This sermon was preached at Crosswater Community Church in Sultan, Wa on 9/8/2024 In Paul's first letter to Timothy, he uncovers how the gospel not only changes our beliefs but also shapes our daily lives highlighting the practical, visible transformation that comes from living out the gospel, from how we conduct ourselves to how we lead and serve in the church. As we are Shaped by the Gospel, we are challenged to reflect the power of the gospel in every area of our lives, becoming living testimonies of its transforming grace. GOD's mercy is not given in vain. As we receive HIS mercy, we get to display JESUS and HIS grace to help people believe in HIM for eternal life. That's being Shaped by the Gopsel!

Nothing but the GospelThere is nothing wrong in talking about your testimony when sharing the Gospel. Just be careful about where you place them. For you or we are not the messageWe talk about the experiences of Jesus ChristWe speak about the one who is the perfect one, for we are not perfect outside him. We are God`s messenger on this earth. And as a messenger, we deliver the message. The messenger is not the message. He is the only one who can save us. He died so that we may live.Nothing but the Gospel 2Cor 2:14: 14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. One thing we should understand from this verse is that our victory in Christ is God's own way of showing that He has also wonIt shows that we are God's success story; we are God's attraction. What do you know about Christ if you say you are a believer? What is the knowledge you have about Christ? What information do we have about your Saviour ut the?We have to explain the impact of Christ death, burial and resurrection to those we are preaching the Gospel.Jesus Christ died that you may not go to hell, based on love and faith.Nothing but the GospelWhat then qualify you to share the Gospel? The Spirit of God dwelling in you.The message of the Spirit is about Christ, the testimony of Christ. The Holy Spirit preach and testify about Jesus Christ. We ought to share just the testimony of Christ while preaching the Gospel to others. For that is the message of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit play a major work in the place of preaching. The Holy Spirit bears witness of Jesus ChristEven the Son of Man in his humanity cannot do the work of the Holy Spirit. Instead, the Holy Spirit is confirming the work of Christ on earthWhen preaching the Gospel, as Paul made it clear in 1 Cor 2 :1-4;We should rely only on the power of the Holy Spirit. We must not package the message into a bubble ream. The Gospel has already been set.Hence, there should be no excuse. In the message of the Gospel, we are seeing God's righteousness, and not our righteousness. The Gospel of God is coming to sinners, the Gospel of God is brought to sinners by us.The Gospel of God is telling the sinner to come as you are, for God has already made a way through Jesus Christ.Jesus Christ has already made us right in God's sight, come as you are.Luke 24:47: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. The remission of sin is the forgiveness of sin, which is the message that we share. The message is what God has done through Christ Jesus.God is working through the words that we preached and the word is working through GodWe cannot separate God from the message that we preachedHe is in the messageGod is a fellow labourer with through the messageWhen Jesus gave his Disciples in Meth 28:18-20 or Mark 16:15-20He gave the HimselfSo, we are not just messenger of the message but also messenger of a person in the message Nothing but the GospelSo, don`t be afraid to preach the GospelYou are perfect in Christ Jesus and you don`t have to be knowledgeable enough to shear the GoseplApostle Paul said in 1 Cor 2:1-5 And as for myself, brethren, when I came to you, it was not with surpassing power of eloquence or earthly wisdom that I came, announcing to you that which God had commanded me to bear witness to. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/assumpta-widak/message

The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus (Luke 24:1-12). The women went to the tomb to prepare the body of Christ. But, when they arrived at His tomb; they were shocked to find Jesus was not there. Jesus had Risen. We should all be amazed that the power of death had no control over our savior. We should be amazed that Jesus prophesied that it would happen. Yet, the women would not remember and they would not be believed. To find out why, please listen to this morning's sermon by Pastor Robb. The truth is worth celebrating: He has risen!

In this bonus episode of Pulpit To Pew Johnny tries his best to compare the song To Beat The Devil by Kris Kristofferson to the story of Jesus tested in the wilderness (Luke 4: 1-13). Reverend Dean Gibson entertains Johnny’s tangent and actually makes sense of his ramblings. What is your calling? What does God call you to do? Like Moses (and Kris Kristofferson) what would stop you from doing what God wants you to do? Why a bonus episode? Well, Reverend Gibson and Johnny talks are very free-form and always speak longer than the actual podcast length. There are many reasons to cut segments out of the interview to make the podcast. This 6 minutes was a segment that both Johnny and Beverly thought was fun and insightful and instead of cutting it – they wanted to find a way to share it. Plus, they both like Mr. Kristopherson’s body of work. They hope you enjoy this episode as much as they enjoyed making it.
