God has promised that the wicked shall be cut off from the land and the blessings that attend it. God has promised the righteous and abundant prosperity in the Kingdom to come. An exposition of Psalm 37:9-11. ★ Support this podcast ★
Presenting several of the six questions on how the land was divided when the Children of Israel came to the land of Israel -- from Rav Pappa to Abaye. Also, as an interruption to those six cases, an interlude that pays attention to the righteous conduct of Yehoshua (Joshua) and Kalev (Caleb) who inherited the portions of the land of the other spies (who spoke ill of the land). Plus, an example of the premise that biblical verses are interpreted to teach different things when they otherwise might be seen to be redundant.
Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. —Joshua 1:7, ESV

Psalms 37 is a unique Psalm written by David in his older age. His advise to Trust in the Lord even when we see bad people prospering for a moment is very encouraging. He challenges us when we wait patiently for the Lord, we will inherit the earth. Listen to it and be blessed.
Inherit The Land (God has a Home for You) by Pastor Mitch Coston

Sermon by Joseph Bayly | Christ Church Cincy | June 21, 2020 | Psalm 25
As a promise passed on through centuries, the land that God showed to Abraham is now before the tribes of Israel. After the previous generation dies in the wilderness and Moses says his final words, it is time for Joshua and the Israelites to inherit that land. As they enter, God repeats His promises to Joshua, saying “I will never leave you or forsake you.” God is faithful and keeps every promise, going before Joshua’s armies and giving them the victory. The promises and victory that guide this journey lead us to know better the ultimate battle that was fought for our salvation. How can knowing that victory help us against spiritual enemies, today? What promises of God can we cling to? There is a musical bonus after the sermon from Bethany's Created 2 Worship group as they sing the spiritual, "Joshua Fit The Battle of Jericho."

Don’t fret about troubles coming from troublemakers. Be meek and do good.
We begin our study of the book of Numbers. A major feature of this book is the forging of the Hebrews to become a single, true nation of and for God. Numbers chronicles two national censuses taken of the people: The first census counted the multitude which came out of Egypt. The second counted the new generation that was to enter and inherit the Promised Land. Although named “Numbers”, this book deals much more with the wanderings of Israel under God’s direction. Picking-up where Exodus left off, in reality, it is more a story of the arrested progress of God’s people after they were freed from Egypt to serve God in the land He was giving them. Join us as we continue to learn about Israel's beginnings and consider how God used their long journey in the desert to prepare His nation to conquer the giants inhabiting the land of Canaan. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/biblestudyweekly/message
Throughout the Tanakh (first 39 books of the Bible) the promise of Resurrection is clearly seen, especially in the Psalms. It is the promise that sustains our hope during difficulty. It calls us away from the desire to be transported from our problems and instead be transformed through our difficulty. It teaches us to persevere in hope that God will bring to life what seems to be lifeless. How dead is your promise, your situation? Let the consequences of your faith in the resurrection in Jesus result in displaying His kingdom coming to earth today.

In Deuteronomy 6, Moses has been taking time refreshing Israel's memory about what the Lord has done, is doing, and promises to do. At this point, all of those who came out of Egypt have died off to leave a new generation of Israelites who will inherit the promised land.
