The Growth Mindset in a Christian Context Paul challenged believers to put effort into their spiritual life. Change is a part of growth and we should desire to be more like Jesus. A Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit who is working to make us like Jesus. Change will happen. The joy is that we can embrace it and benefit from working with God instead of against Him. A growth-minded believer: Welcomes challenges as opportunities for sanctification (James 1:2–4 NKJV). Perseveres under trial, knowing endurance produces spiritual maturity (Romans 5:3–5 NKJV). Seeks feedback and correction, recognizing rebuke refines faith (Proverbs 27:17 NKJV; Proverbs 12:1 NKJV). Celebrates others' growth, rejoicing when fellow believers flourish (Romans 12:15 NKJV). 2. Practical Implications for Disciple Makers Model a growth mindset by sharing your own struggles and progress in Bible study, prayer, or ministry skills. Set incremental goals for disciples (e.g., memorizing Scripture, leading a small group), celebrating small wins to build confidence (Zechariah 4:10 NKJV). Cultivate “one another” rhythms in your church—regular accountability groups, prayer partnerships, and service teams. Teach the biblical process of growth—explain that sanctification involves trials, correction, and perseverance, rooted in passages like James 1:2–4 (NKJV) and Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV). Lies need to be brought into the light and exchanged for truth. The question should be, “What is God doing? What does HE want me to do?” God empowers His people for His work. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” —Romans 12:2 (NKJV) Practice: Keep a “mindset journal.” When you catch yourself thinking “I'll never grow in this,” write it down and pray: “Lord, show me Your truth here.” Replace it with a Scriptural affirmation (“I can grow by God's grace”—Philippians 4:13). 2. Meditate on God's Word Daily A growth mindset flourishes when immersed in truth. Scripture both reveals God's power to change us and gives the roadmap. Incremental victories build confidence that God can grow you further. “For who has despised the day of small things?…” —Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV) Practice: Choose one discipline (e.g., Scripture memory, daily prayer journaling, service) and set a tiny goal: memorize one verse a week, pray five minutes daily, serve once a month. He's not reacting—He's reigning. 2. God's Sovereignty Fuels Evangelism and Disciple-Making Because God is sovereign over salvation, we can evangelize boldly, knowing He draws hearts to Himself. “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” —John 6:37 (NKJV) “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” —John 6:44 (NKJV) Why it matters: The results of disciple-making aren't on your shoulders. You sow and water; God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6–7 NKJV). 3. God's Sovereignty Grounds Our Identity and Purpose You are not random. You are created, saved, and called intentionally. “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” —Psalm 139:16 (NKJV) “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) Why it matters: Your life, your calling, and even your challenges are part of God's good and sovereign plan. 4. It's being marketed as helpful, but what's emerging is a tool that can literally monitor and interact with your physical world — a watcher embedded into your daily life. It learns everything about you — and you don't even realize you're training it. 2. Palantir Technologies: This is one of the most powerful data-aggregation companies in the world. They create detailed profiles on individuals using surveillance, social media, financial transactions, medical history, and more. It's not just for terrorism prevention — it's the architecture of control. What you say, what you post, where you go — it's all being recorded and mined. These tools are laying the foundation for total control, where you will be known, tracked, predicted, and possibly restricted based on your beliefs, behaviors, or resistance. We are watching the system of Babylon rise right before our eyes. The beast system is not coming — it's already here, in prototype form. The only escape is not rebellion, not politics, not fear — it is Jesus Christ. He is our deliverer. He is our strong tower. He is our hiding place. Now is the time to come out of Babylon. The finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross is not just a historical event—it is a living reality that gives us power, identity, and authority right now. This message is a call to return to the power of the cross and to own what was done, so we can walk in complete victory in these end-times. 1. Colossians 2:14-15 (NKJV) “Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” 2. John 19:30 (NKJV) “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!' We have talked about them before and will come back to them again but for now, Know that studying and practicing the spiritual disciplines should be a part of your spiritual life.   Developing personal self-discipline is a key aspect of spiritual growth and daily life, especially for a Christian who is striving to follow Jesus. While spiritual disciplines like prayer, Bible study, and worship are vital, personal self-discipline in everyday activities also plays a significant role in the overall process. Here are practical steps that can help someone develop or increase their personal self-discipline: 1. Set Clear Goals and Priorities Having clear goals allows you to stay focused and motivated. Self-discipline thrives when you have a sense of purpose. Start by determining what is most important to you, both in your spiritual life and personal life. Actionable Step: Write down your goals—spiritual, personal, and professional—and prioritize them. Break them down into smaller, achievable tasks. For example, if your goal is to read through the Bible in a year, break it into daily reading plans. 2. Create a Routine or Schedule A structured routine helps build self-discipline because it instills consistency. When you have a set schedule, you're less likely to be distracted by fleeting desires or emotions. Scripture reveals that there is a difference between God's perfect will—His ultimate, sovereign plan—and His permissible will—what He allows due to human free will, even when it is not His best for us. The key to walking in victory, fulfillment, and divine purpose is seeking God's perfect will and not settling for what He merely allows. Let us dive into Scripture to understand these two aspects of God's will and why it is so important to seek His heart fully. 1. God's Perfect Will: His Sovereign, Best Plan for Us Romans 12:2 (NKJV) “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”   Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”   Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”   Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”   2. God's Permissible Will: What He Allows, but Not His Best Psalm 106:13-15 (NKJV) “They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert. And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.”   1 Samuel 8:6-7 (NKJV) “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us.' So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.'”   Numbers 22:12-13, 19-22 (NKJV) “And God said to Balaam, ‘You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.' Why We Must Seek God's Perfect Will Ephesians 5:17 (NKJV) “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”   Colossians 1:9 (NKJV) “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”   John 4:34 (NKJV) “Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.'”   Conclusion: The Importance of Seeking His Perfect Will Many settle for God's permissible will, pursuing relationships, jobs, or ministries that God allows but that are not His perfect plan. While He may not stop us, the consequences can be costly. We must: 1. Seek Him first (Matthew 6:33). 2. Renew our minds to discern His will (Romans 12:2). 3. Trust Him fully (Proverbs 3:5-6). 4. Pray for wisdom and revelation (Colossians 1:9). By doing this, we will walk in God's perfect will, fulfilling His best for our lives! Let us not be like Israel, demanding what God allows but missing His best. Instead, let us seek His heart and live in His perfect plan!

The world tells us to “manifest” our dreams and to “follow our hearts,” but as Christians, we must surrender our expectations and align ourselves with God's will. His plan is higher, His ways are greater, and when we trust Him, we find peace. Today, we will explore how unrealistic expectations can lead to frustration and how, instead, we should anchor our hope in God's plan. 1. Unrealistic Expectations Lead to Discontentment Proverbs 13:12 (NKJV) “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”   2. Our Ways Are Not God's Ways Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”   3. The drumbeats of war grow louder, and the enemy of our souls desires nothing more than destruction, bloodshed, and death. But as believers, we must recognize the true battle is not of flesh and blood—it is spiritual.  Satan has always sought to bring death, while God is the author of life and peace. Today, let us look at the contrast between the enemy's agenda of destruction and God's call to peace. 1. The Enemy's Desire for Death Satan's strategy has always been to kill, steal, and destroy. Jesus makes this clear in John 10:10: John 10:10 (NKJV) “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” From the very beginning, Satan has sought to bring death. In the Garden of Eden, he deceived Eve, leading to sin and the entrance of death into the world (Genesis 3). When Cain murdered Abel, it was the enemy stirring up jealousy and rage (Genesis 4). Throughout history, Satan has worked to destroy nations, stir up conflict, and lead people into war and bloodshed. 2. Satan Wanted Mass Death in the Days of Moses and Jesus Satan has targeted entire generations for destruction. When Moses was born, Pharaoh, under satanic influence, ordered the murder of every Hebrew baby boy to prevent deliverance. Exodus 1:22 (NKJV) “So Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, ‘Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.'” Similarly, when Jesus was born, Herod, acting as a puppet of the enemy, sought to kill Him by ordering the massacre of innocent children. Matthew 2:16 (NKJV) “Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.” In both instances, Satan tried to destroy deliverers before they could fulfill God's plan. And today, the enemy still stirs nations to war, seeking to destroy millions before they can find salvation. 3. The Enemy Seeks to Stir Up War, But God Calls for Peace As tensions rise in the world, we must recognize the spiritual battle at play. The enemy seeks to manipulate leaders into conflict, pushing nations toward devastation. Yet Jesus calls His followers to a different path: Matthew 5:9 (NKJV) “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” God does not delight in war and destruction. He desires for His people to be agents of peace, speaking truth and interceding for the nations. He warns against unjust violence and reminds us of His power over the plans of the wicked. Psalm 46:9 (NKJV) “He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.” 4. The Ultimate War Is Spiritual While earthly conflicts rage, the real war is spiritual. The Apostle Paul reminds us that our true battle is not against flesh and blood: Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Satan wants us distracted by physical wars so that we do not see the spiritual battle. He wants to fill the earth with death, but God has given us weapons of warfare that are mighty through Him. Our battle is won through prayer, fasting, and standing firm in God's truth. 5. God's Desire for Life and Redemption Despite the enemy's schemes, God is sovereign. His heart is always to save and redeem, not to destroy. 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” Though war may seem inevitable in the eyes of the world, we as believers must not fall into despair or hatred. Instead, we must pray for leaders to seek wisdom, for people to turn to Jesus, and for God's peace to reign. Stand for Peace, Stand in Prayer ✅ The enemy wants war, but God calls for peace. Satan wants death, but Jesus offers life. The world is being pushed toward destruction, but as believers, we must stand in the gap, intercede, and declare God's will over the nations.  Let us pray and declare God's peace over our world. Amen.

Many of the struggles we experience in relationships stem from unhealed wounds, whether from past hurts, trauma, sin, or unmet expectations. God desires for us to be whole, and when we walk in healing, our relationships reflect His love, peace, and purpose. Today, we will examine what the Bible says about healing and how a healed person interacts in a healthy relationship. We will also contrast this with relationships that are broken due to unhealed wounds. I. God's Desire for Our Healing Before we talk about relationships, we must first understand that healing is a priority in God's kingdom. He does not want His children to walk through life carrying pain and brokenness. 1. God is Our Healer Exodus 15:26 (NKJV) “and said, ‘If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. The Danger of Unhealed Wounds in Relationships When we do not allow God to heal us, our relationships can become dysfunctional. Hurt people hurt people. Unresolved pain can manifest as bitterness, insecurity, control, or fear, leading to unhealthy interactions. 3. A Bitter Heart Defiles Others Hebrews 12:15 (NKJV) “looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;” 4. Unforgiveness Blocks Healing Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV) “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” 5. Brokenness in Relationships is Often a Result of Our Own Wounds James 4:1-2 (NKJV) “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.”   III. What a Healed Person Looks Like in a Relationship A person who has been healed by God is able to engage in relationships with love, peace, and wisdom. Let's look at the characteristics of a healed person. 6. A Healed Person Walks in Love 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NKJV) “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 7. A Healed Person Brings Peace into Relationships Romans 12:18 (NKJV) “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” 8. A Healed Person Listens and Responds with Wisdom Proverbs 15:1 (NKJV) “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” 9. A Healed Person is Secure in Christ Colossians 2:10 (NKJV) “and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” 10. A Healed Person is Guided by the Holy Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” The Call to Healing: If you find yourself in broken relationships, ask yourself: Am I fully healed? Have I surrendered my wounds to Jesus? Many times, we want others to change, but God is first asking us to let Him transform our hearts. Healing is not just for us—it is for those around us. A healed person brings health into every relationship, while an unhealed person can unintentionally spread pain. Today, let's commit to allowing the Lord to heal our wounds, renew our minds, and make us whole so that our relationships can reflect His glory. If you recognize that you have unhealed wounds that are affecting your relationships, I invite you to lay them at the feet of Jesus today. Whether it's bitterness, unforgiveness, insecurity, or fear, God is here to heal you. Pray and ask Him to restore every broken place so that you can love others as He intended. While some are called to these offices, many have misallocated themselves, stepping into roles they were never anointed for. This is why many believers feel stuck, frustrated, and ineffective—because they are operating outside of God's divine appointment. God has promised that when we walk in our true calling, whatever we touch will be blessed and wherever we walk will prosper. But that promise is conditional—it only applies when we are in the right place, doing what He has truly called us to do. If we misstep and self-appoint ourselves, we risk missing the greatest blessings God has for us. Let's dive into the Word to understand why misalignment leads to stagnation and why true fulfillment comes from walking in our God-given assignment. 1. The Five-Fold Ministry Is Given by Christ, Not Self-Appointed Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV) “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” 2. Not Everyone is Called to Be a Teacher or Pastor James 3:1 (NKJV) “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.” 3. Every Part of the Body Has a Function 1 Corinthians 12:14-18 (NKJV) “For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,' is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,' is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.” 4. God Calls, He Does Not Need Human Approval Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” 5. Many People Run Without Being Sent Jeremiah 23:21 (NKJV) “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.” 6. True Blessing Comes From Alignment Deuteronomy 11:24 (NKJV) “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours.” 7. Many Are Stuck Because They Are Not in Their True Calling Ecclesiastes 10:10 (NKJV) “If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success.” 8. Jesus Himself Appointed Disciples Mark 3:14 (NKJV) “Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach.” 9. Operating Outside of Your Calling Leads to Trouble Acts 19:13-16 (NKJV) “Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits… But the evil spirit answered and said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?' Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them.” 10. The Key to Success is Obedience Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV) “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God… the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”   God's greatest blessings come when we obey His voice. When we stop chasing titles and positions, and instead submit to our true Kingdom calling, God will bless our steps and everything we touch. Fellowship As A Spiritual Discipline Introduction Fellowship : a deep, spiritual, and relational bond among believers in Christ, united through the Holy Spirit. Fellowship is often undervalued as a spiritual discipline but it is essential for Christian growth, accountability, and encouragement. Hebrews 10:24-25 - 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. 1: Biblical Foundation of Fellowship 1.1. Fellowship in the Early Church Acts 2:42-47 (NKJV) "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." Fellowship was not just social but an intentional, spiritual practice. Community: teaching, breaking bread, prayer, and sharing in each other's needs. 1.2. Theological Importance of Fellowship 1 John 1:3 (NKJV) "That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ." Fellowship with one another is rooted in our fellowship with God the Father and Jesus Christ. It's not just about socializing; it's about participation in the life of God through Christ. 2: Fellowship as a Spiritual Discipline 2.1. The Role of Fellowship in Christian Growth Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV) "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Fellowship is a necessary part of Christian life because it encourages us to love one another and perform good works. Regular gathering in worship and fellowship for mutual encouragement. 2.2. Fellowship as Encouragement and Accountability Galatians 6:1-2 (NKJV) "Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Fellowship involves mutual care, helping each other through struggles, and bearing one another's burdens. 3: Fellowship and the Importance of Community for Spiritual Growth 3.1. Using Spiritual Gifts Within the Community 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NKJV) "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all." Fellowship involves the active use of spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ. Not isolating one's spiritual gifts but using them in the context of community for the mutual edification of all believers. 3.2. Living Out the "One Anothers" of the New Testament Romans 12:10 (NKJV) "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another." Galatians 5:13 (NKJV) "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Ephesians 4:2-3 (NKJV) "With all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Colossians 3:13 (NKJV) "Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do." We all have a call to "one another" living: love one another, serve one another, bear with one another, and forgive one another. These relational commands can only truly be lived out within the community of believers. Fellowship, in community, is where we practice these commands. 3.3. The Community and Spiritual Growth Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV) "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Fellowship in community provides the context for mutual sharpening and growth. Accountability, prayer, correction, and encouragement are critical in the spiritual formation of every body of believers. 4: Practical Ways to Cultivate Fellowship 4.1. Intentional Relationships Romans 12:10 (NKJV) "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another." Because we are all so busy, making fellowship a priority is important, creating opportunities for one-on-one and group connection. 4.2. The Role of Shared Meals and Hospitality Acts 2:46 (NKJV) "So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart." Fellowship is deeply connected to shared meals and hospitality in the early church. What are practical ways this could be applied today? 4.3. Prayer and Spiritual Conversations Matthew 18:20 (NKJV) "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." Jesus gave this clear command in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. The Church as a Witness The local church also serves as a witness of God's love, truth, and holiness to the world. Jesus said in Acts 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8, NKJV) The local church's mission extends beyond its walls. It is called to bear witness to Christ, not just in its immediate community (Jerusalem), but also to the surrounding areas (Judea and Samaria), and even to the ends of the earth. This requires both local outreach and global mission efforts. The Church as a People of Fellowship and Discipleship A central aspect of the local church's mission is fostering a community where believers can grow in their faith. In Acts 2:42, we see the early church's commitment to fellowship and discipleship: "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Acts 2:42, NKJV) Through teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer, the church strengthens its members to live out their faith and equip them to serve in the mission of Christ. A local church is a place where Christians come together to grow deeper in their relationship with God and each other. The Church as a People of Service The local church is also called to serve both its members and the surrounding community. In Galatians 6:10, Paul encourages the church to actively do good: "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." (Galatians 6:10, NKJV) This service is a practical outworking of the love of Christ. It involves caring for the needy, providing for the poor, and supporting those who are suffering. Serving within the church and in the wider community is part of the mission to represent Christ and His love in tangible ways. Conclusion To sum it up, the local church has a clear and vital mission: to make disciples, to be witnesses of Christ, to foster fellowship and discipleship among believers, and to serve those in need. This mission is not just about activities; it's about living out the gospel in every area of life. The world is in turmoil, and there's an urgency in the Spirit for us as believers to understand our role in this hour. The signs are all around us—wars, earthquakes, lawlessness, and hearts growing cold (Matthew 24:6-12). In such times, it is easy to get caught up in fear, anger, and judgment. Yet, the Lord calls us to something greater. He calls us to mercy and grace. Today, I want to talk about why exercising mercy and grace is not just an option but a necessity, especially in this critical hour. Not only does grace help others, it transforms and blesses us as well. Matthew 24:12-13 (NKJV) "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved." James 2:13 (NKJV) "For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment." Matthew 5:7 (NKJV) "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." Titus 2:11-12 (NKJV) "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age." We are called to love, to show mercy, and to extend grace, not only because it blesses others but because it changes us. Grace empowers us, strengthens us, and keeps us walking in the power of Christ. Now more than ever, we need to reflect the heart of God to a lost and broken world. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Grace gives us the strength to endure. And in the end, it is by His grace that we will stand firm until the very end, hearing the words we long for: "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

Our time on this earth is just a wisp of time, but eternity is forever and ever. (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NKJV).  But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,  whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2Corinthians 4:3-4, NKJV). And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. It is in these moments that we must remember that God has a purpose for each of us, and sometimes, we are placed in challenging circumstances to fulfill His divine plan. Today, we will explore the idea of being chosen for a particular challenge or "strike" in life, drawing inspiration from Scripture. Scripture 1: Esther 4:14 (NKJV) “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Scripture 2: Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Scripture 3: Romans 8:28 (NKJV)** “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Scripture 4: Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Scripture 5: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' The challenges, or "strikes," we face are not without meaning. Episode 254-Jesus Loves Me Romans 8:38-39 are some of the most dramatic, poetic and impactful words in scripture. They are so monumental that we sometimes just pass right by them. However, when we finally internalize what they really mean to us it will change how we view God and drive us to trust Him more.   “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 NKJV    For eight chapters in Romans, Paul has been laying out the plan of salvation and sharing who Jesus is and why trusting Him is important. In this conclusion to the first part of Romans, Paul is telling these new believers that Jesus' love for them is a trustworthy foundation  for their faith. It will stand any test they might throw at it. His conclusion is a convincing and persuasive argument that NOTHING, can separate those of us who are in Christ from Jesus love for us which gives us access to Father God.   The depths of God's love is seen in what Jesus did. It should be a big deal for someone to say, “I love you.” As awesome as that is, it's quite another thing entirely for them to tell us that nothing will stop them from loving us. Nothing.    I love my husband. We've been married for 44 years. Not every year was perfect, but the imperfect years were mostly my fault. I say mostly because it does take two, right? See, God gave me a gem when he gave me Roy. He is calm, patience, loving. He has a servant nature that I could never outdo.    He loves me and I love him, but are there things that could separate me from his love? I'm sure there are. But he has already put up with a lot  from me, think 250 more pounds on my body. That still didn't stop him from loving me.   However, if I yelled and screamed at him every day, that would do a lot of damage to our relationship. Are there things that could come between even the most committed couple? Yes, I've witnessed it happen to those who thought they'd be married forever and then out of the blue, something happened to separate them.   My question then is how can God say that there would be nothing at all that could ever stop Him from loving me? We are humans and we aren't perfect. We learned that back in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” All means all, everyone, yes, me and you, too.    But here's where Romans 6:23 ESV comes in. “ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This verse solidifies our fate as sinners, but it also gives us the way out. Jesus is God's pure gift of love to us. It is only because of what Jesus did that God can love us.    Without Jesus willfully agreeing to leave His heavenly throne and come to earth as a human, die on the cross, be buried, rise again from the grave, and ascend to heaven, God couldn't love us. We are sinners by nature. It took God with skin on to rescue us when we accept His gift of salvation. It is in these moments that we must remember that God has a purpose for each of us, and sometimes, we are placed in challenging circumstances to fulfill His divine plan. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries. Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married for over 50 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren. SCRIPTURES  Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
