Ryan Silverfield and the Tigers staff signed 14 players in the Early Signing Period, so the signees will be much smaller on Wednesday. Three-star linebacker Davian Mayo and JUCO defensive lineman Maurice White committed to Memphis on Sunday, and they are both expected to sign on Wednesday. Learn more about your ad choices. In episode 58 of Tigers in 20, lead writer and host Christian Fowler and GoTigers247 founder Brooks Hansen discuss the latest in Memphis Tigers basketball and football. Fowler and Hansen begin the episode by discussing the new starting lineup Memphis coach Penny Hardaway has used in the last two games. In last Thursday's win over Cincinnati, the starters combined for 50 of the Tigers 60 points, and the crew explains what they like about the new starters. With Alex Lomax and Malcolm Dandridge now in as starters, Fowler explains how this lineup brings a different level of toughness to the floor. Hansen discusses the lineups ability to start games quickly, and he also explains why he hopes DJ Jeffries continues to play like he did against Cincinnati. Next, Fowler and Hansen address the Tigers bench and debate how the bench can contribute more moving forward. Freshmen Damion Baugh and Boogie Ellis have been ineffective lately, and the GT247 crew discusses what they can do to make more of an impact moving forward. Memphis now has a solid starting lineup, but they still need more help from the bench. Finally, the duo answers questions from the boards about their favorite moments in Tigers history, the over/under for wins for the football team next season and Isaiah Stokes among other topics.
