This week on The School Runway, Cara and Bronagh are joined by the outrageous and hilarious Megan Marchant, creator, mum, hat lover, and queen of hyper chaotic content. From inflatable fancy dress disasters to viral Lee Evans impressions, Megan spills all on her unexpected journey from smoothie bowls to 100k followers, her love of hats, wigs (and backup jackets), and what it's really like creating content with kids and a judgemental dog watching on.Megan's creative roots go back to her art and design studies, followed by a stint as a hairdresser. Her love for colour and styling now shines through in her interiors, bold, playful, and full of personality. From paint choices to cosy touches, her home is a true reflection of her vibrant eye and evolving taste.Megan also shares her unapologetically honest take on beauty, favouring budget buys where possible that actually work for her. Megan proves you don't need a platinum budget to glow.Expect unfiltered stories, questionable deodorant confessions, style inspo from Asda to interiors, and a LOT of laughs. It's chaos, concealer and connection, with three mums muddling through the mayhem and still managing to laugh about it.Connect with MeganInstagram: @megankatemarchantMegan's home and interior design account: @at.home.with.the.marchantsTikTok: @megankatemarchant Hosted on Acast. It's time for more personal picks from your hosts and James has landed on one fairly lost to time Mouse Hunt (1997). Before Gore Verbinski was documenting pirates in the Caribbean, he was making his debut feature with Nathan Lane and Lee Evans about a pesky mouse that won't go away. Down-on-their luck brothers, Lars and Ernie Smuntz, aren't happy with the crumbling old mansion they inherit… until they discover the estate is worth millions. Before they can cash in, they have to rid the house of its single, stubborn occupant—a tiny and tenacious mouse. (Sourced from Letterboxd). Will this film that distressed young James still have the same effect today? Will Cass and Matt enjoy the slapstick shenanigans or is this a childhood watch that should remain forgotten? Also featuring an in-depth discussion of the new film Challengers, the song J was trying to reference was the "yeah yeah yeah" one but he forgot words.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly's most-successful comedy was 27th on the AFI's Top 100 Laughs 23 years ago. It's a movie that stands out on that list because very few of those other grinners go for broke like this does. There's Something About Mary often toes the line (sometimes even crosses it) with wildly politically incorrect material, but it was—and still is---truly funny. Guts were busted in our house for a full 2 hours, even at a lot of the cringe comedy. Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz are a good match, but Lee Evans and especially Matt Dillon steal the movie from those two lovebirds. We weren't as loony about the infamous gross-out gags as others are and Ryan doesn't think the film entirely works. The rampant stalking is a problem, sure, but maybe Stiller & Diaz aren't quite right for these roles? Well, however YOU feel about There's Something About Mary, don't comically struggle to pick up your keys while pretending you have a severe back injury and be careful when you're zipping up your fly as we continue the Month Of Crazy Stupid Love with Have You Ever Seen #492. Thanks for checking out episode 44 with Martin Potts who works for the distributor KORG UK in a role as UK Artist Relations for Paiste, Vic Firth & Mapex drums but also has control of the marketing for Mapex in the UK.In this episode, Martin and I chat about his history of playing drums which included him reaching grade 8 at a young age, but sadly due to problems with arthritis couldn't persue much in his playing career. So we naturally discussed his journey of working within the musical instruments industry and how he started working in a drum shop and has worked his way up in the world of musical instrument distribution within multiple companies to where he is today and how the industry has changed over the years. We also discussed some interesting topics such as artist endorsements and what Artist Relations at drum companies look for in new artists and how artists should initially approach them with regards to applications etc. Martin also talked about how he organises the marketing side of things for Mapex including social media content and how difficult it can be to get it right. Overall, a really interesting conversation from another side of the drum world that doesn't often get covered on this show.I hope you enjoy this free episode, please subscribe to the podcast via your podcast provider & YouTube, like and review where you can and share with anyone else who might be interested. If you've enjoyed any of my episodes, please consider joining my Patreon community via Patreon at http://www.patreon.com/drumforthesong/ for access to exclusive content, group video calls, competitions, giveaways plus 20% discount at http://www.motorhead-beer.comI'd like to give a special thanks to my top-tier 'Groove Master' Patrons for their extended support. Throw on your hautest couture and grab your Multi Pass, as we dive into the sci-fi ingenuity and unavoidable ickiness of Luc Besson's The Fifth Element. Can we get some more backstory on those steampunk armadillo-ducks? Does Ruby Rhod's hair tube get in the way when he goes down on someone?
