One thing he told us is the Alabama 50th Anniversary Tour at Bluestem Amphitheatre on June 6th is going to have to get pushed back and they're working on finding a new date. He's also thinking it'll be early Aug. before we see events at Bluestem. Nielsen says music venues and promoters are taking a big hit and they'd like help from you to let Congress know they need financial support in order to survive. It's estimated that concerts generate $10 billion for the local economy benefitting hotels, restaurants, taxis and retail stores. It's the only family with 3 generations to hit the charts. Gunnar and Matthew Nelson will be appearing at the Fargo Theatre to feature the music and life stories of their father Ricky Nelson. Before the Nelson family came to fame in the TV comedy "Ozzie and Harriet", their grandfather was an orchestra leader and their mother sang with them before they got married. Little Ricky and big brother David came along and the TV show was born which often feature Ricky with his music. Now Ricky's twin sons who have been playing music for over 30 years, will appear at the Fargo Theatre with video, stories, and real life experiences about their father and his music. Matthew gave us an update on his family including their actress sister Tracie, their late uncle David and his mother's side of the family, the Harmon's of sports and acting fame. Nielsen has brought tons of national and emerging acts to Fargo, ND and the surrounding Midwest region, as well as launched a separate ticketing arm of his company called Tickets300.
