Hardaway says many organizations treat AI as a tooling decision, when it is really a change management challenge. Giving employees access to AI does not automatically create adoption, competence or business value. Hardaway says AI can help draft content, messages and plans, but drafting is rarely the real bottleneck. The harder work is leadership alignment. “Draft was never the bottleneck. AI can support routine updates and proactive communication, but in moments of consequence, customers often need a human in the loop.
