That title got you, didn't it. The world we live in is super complex, especially when it comes to sex and sexuality. Often, what God has to say about sex (which is a really good thing, by the way) is almost directly opposed to the other messages we're hearing. So what does God have to say, and what is the good news for people today? Join us for Commandment number 7, "You shall not commit adultery", and hear what God says in Genesis, Exodus, and 1 Corinthians. This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 4 June 2023, and was followed by discussion groups.
It's really important how we live, and there are links between who we are and then how we act! What is God famous for? Even if you've never been to church before, what would you say is the thing that God has done that he's famous for? This talk was given at Junior High on Sunday 19 May 2023.
There is SO much in life that can make us feel overwhelmed. School, work, family life, keeping up with friends, church; all of these things are good, but hard. This talk was given at Junior High on Friday 17 March 2023.
It can be hard to stand up for what you believe in, especially when it seems like everyone is against you. God knows this, and as he calls his people to life for Jesus and witness to them, he recognises that it can be hard and he gives hope and encouragement to keep going. If you'd like to hear more about share life, head to https://www.christchurch.com.au/sharelife This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 26 Feb 2023.
Revelation 2-3 has a section of the Lord Jesus addressing 7 different churches in Asia in the 1st century. Fortunately, it's not just messages for these guys back then but are encouragements and challenges for us 2000 years later, as we seek to live as Jesus' church. We did things a little differently this week, and so if you'd like to follow along, pick one (or all!) of the 7 churches from Revelation 2-3, and ask the following questions: What's something you love about this passage? What is the characteristic in this passage from the vision of Jesus in 1:12-16, and what does that show about who Jesus is? What encouragements (if any) does Jesus have for his church? How can we be spurred on by this encouragement? What warnings (if any) does Jesus have for his church? How can we heed these warnings? How would this change the life of someone who loves Jesus? This talk was given at Senior High on Sunday 12 Feb 2023.

WHAT'S THE POINT? The book of Ecclesiastes has MUCH wisdom about everything. Join us for Summer Camp this year as we explore the fact that everything is meaningless, we're not the main character, and that Jesus is king! This talk was given at Summer Camp 2023 on 14 January 2023.
WISDOM WITH MONEY There's so many shiny things in life that we might want to try and live for. Ecclesiastes helpfully shows us that these things won't satisfy us and we can't live for these, but that Jesus gives us meaning which calls us to be generous. This walk was given at Summer Camp on 15 Jan 2023.
WISDOM AND PURPOSE If everything really is meaningless, then WHAT IS THE POINT? Ecclesiastes says that everything is meaningless, sure, but we then ought to pursue wisdom from God and the meaning he gives us. This talk was given at Summer Camp on 16 Jan 2023.
WISDOM WITH LIFE AND DEATH Life is great, so enjoy it while you can. But there's a huge problem; death is coming for each of us. Ecclesiastes has a small amount of good news though: you'll have to read it to find out! This talk was given at Summer Camp on 17 Jan 2023
WISDOM IS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CREATOR Throughout the pursuit of meaning in Ecclesiastes, we land in our memory verse, with the entire point: Fear God, Keep his commands. Follow Jesus. Forever. This talk was given at Summer Camp on 18 Jan 2023.
This talk was recorded at Senior High on Sunday 6 November 2022.
