As any venture capitalist knows, not every investment pays off. Half of all new businesses fail within the first five years–but today's podcast guest has learned to spot the winners. Brandon T. Adams is a 2X Emmy® Award-Winning Producer, Podcaster, Media Expert, Investor, and Advisor. In 2017, he founded Accelerant Media Group, an agency that produces commercials, social media content, and TV shows. Accelerant Media Group has produced TV Shows and Documentaries such as Ambitious Adventures, Success in Your City, Red Flags, and Beyond Small Town Dreams. Brandon is the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Big Brand Ventures, an advisory and marketing firm that helps scale companies from 7 figures to 8-9 figures in revenue. His expertise in business growth has led to successful campaigns across diverse industries, such as Tech, TeleHealth, Marketing, Blockchain, Entertainment & Film, Franchising, and Consumer Products. From Crowdfunding to Equity Consulting Brandon entered the investing world through crowdfunding. After helping people raise money for their businesses, he realized there was an opportunity to trade his consulting talents and network in exchange for a piece of the company. He could get paid to help the founders increase the value of their company. Not every investment pays off. No one can predict the future and many businesses fail within their first few years, but some turn into other opportunities–and it just takes one good bet to make it a win for all parties. What Makes a Successful Entrepreneur When Brandon is choosing his investments, he bets on the founder more than the business. Part of their vetting process involves auditing the founder to see how coachable they are, if they're open to different ideas, or if there's a real reason they haven't been able to scale on their own. Some of the qualities they look for are integrity, grit, and adaptability. Being open to change is essential because every level of business requires something different from the founder: a different operating system, team, and skill set. To go from zero to $100,000 takes a different person than $100,000 to $1 million or $1 million to $10 million. The most successful founders are able to evolve into what their business needs at that new level. Enjoy this episode with Brandon T. Adams… Soundbytes 15:47-16:03 “I bet on the person, the CEO, the founder. I've seen really good products and opportunities that fail and don't scale because the person running or operating the business is their own worst enemy. They're not open to change.” 17:39-18:04 “What it takes you to go from zero to 100,000 is one thing. Going from 100,000 to a million is one thing. To go from a million to 10 million is a whole other story. To go from 10 million to 100 million…That whole process takes different people, different conversations, different structures, different systems, and you, as the founder and CEO, have to become a different person.” Quotes “If you want anything in life and you surround yourself with the right people and work towards it, you'll achieve it.” “If you can communicate the story, and obviously the brand around it, that's what people buy into.” “When you're around certain people that do things at a certain level, it opens your mind to that level.” “That's the thing with this world, you never can predict the future, and it just takes one time to be right to make it a big win for all parties.” Links mentioned in this episode: From Our Guest Website: http://www.BrandonTAdams.com Connect with Brandon on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandontadams1/ Connect with brandiD Download our free guide to learn 16 crucial website updates that attract more leads and convert visitors into clients: https://thebrandid.com/website-tweaks/ Ready to elevate your digital presence with a powerful brand or website? Brandon T Adams is the Host and Producer of three T.V. Shows on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Facebook Watch etc. He is a 2X Emmy Award-Winning Producer, T.V. Host, and Media Expert. But, in his young days he was so different. He had speech impediment and could not speak like everybody else. So, he got bullied. He just did not fit in. So he would speak and practice in front of the mirror to get better. Now, he gets invited to speak at conferences and universities. He speaks there to help people get way far than he did in a shorter period of time. Watch FULL YOUTUBE INTERVIEW HERE He had always wanted to prove something to somebody, to show that he was worthy of making money. So, he's done a lot of work on himself and got a lot better. He had a career in crowdfunding and went on to launch the 5th largest crowdfunding campaign in history for a book. He's now 34. But at 29, he lost everything literally. All the money he'd hard earned. And when he was younger he found it hard to make money. But, because he wasn't just starting out, he started over. He used the connections, his knowledge, and his brand. This time he was able to make money a lot quicker. Today, He's still following his own disciplined path: making money, helping people, doing the right things and not cutting corners. He became an investor and an advisor. He collaboratively raised over $85 Million for companies. He is an advisor/owner of over 20 companies, 4 of them with a $100 Million Valuation He Co-Founded ‘Rise and Record', an annual event for storytelling through video marketing. In this episode you will take away many promising insights: -What will be the fastest path today to get some fame— to become an influencer, to build a personal brand? -Process of personal branding -What if people want to be known for something but which does not have any business sense: they do not know how to sell, make products. Is there a value in that? -Journey of Adam from an investing standpoint? -How does Brandon keep pushing the goal post forward? How does he intend to keep solving potential challenges while not compromising the goal post? -On what topics does Brandon speak when he's invited to speak at universities and other places -How can anyone get on the show ‘Shark Tank'? Quotes: -Most people over estimate what they can do in 1 - 2 years and underestimate what they can do in 5 – 10 years -You just need to stay focused and disciplined every single day -It gets easier to make money as you get older and more timed on the path -People look at influencers out there and compare themselves. But you need to look at yourself and ask ‘How can I be me every day? How can I be the best being?' -You can buy followers, you can buy likes, buy views. There are influencers with a lot of followers that make no money, they don't know how to monetize it -You just need the right followers, you need the right offer – the right value to give. Talk about things that you like, provide value -Ask yourself what do you want to be known for and who do you want to be known to and then speak to those people -People don't look at the sacrifices influencers make along their way -If you stick with something long enough and start becoming known for something, you don't need a million followers, you could have a couple of hundred -You just need the right people to watch, you need to have a unique value and niche -The more you can acquire likeness and trust now, the more money you'll make in the future -Now is the best time to create a lot of content. -If you put the work in, enjoy doing it, try to master it and stick with it; something will come out of it -Whatever your brand, what you want to be known for, who do you want to be known to are the 2 questions you ask yourself before you create content. -Find somebody who's already achieved what you want to achieve, get them as mentor and figure out how to get in business with them -When you see a lot of wins behind you, you learn and you're bound to succeed -Some of the successful people are never satisfied, that's why they keep going -Why to focus on all the negative things some people say when there is always at least one person who says how valuable and good you are -I love my fans and pray for my haters -I invest not only in companies but also in people; when I make those big investments, it also helps me grow -Some people go on these extravagant vacations and some buy nice new cars, but I make investments -You can get creative on utilizing capital, even if it's not your own capital to get the things that you want -How can you structure deals and give value to multiple parties, where everybody gets a win out of the situation Brandon's Social Channels https://www.facebook.com/BrandonTAdams https://www.instagram.com/brandontadams/ https://twitter.com/BrandonTAdams https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3zWi3j7non3GTa1ekMeWQQ https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandontadams1/

If you haven't tapped into the power of videos in building your personal brand, then you better start right after listening to this episode! Our guest for today is Brandon T. Adams, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer and co-founder of Rise and Record. Join us as we uncover the secrets to establishing a powerful personal brand through video. In this episode, we will dive deep into the significance of investing in the right mentors, creating the right content, and the power of branding. We will explore some power takeaways from our conversation, including building a personal brand through video, staying focused on the vision, and the importance of storytelling through video. Finally, learn how to create content that resonates with your audience and document your journey to success. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: Building a personal brand through video Staying focused on the vision The importance of telling great stories through video The power of spontaneous viral content The importance of having a “like and trust” Episode Highlights: [06:22] The Power of Video in Building Your Personal Brand It's been proven that when someone can see our eyes, they are more likely to trust us. And when we smile, we're perceived as kinder people. These psychological cues help to build likeability and trust, which is essential for a brand. But remember, a brand is not just about projecting a positive image; it's also what people say about it when the brand is not present. This is why video is such a powerful tool in building your brand. [28:52] Telling Great Stories Through Video It all comes down to telling a great story through video assets. Video is not only the future, but it is now. By leveraging the power of video content, you can create a lasting impact on your audience and achieve your goals. [31:26] How to Create Content Most of the content is created via phone due to the lack of investment in videographers and other resources. The primary concern for listeners is the value that the content can provide. Who you are, what you do, and how you can help others hold significant importance. Your personal brand is a reflection of who you are as a person. Elaborating on how you assist people through your services, events, programs, or agency can create a long-lasting impression on viewers. Consistently creating content with these elements can lead to direct messages, website traffic, and recognition on the streets. Documenting all of this can also be immensely beneficial. [40:38] The Power of Consistency in Building Your Personal Brand The more times someone sees you, the higher the probability of sales. Increased revenue enables you to support your family, contribute to good causes, and achieve personal well-being. Rather than being perceived as selfish or greedy, building wealth can help more people and create a better life. With only one life to live, it is imperative to invest in a mission and purpose for building a brand that benefits oneself, their family, and others.
