I'm about to become a dad. And as excited as I am to meet my son Van, becoming a father has also made me think deeply about my own childhood, the kind of father I want to be, and the kind of man I want my son to grow up watching. In Episode 3 of The Turner Cavender Experience, I talk about my relationship with fatherhood growing up, the incredible strength of my mom, the example my stepfather gave me, and some of the fears I've had as I prepare to become a dad myself. I also talk about the things I hope to give Van that have nothing to do with money or possessions: faith, integrity, work ethic, adventure, kindness, experiences, and knowing that his dad will always show up for him. This isn't an episode about me telling anyone how to be a father. I haven't even become one yet. It's a snapshot of who I am right now—before I meet my son—and the man I hope to become for him. At the end of the episode, I speak directly to Van about what I hope he learns from me and what I promise to work toward as his dad. The Turner Cavender Experience Real experiences. Hard lessons. Faith. Family. Business. Adventure. If this episode connects with you, follow the show and share it with someone who might need to hear it.

Starting over sounds inspiring… until you're the one actually having to do it. In Episode 2 of The Turner Cavender Experience, I'm talking about what it really felt like to walk away from businesses I spent years building, lose a huge part of my identity, and figure out who I was when the thing I had poured my life into was suddenly gone. For years, I thought success meant building more, growing more, carrying more, and proving more. But when your identity becomes wrapped up in what you've built, losing the business can feel a lot like losing yourself. In this episode, I talk about the financial pressure, the mistakes, the lessons, asking my wife for help when things got tight, and what starting over taught me about business, identity, resilience, faith, and rebuilding. Starting over doesn't erase everything you built. You take the discipline. You take the failures. You take the relationships. You take the lessons. And you build again — hopefully from a wiser place. If you're in a season of rebuilding your business, career, health, relationships, or life, this episode is for you. The Turner Cavender Experience Real stories. Real lessons. Real growth. If this episode connects with you, share it with somebody who may need to hear it.

Episode 1 of The Turner Cavender Experience starts at the beginning. I'm Turner Cavender, and I think it's time to reintroduce myself. In this episode, I share the experiences that shaped who I am today—from growing up with hearing loss and racing motocross, to building businesses, owning gyms, losing an identity I had spent years creating, starting over in real estate, strengthening my faith, becoming a husband, and preparing to become a dad. Some of the greatest lessons in my life came from the wins. A lot more came from the failures, mistakes, hard seasons, and moments when I had to figure out how to get back up. That's what The Turner Cavender Experience is about. Some episodes will be my stories. Others will be conversations with guests about business, family, faith, adventure, success, failure, and the experiences that changed their lives. Because everybody has lived something somebody else can learn from. If one story, one mistake, or one conversation helps you take one good step forward, this show is doing exactly what I created it to do. Welcome to The Turner Cavender Experience.
