Dr. Kurschner critiqued the post-tribulation argument that claims “at the last day” and its association with the resurrection in John 6:39–40 supports a posttrib rapture. “Now this is the will of the one who sent me—that I should not lose one person of every one he has given me, but raise them all up at […] Related Posts: God's Eschatological Wrath Begins AFTER the… For THIS Reason the 'Last Trump' Cannot Be the… Why Isaiah 26:19–21 Supports the Prewrath View - Ep. 171 The post ‘At the Last Day' in John 6:39–40 – A Response to Posttribulationism – Ep. 173 appeared first on ESCHATOS MINISTRIES.

Dr. Alan Kurschner responded to a popular posttribulation view that has God's eschatological wrath of the trumpet judgements in the book of Revelation occurring before the resurrection and the rapture, which they place at the seventh trumpet. This view contradicts not only the narrative in the book of Revelation but the clear teachings of Jesus […] Related Posts: For THIS Reason the 'Last Trump' Cannot Be the… The Seven Trumpet Judgments ARE God's Wrath - Ep. 170 Why the Bowls Follow AFTER the Trumpet Judgements:… The post God's Eschatological Wrath Begins AFTER the Resurrection and Rapture – Ep. 172 appeared first on ESCHATOS MINISTRIES.
Scripture For Today: Colossians 1:9 “For This Reason, Since The Day We Heard About You, We Have Not Stopped Praying For You. We Continually Ask God To Fill You With The Knowledge Of His Will Through All The Wisdom And Understanding That The Spirit Gives,” Whatsoever You Ask – Part One We have been studying about the importance of praying IN JESUS NAME. This one thing can move you from wondering IF God hears your prayers to KNOWING GOD hears your prayers! Why? Because Jesus said so! Amen! Let's look at John 16:23-24, “And in that day, you will ask me nothing. Verily, verily I say unto you, WHATSOEVER you shall ask the Father, IN MY NAME, He will give it to you. Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name. ASK and you SHALL receive, that your joy may be full.” Focus, for just a moment, on that word, WHATSOEVER” in verse 23. Then, in the very next verse, Jesus said, “Hitherto (or, up until now), you've asked nothing in my name: ASK…” Do you see that colon after NAME? A colon means SO or SO THAT. Here, Jesus is saying, “Up until now, you've asked God for nothing in my name. SO - ASK!” Praise God! He is instructing His disciples to begin praying to God the Father IN HIS NAME and when they do so, they WILL receive whatsoever they are asking God for! Amen! Do you see any limitations that Jesus is stipulating here? I don't see any, do you? We have already established the fact that you need to pray according the Word of God and God's Will. So you can't start asking for $10 million and say “In the Name of Jesus” and expect to receive it. At least for most of us. There may be someone who needs it to accomplish something the Lord has put upon them to do. But I'm talking here in general terms. Amen! We have been reading this verse for years. But for many of us, we let the full significance of what Jesus has been teaching to slip right past us. We do that too often with the Bible. It's time we slow down and actually see and read and understand what is written there. Don't you agree? Remember, you need to ask in accordance with God's Word and God's Will. You cannot ask for things that would violate His Word or His Will. The point I'm trying to make here is that IF you are praying scripturally based on the Word of God, you don't need to ask, “IF it be thy will…” Why? Because if you pray according the Word of God – you already KNOW if it is God's Will. Amen! Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good! That word WHATSOEVER means more to some people than it does others. WHATSOEVER to some people means just a little bit of something. Some people believe that WHATSOEVER in John 16:23 means whatsoever you ask for “spiritually” but not materially. Does it say “WHATSOEVER you ask for “spiritually” or “except material things?” NO. The Word of God explains itself. All you have to do is three things. READ IT. BELIEVE IT. RECEIVE IT. Amen! Yes, it is that simple. It is man that has complicated things. Not God. Certainly not Jesus. Let's pray! *Correction: At 19:33, I meant to say “last trump” not “the seventh trumpet.” In this episode I gave the MAIN reason why the seventh trumpet in the book of Revelation cannot be identified with Paul's reference of the “last trump” in 1 Corinthians 15. God's fingerprint is what matters for a great church. Paul has never actually met the Roman church. He wasn't the one who planted this church. According to church history, no one knows who founded the church in Roman. However, theologians assert that the church was the product of Christian Jews or proselytes who had returned home after their conversion on the day of Pentecost. In Acts 2, Jewish people from all over had come to Jerusalem to celebrate Shavuot (the feast of weeks) when (as we know) the Spirit of God fell on the disciples; Pentecost. Immediately after this, the Apostles proclaimed the Gospel, and Scripture says, "about 3,000 souls were added to the church" that day. Luke even records the origins of those who heard this good news in verses 9-11. Among those listed, Luke says, "visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes." So the thought is that these new Christians went back to Rome, and the church(es) were established. This seems more than feasible. But for today's message, the point is that Paul has never met them. Romans 1:8-10 shows this. Paul writes, "First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world. 9 For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the [preaching of the] Gospel of His Son, is my witness [as to] how unceasingly I make mention of you, 10 always in my prayers making request, if perhaps now AT LAST by the will of God I may SUCCEED in coming to you." It seems Paul has longed to visit the church(es) in Rome but was never able. [Rom 1:13 NASB] "I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that often I have planned to come to you (and have been prevented so far)" Romans 15:20 tells us why he's been prevented. Paul says, "And thus I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, so that I would not build on another man's foundation; 21 but as it is written, "They who had no news of Him shall see, and they who have not heard shall understand." 22 FOR THIS REASON, I have often been prevented from coming to you;" So 1. Paul has never met these people and that because someone else laid the foundation of Christ there. For any leaders in the room, a great church doesn't require our fingerprints; only God's!
