How Success is Truly Measured: A Focus on Character Welcome to another episode of the Multifamily Collective! Today, we're diving into what really defines success. Spoiler alert: it's not about accolades, company size, or owning luxurious items. True success is a reflection of your character and how you present yourself in the world. Here are key characteristics that define success: Integrity and Honesty: Success starts with being honest and full of integrity. If you make a mistake or put out misinformation, own it, correct it, and learn from it. Everyone makes mistakes, but how you handle them defines your character. Cultivate Kindness: Be kind to yourself and others. Kindness should be a daily practice—whether to your family, pets, or even the cashier at the grocery store. There are countless opportunities to show kindness every day. Develop Resilience: Adversity is inevitable. Your ability to bounce back, learn from challenges, and keep moving forward is crucial. Whether you're upset for minutes or days, the key is to rise again with lessons learned and renewed strength. Focus on building your character. The byproducts—profits, nice cars, or any other material success—will naturally follow. When you have strong character and are a positive presence in your family, community, and workplace, success comes back to you in various forms. If you found this insight valuable, like, subscribe, and share your thoughts in the comments. Welcome to the second episode of the new original podcast “Interview With Myself”. In this episode, I interview my Success. I invited my Success on this podcast after interviewing my Failure last episode since they are both connected and to me are the two sides of the same coin. One which I despise (Failure) and one which I am addicted too and want extremely to have (Success). I love her and I hate her. I learned from a very young age that she will give me value and love more than anything else which also means that when she is not around it can get emotionally dark. I this episode we discuss what is Success. How Success is always present. We break down having Success dysphoria. We discover that it's not easy being Success and how all the other feelings are actually jealous of her and much much more. I hope you enjoy my interview with my Success. Listen to episode 167 of the Inspirational Living podcast: Positive Success Principles: Integrity, Laughter & Love. Edited and adapted from How Success is Won by Bernarr Macfadden. Motivational Podcast Excerpt: My message today is sent forth with the hope that it will enthuse you who are struggling at the bottom of the ladder of life, and that it may help you to understand that the greatest rewards are easily within reach of those who are willing to struggle on persistently, with a definite and unswerving aim continuously in view. In the strongest terms, I want to emphasize the importance of interest in your work. I maintain that without it success was never achieved by anyone. The one straight road to success is to learn to love your business. You can do best that which you love best. If you have started in a business which you cannot learn to love, then you should go into some other business. You will never succeed in our age of competition unless you can find real pleasure in your work. The mere making of money is not a sufficient incentive. You must find your highest enjoyment in the task itself. No person who works along that line can fade. That is my judgment based on my own experience and observation. Determination, persistence, attention to detail, in fact nearly every necessary characteristic in accomplishing results in any sphere of life, depends upon love for your work.
